2010 Weight Loss Club - Lose 2 Stone by March (ish!) - Part 3

Here's the new thread

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 22/03/2010 10:26

I will be hopefully losing weight until the end of July Bebe, and after that I'd still like to hang around to maintain the weight loss.

At the end of March we could have a new title.

Good luck to your DH on his Cambridge diet. Will he exercise as well? Hope dd is better soon. Mine was off sick with ear infection last week.

OP posts:
bebejones · 22/03/2010 13:24

DH is going to exercise too. But giving it a couple of weeks to get used to not eating!! He is planning on doing swimming as he has a knee injury. Then his personal trainer mate is going to let him have full access to his gym whenever to use the weight etc for toning & eventually a bit of muscle! So proud of him for doing this, just hope he sticks to it!

We will def need a new thread name then, need to keep this up! I'm hoping to be at (or really close to) my goal weight of 10.5-11stone by DD's 2nd birthday at the beginning of August. Got about 2.5stone to go and 5 months(ish), not sure if it'll happen as quick as this first 2 stone but I can but hope! I hate looking at the pics of me on her 1st birthday!

My new bra has arrived, very excited to try it out!! How sad is that?!

we are all doing well, i always said it would take me till jluy to lose my weight, so not sure what to call new thread?

laughalot · 22/03/2010 18:12

Well done everyone lets keep it going !!!

I lost 1 lb this week I thought I would have done better as ate salad all week and im sure that muffin last night wouldnt have that much of a effect, saying that the doc has changed my pill around and I should be having my af now but doc advised to take new pack of pill when my others had finished so my body might be a bit messed up.

I did however go to asda today and bought a size 14 bikini and 14 kaftan which makes me feel good as when I started the diet I was a 16 but nearly going into a 18. I am just looking forward to going on holiday in june and feeling more sexy .

Right chins up girls this week lets do it. I tell you our nightmare week will be easter.

Ooooooooooh sorry can someone update me please, thanks

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/03/2010 19:18

Evening all!!

We had such a great time at the Sport Relief mile in London yesterday - the run, the atmosphere, plus it was totally fab on the celeb spotting front .... David Cameron ( overtook me ), Eddie Izzard ( amazing and very happy to talk to everyone), Fearn Britton ( was being very friendly and jolly ) were our favourites plus Strictly dancers, BBC news bods like John Inverdale, Chris Hollins, plus lots from the soaps who were having their own race within the mile, but as I don't watch soaps I did not know who they were!! DD was also pleased to see Peter Bennett-Jones who is Mr Comic Relief himself slogging it down the mile ( he came to her prize giving). I will tell you that running is a great leveller!!

The funniest thing of all was that me, DH and DS were on the mile programme that was on BBC, Sunday at 4ish. Sadly not DD and her mates as they were being too speedy elsewhere! Now as you may know this was my total nightmare, but actually I did not look like a total weeble prat!! Also it was only for 5 seconds, but I actually looked ok!! THANK GOD I've been with you guys since Jan

Plus, I was not stiff today, although just before the run yesterday I thought I was having a heart attack then realised it was just constriction from my very effective sports bra!!

Congratulations to everyone on the losses and sts this week. I am very up for keeping this going until the summer. My problem is that I am very good when I put my mind to losing weight and I can very easily put it back on too but maintaining has always been an issue for me.

Cutting to the chase - my battery is dead in my scales, so it will have to be tomorrow for me, and I am hopeful for a loss.

Piste x

Poohbearsmom · 22/03/2010 20:40

So annoyed id a bag long message wrote then my dumbass phone crashed grr dono what i started talking about but i was sayin poor dd bebe my g.p have me alot of advice for ds1 as he was very prone to getting everything going, she said put him on a tonic or multi vit, not to bring him out in cold weather unless really necessary, make sure his chest is really well covered when he's asleep, he 's a blanket kicker & refused to use a gro bag, id altered 1 opened it on da bottom & sides & used to put it on him after he'd fallen asleep but when he got bigger he copped onto my trickery so now i put a high neck top under his p.j's or a light jumper on top she also said its very imp for little ones who get lots of colds/sniffles/coughs NOT to hav more then 1 or max 2 baths a wk! i was shockd as loads of ppl bath dc's everyday but she was adament it can be da key so i did as told! we also give them honey & lemon (no water) only a few spns cause its strong but super for em my boy def was a 100times healthier this winter then ever b4. ya might know or hav tried all this b4 but i thought since its helpd my lil man i wish it cud possibly help ur baba ((hugs))

bebejones · 22/03/2010 20:58

Thanks PBM - Took her to doctors coz she woke up screaming, coughing and gasping from her nap. Covered in sweat, temp sky high despite regular doses of calpol/ibuprofen. GP suspects a throat infection although she didn't really want him to look so not 100% sure. He has given her antibiotics, so fingers crossed! I'm a bad mummy and only bath her about 3 times a week anyway! I mean how dirty can they get at that age! She also has multivitamins coz she is a rubbish eater, not sure they have helped though!

