Here's the new thread

OP posts:
bebejones · 06/04/2010 10:45

DD hopefully will have a nap, she slept over 3 hours yesterday in the afternoon & still slept 12hours last night! The worst spots are on her face, and she won't leave them alone so am covering her in calamine & given her Piriton as well so hopefully we can avoid scarring!

She is feeling perkier today, just caught her drawing on my living room walls!

The Wii is fab, I love it, and I think I might have convinced DH to get a Wii fit board, with help from my BIL!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/04/2010 11:38

Hi. Having a fab time at Bognor. Sun shinning. Been very bad with food but have lost my motivation at the moment till dh stuff is resolved.

Sorry for Everyones gains. Hope weight falls off again for you all.

Hope spots aren't too bad and hope op on wed is ok.

Will reply later in more detail when home x

Poohbearsmom · 06/04/2010 16:28

Trimmer i think il try it with the foil mmm fudge cake wud prob be amazin will have to wait till in havin visitors as dh doesnt eat cakes or stuff like that much and it wud jus end up being me having a gorge fest

bebejones · 06/04/2010 18:12

PBM - wish my DH didn't eat cake he's the only reason it's still 'allowed' in the house. (Plus I really like baking!!)

Blondes - glad you had a nice time away & hope your DH situation is sorted soon.

Had Quorn 'chicken' burger for tea with salad & lf chips, was yummy! Deffo back on the diet train today! Will have a yoghurt in a bit, already planning Blondes roasted veg for 2moro.

Haven't managed to Wii but did walk 2 Tesco & back again with 2 really heavy bags, think my arms were twice as long by the time I got back! Might do Wii when DD is in bed!

Murtette · 06/04/2010 20:56

Anyone on a diet next Easter should come and stay with my MIL who "doesn't have a sweet tooth" (a phrase she mutters several times a day) and so has no cake, biscuits, chocolate or anything like that in the house, even at Easter! I've never not had an egg on Easter Day before. The good news is that I lost 2lbs so am down to 13stone...hoping to see a 12 on the scales next week!

Cote - congrats!

Jodie - well done on getting into your pre-baby jeans. That's something I can only dream of at the moment! Is your arm totally recovered or are you having to do loads of physio etc?

Dis - hope all works out. Once you've taken the granule things, I highly recommend camping out in the bathroom with a stack of magazines!

bebejones · 07/04/2010 14:31

Just changing my target weight!

Been to hospital, got to practise injections on a sponge!

Just over 2 stone to lose by the end of July...might be possible? Lost over 2 since we started and that's less time than that.

Well done Murtette.

GettinTrimmer · 07/04/2010 15:46

Afternoon all

bebe I think we must be similar height and build, 10stone 7 would suit me fine!

I counted 16 weeks to go until the end of July, so another 2 stone is 1.5lb per week?

murtette well done on your 1lb.

Took dc to cinema today, we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 - very squeaky.

I am quite surprised really that I put on as much as 3.5lb, I did eat and snack alot, but going on like that could gain a stone in only 4 weeks.

Anyway, exercised today, Davina's aerobics

Hope all's well today with all of you.

OP posts:
bebejones · 07/04/2010 15:52

1.5lbs a week is definately do-able! I'm 5'4" Trimmer, I could be less than 10st 7lbs really, but one step at a time, that would at least give me a 'healthy' BMI which is the main objective.

GettinTrimmer · 07/04/2010 16:59

We will do it bebe. I am not sure if I am 5ft 4 or 5ft 5! I don't think I can maintain my weight below 10 stone 7.

It is sometimes difficult to get motivation back after easter, etc, but I am managing to kick start myself again.

Just thinking about our thread title - now it's not March anymore does anyone have any ideas?!

OP posts:
bebejones · 07/04/2010 17:22

What about '2010 weight loss club, 2 stone or more in time for the summer' or is that a bit of a mouthful?! I am actually 5'4.5" but I usually round down! Maybe I should round up might make me seem skinnier!! Apparently I would still be a healthy weight at 8 stone I don't think I would feel healthy at 8 stone! I agree maintaining anything less than 10-10.5 stone would be really tricky for me too! I like cake way too much!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 07/04/2010 19:19

What about
2010 weight loss club: Here comes the summer
or
2010 weight loss club: Here comes the sun

some must be near their goals, not me I have some way to go and others may want to hang around to maintain, but we all seem to be aiming for the summer now??!!

Any how, just popped in, having terrible probs with Internet, bloody virgin media.

Poohbearsmom · 07/04/2010 19:33

Hi guys hows all this eve? Im such a tool iv eaten pizza and potato croquettes, a mini mars & a muffin! am gona which is plagueing me... Def agree new title good idea i like Piste's "here comes the summmer" wit mayb jus "2010 weight loss club" at da start?? i dont mind really as long as long as i can find ye someday we shud use da 'butterflies emerging from our caccoons" (sp?) one!

JODIEwantsanewname · 08/04/2010 08:04

Hello all.

Forgive me girlies for I have sinned

I've been sort of good over the weekend (healthy dinners, but a few bites of chocolate in between, but have been running)

Anyway, yesterday I felt pants really horrible, so I snacked all day and then last night I had chicken pie and chips from the chippie It was lovely though, and it was just what the doctor ordered, but will I feel the same wbout it on Saturday when I weigh in?

trimmer How easy is it to put weight on? considering how hard it is to lose, it always baffles me, it's not nice is it?