Anyway that's way off topic!

Piste - well done on the run! Glad you had a good time!

Laughalot - well done on the size 14!

Well done to all losers & STSers!

mrswill · 22/03/2010 21:29

Hi guys, well done all you Monday weighers!!!

bebe Big congrats for reaching 2stone, that is so amazing!

Kayz how you getting on without DH? Is everything OK?

Piste Well done on the SR mile! Did you run or walk it?

I would love to celeb spot, however there aren't many celebs in rural Staffordshire I went to my local one (went, not ran!) It was good fun, disco, BBQ, sun was shining! Life was good!

Laughalot Well done on the 14 bikini! Isn't it great that inches are starting to come off now

Dis you are being missed hope everything is OK

PMB Your posts sound more cheerful now, hows your bum? (Thats not how it sounds )

Blondes how was WA? Did you have a good time?

Talking about inch loss, does anyone feel as though every 1lb is making a difference now? I've only lost 2lb's since I last measured my waist and another inch has disappeared. I think positive thoughts about my pretty dress is helping!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/03/2010 07:45

Woohooo another 1lb here

Jodie - I ran the mile!! Not with any style but I really did, but it was so public - people cheering you on, BBC cameras everywhere... it was the time to pull out the stops for sure

bebe How's dd? Hope she's better soon. The antibios will hopefully sort her out.

piste well done on your 1lb and the run! I saw Eddie Izzard's programme about his 43 marathons, he more than pushed his limits - amazing...I like celeb spotting, I saw Ken Livingstone last year on our flight to Corfu!

Will update you next laughalot well done on your 1lb.

Jodie Agree it's really making a difference with the inch loss, I've not lost much weight this month so far, only 1.5lb, but my waist seems to have gone down half an inch.

I must say though, it's getting more difficult now, I feel hungrier than before. What are everyone's really filling foods to stop the munchies?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2010 10:15

LAUGHALOT well done on lb and getting into a 14

PISTE well done for doing run and your 5secs of fame on tv

BEBE hope dd is better soon

MRSWILL well done for sts

PISTE i LOVE that new title

JODIE ell done on inch loss, and my wa is this sunday (28th)

PISTE well done on 1 lb loss

TRIMMER i have my trusty bns and i eat raw cauliflower as well, which dh says makes my farts stink (prob tmi but what the hell)

im finding this week hard as i am nn every night 9-7 so i eat earlish and then go and sort out baby (2.5weeks) awwwwwwwwwwwwww so cute and snuggly, but i cant nibble ther as not my house, so i will have to take some snacks (healthy) tonight to munch on

its not good being up at 1am and 4am as i get the munchies

bebejones · 23/03/2010 14:31

Help! I have succombed to the call of the caramel digestives! Had one, now I want the rest!!!

DD asleep so going to do some Davina in the hopes of working off the digestive!
Will also help stop me eating the rest of the packet, although part of me feels I would be doing DH a service by ridding the house of such things! Stupid friends bringing stupid yummy biscuits into my house!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/03/2010 14:51

Bebe - one biccy won't hurt. I had 2 nobs yesterday

how is dh doing?

bebejones · 23/03/2010 15:20

Blondes - It's not so much the one biccy as the lack of willpower to not polish off the rest of the packet! 30mins exercise dvd seems to have killed the need though!

Think AF is looming & all I can think about is cake & chocolate!

DH is doing ok, but can't stop thinking about food! I'm sure he'll get used to it!

JODIEwantsanewname · 23/03/2010 15:39

Not got time for a full post, but was lurking and just have to say

BEBEJONES

THROW THE BISCUITS AWAY. AND THEN SQUIRT WASHING LIQUID..... If you don't eat them and DH won't eat them then who will?????

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/03/2010 16:20

What Jodie said....

Put them in the bin/ recycling/feed to happy ducks. Neither you nor your DH need them lurking in the house.

STEP AWAY BEBE
STEP AWAY BEBE
STEP AWAY BEBE
STEP AWAY BEBE

Poohbearsmom · 23/03/2010 17:06

Feed the ducks BEBE dd wil love it hi all chat later xxx