Piste nice to see you again

bebe I took motivation from you last night and after my piggy day I did 60 sit ups last night! (a case of too little too late I think though) I'm going to try to keep it up as my 'mummy tummy' is quite embarrassing, it needs to go before the flimsy summer clothes come out again!

My vote goes to the 'here comes the summer' thread title.

Hope you all have good days, I'm off to a friends house for lunch and a 'playdate' for the kids, she normally does a really healthy something or other, so that will be nice x

bebejones · 08/04/2010 09:28

Jodie - I'm sure one 'bad' dinner won't have that much impact, fingers crossed anyway! Well done on the 60 sit ups, 40 is my limit when that gets easier I will step it up a bit!

I'm feeling rubbish today, think I must have some sort of bug. Was freezing & achey last night when I went to bed. Woke up this morning boiling hot (temp was over 39) really dizzy & feel sick. DD woke up at 5.30 as well which doesn't help! Although her spots seem to be improving now! Haven't managed to eat yet as feel so sick, just been sipping water. DD has been sat on sofa watching Cbeebies & hugged me & said 'mummy hot', bless! Hoping it's just a 24 hour thing, hopefully DH will be home just after lunch & I can go back to bed!

Anyway, enough of my moaning!! Hope everyone else is ok today, at least the sun is shining here!

Poohbearsmom · 08/04/2010 09:59

Ah bebe ya poor luv tis hard looking after da family when sick isnt it... Jodie how scrummy! iv quorn & veg lined up for lunch & chick & veg soup i made a huge batch of for tea (again today) made scrambled eggs for breaky but da boys wudnt eat it & i scoffed da lot! im such a savage lads need to cop myself on big time

RatherBeOnThePiste · 08/04/2010 10:56

All sinners are forgiven! This is long haul remember.

When I had a sneaky midweek peak at the scales today I had reached the two stone marker. That feels great!

I had a very productive day yesterday. I have 3 pairs of trousers that fit although one are a bit too big. So I put all The rest (my fatty jeans) etc into a bag, and there were quite a few and sorted out loads of stuff that I never want to wear again and took 3 bags to the local dump for shredding / recycling. Very satisfying indeed, I recomend it!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2010 15:00

diet and life still pants here

well done everyone

and bebe take clothes to charity shops that is what i did the 1st time i lost 4stonne but keep one pair and hopefully they will inspre you never to be that big again

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2010 15:00

piste even

GettinTrimmer · 08/04/2010 15:09

Hi all

piste glad you said all sinners are forgiven! I packed an easter egg with our picnic lunch for the dcs. I had a few bits, just about to log it on foodfocus.

Very well done, 2 stone!! Wow!! I also had a sneaky peak and my gain seems to be going down already.

PBM You're forgiven as well, we are hanging on in there together! As Piste says, it's the long haul.

bebe sorry you're feeling grotty hope you get to rest.

jodie yes, not fair, so easy to put on weight!

We've been to the zoo today, walked and walked around with the dc, dh says his favourite animals are the capybaras for some strange reason We saw a gorgeous tiger asleep just by the screen.

At least some of the chocolate would be walked off with all the walking.

blondes hope you are OK, see you soon

GettinTrimmer · 08/04/2010 15:12

x-posted. Blondes, come on and chat to us whenever you feel like it.

OP posts:
bebejones · 08/04/2010 16:07

My confession time, just eaten a Brie & Grape sandwich DH brought me home from the Deli! But I figure it's the only thing I have eaten today (and likely to eat as feel rubbish [serves me right emoticon]) and at least it had fruit in it!!

Piste - well done on 2st & on the clear out!

Blondes - feel free to chat to us if you need to!

Jodie - it is amazing how quickly it goes on when we slog our guts out to lose it!!

Trimmer - bet the zoo was great, it's beautiful here today, just wish I felt well enough & DD was pox free to go and enjoy the sunshine! I'm sure all the walking will work off the chocolate, plus you ate it outside & that halves the calorie content doesn't it?!?!?!

Poohbearsmom · 08/04/2010 17:43

Piste fantastic uv hit ur first two stone youv inspired me to try harder Thank you! feels great gettin rid of fat pants doesnt it! id put some away then i read u should never hold onto them or a little part of you will always know they r there just incase... so i got rid of the lot (cept da one shrunk n the wash...)
Trimmer id love a day at the zoo what fun & personally im a major sucker for the monkeys i liturally have to be dragged from them they r jus so cute little bit of choc or Brie wont do much harm... i on the other hand am a great big stonkin pig
Bebe lol at ur 'fruit sandwich' bet it was gooood, love suprise food
Blondes whats going on? Are you ok hun?? Am going through a rough time with dh myself at da mo, must be the weather for it...

GettinTrimmer · 09/04/2010 09:16

gorgeous day here, but have to stay in waiting for the oven engineer to fix one of my little accidents (just after the handbrake incident I dropped a jar on the lid and it shattered). He's just told me it will cost £220 for the call out and part

That brie and grape sarnie sounds good Bebe!

PBM You'd have liked the monkeys, little tararind ones were very cute, swinging in their hanging basket.

Just made myself do 1/2 hour of Davina, her aerobic section. While watching Outnumbered last night I had a coconut macaroon, 8.9 grammes of saturated fat! Oh well....

One of us can start the new thread today? I vote for 2010 Weight Loss Club: Here comes the Summer.
