Forgot to say absolutly LOVE Cork Jodie! We toured around the south of ireland on our honeymoon & based ourselves in cork it was pure magic il never forget it, we had such a fab time the ppl are so friendly they dont ever talk just sing everything

JODIEwantsanewname · 03/04/2010 16:31

PMB at all your health woes, big unMN hugs to you....
I'd forgotten about all the singing, but you are right, singing everywhere, and they all have such beautiful voices! Something I didn't inherit!

JODIEwantsanewname · 03/04/2010 19:10

Oh and I meant to say earlier, I got into my pre baby jeans today

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/04/2010 20:42

Pbm sorry to hear about cysts in your boobs. Hope all is ok

jodie. That's fab. Well done!!!

bebejones · 03/04/2010 21:06

Well, got to my Mums without DH & DD has got Chicken Pox! Just can't believe it, she is covered. Had just 2 'spots' on her face this morning which DH thought were where she has been so snotty but now she is covered! Just want to go home

Mum has a big roast beef dinner planned for 2moro, which i shall try to be good & have mostly veg.

PBM - so sorry about the cysts, fingers crossed that it's all ok

Jodie - well done on loss!

Poohbearsmom · 04/04/2010 10:48

Ah bebe the poor baba enjoy your roast plenty of veg and some nice roast meat wont do any damage tis the puddings we must worry about... Jodie thats brilliant!

bebejones · 04/04/2010 11:03

Only banana custard for pud coz we forgot!! So not too bad really! Was excused from going to church this morning coz of the poxy child! Just as well as DD was awake most of the night

Happy Easter everyone, try not to eat too much chocolate!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/04/2010 11:36

Bebe. Aww your poor dd. Though very envious. Have ben trying to get the pox for last few years. Been to pox partys and lots of slobber and haver caught it grrrrrrr

have a good easter everyone. Dh and I are Off to
my parents for lunch

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/04/2010 21:12

Diet completly gone out the window today. Eaten far too much and been a right piggy

going away tom for 2 days with a friend so there will be bad/junk food eaten.

Dh problems will hopefully be resolved/sorted next week and will be back on diet track

hope you all have good results in tomorrows weigh in xx

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/04/2010 08:20

Morning All!
Just me and DS up at the mo - DD and DH still snoozing away! Hope everyone had a good Easter and scoffed chocolate, although Trimmer `I drooled over the thought of you veggie strudel, that sounds lovely! Jodie I hope you are wearing your pre baby jeans every day to show off - well done!

Bebe Hope you managed to enjoy Easter with your mum, and that her weekend went well too, will she be able to relax a bit today? Your poor spotty daughter! My two had the pox at this time of year, DS had it combined with scarlet fever, but DD managed to have it on the day we moved house - she was 5 - great timing!

Laughalot - interesting to hear that you are doing a CACHE course - I often have students with me who are on levels 2 or 3, usually the child care, learning and development one, I have a very nice (mature ) student at the mo whose file is now finally with the assessor, so she will have finished.

PBM Sorry about your cysts and all the anxieties, you really are not having a good run at the mo.

Blondes Enjoy time with your friend, and hope DH gets sorted.

Cote Congrats on reaching your goal, the first one to do so I believe, and Mummymels still losing is doing just that, so well done!

We had a really busy weekend, on Saturday we cycled about 15 miles along the towpath to watch the Boat Race, also that was great fun, plus loads of exercise for all. And our team ( obviously Cambrige ) won against the predictions. We stood right/sat on the riverbank opposite the finishing line, it really was exciting. DD starts rowing this summer and is very keen (understatement) Her school is a strong rowing school, and there was a boy in the Oxford boat who used to go there, and they often have Olympians. It was great for her to see how the experts do it. They make it look so easy!

When I said to everyone that I didn't want an Easter Egg, I hadn't actually meant it so when I didn't get one I shouldn't have been surprised! Probably a blessing anyway, but my two loved the Easter Egg hunt in the garden ( they are 10 and 12) and it was lovely to see DD forgetting to be all-so-cool and enjoy herself.

Anyway to cut a long story short - I have lost 2lbs and am so nearly at my two stone marker so I will be there next week My next target is to lose the 7 or so pounds to become an official healthy weight, and I cannot remember the last time my weight started at 11 something.

Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday everyone
Piste x

laughalot · 05/04/2010 13:09

Hello quick message I shall post back later iv stayed the same this week I dont know how as iv ate like a pig this week.

bebejones · 05/04/2010 13:12

Afternoon all! Well done on losses!

I will weigh in 2moro morning, I don't expect it to be pretty!! Have eaten more chocolate than DD! She was given 7 Easter eggs! She's only 19months so we will still be eating them at Christmas!!

Back on the wagon from 2moro. Gonna be doing as much exercising as possible, not going out anywhere because of the pox though!

Disenchanted5 · 05/04/2010 13:17

Hi girls,

sorry I haven't been on, I've been pretty ill.

I've had to quit weight watchers because I'm having really bad stomach problems, possibly IBS or crohns, I'm trying to figure out what might be triggering it whilst waiting for my hospital appointment, they are going to put a camera up to try and see whats going on.

So I really can't think about weight loss at the moment,

but hopefully I will loose weight as I'm trying to cut out rich and spicy foods altogether like choc, cheese and stuff.

so will pop back to see how you are doing,

its looking great your losses are amazing,

you are all doing so so well!

GettinTrimmer · 05/04/2010 13:55

Afternoon all

Jodie well done on your 1lb loss. Congrats on your ds winning their competitions! It's a great feeling being able to get into clothes not worn for a while, isn't it?

PBM I will link those recipes when I find them, the strudel thingy was lovely. Delia and Nigella are genius!

Sorry to hear of your worries, but sure you will be alright when they've checked you out.

I've only been to Dublin for a few days, but would love to see more of Ireland. I loved the people, so friendly.

bebe Sorry to hear of dd's chicken pox, these things always come at the wrong time!! You and me both weighing in tomorrow, I have eaten so much!

blondes enjoy your 2 days away, hope all gets sorted with dh.

Dis Nice to see you! Sorry to hear about your stomach problems, hope you get sorted.

Well, we have been chilling out at SIL this weekend, lots of eating including snacking on tortilla chips and dips while playing Trivial Pursuit - very calorific!! As dd says naughty but nice.

I am hoping to stay the same tomorrow like laughalot - well done!

GettinTrimmer · 05/04/2010 13:58

Oh and piste well done on your 2lb! Your weekend sounds great. I hope my dd will like sport when she's older.

It's a great feeling being 11 stone something, but after this weekend I may have to really concentrate on healthy eating to get back there!

OP posts:
Poohbearsmom · 05/04/2010 16:11

Thanks Trimmer, glad you had a nice weekend welcome back dis sorry youv been ill when they checking ya in the hosp? Im in for my "up camera" and other stuff on the 16th the bowel prep the day before is not pleasent but ya have a flat tum after... Silver lining and all that hope you'l be ok, come and chat with us when ya get a chance, it doesnt need to be bout diet! I talk about my backside most of the time

bebejones · 05/04/2010 20:32

I have food remorse!! I have eaten sooooo much lovely yummy food crap today! We just had a ta pizza for dinner & I ate way too much, plus eaten a tonne of chocolate including a creme egg!!! Back to the celery sticks and water for me 2moro! But hey, it was Easter & I lost loads the week before. Who knows maybe a bad few days will boost my metabolism when I get back on it this week?!?

Dis - So sorry you are unwell, do come and chat to us, we don't just stick to the diet chat! Hope they figure out what it is soon & you get treatment asap.

Trimmer - glad you had a good (albeit non diety) weekend! We can hold hands for the weigh in 2moro, I am not expecting it to be a loss here, sts would even be a miracle!!

PBM - I would love to visit Ireland, maybe when DD is bigger & do a 'tour'. Hope you are feeling ok?

I have a hospital appt Weds which I'm really not looking forward to as DH will prob have to stay home to look after DD as she can't go to PIL as SIL is visiting & is PG. Bit scared as it's all needles and nasty stuff this week!

Hoping that jumping back on the wagon won't be too tricky with all this chocolate around! I shall just have to sniff it & drool as DD chomps it all!! [dribbling emoticon]

Poohbearsmom · 06/04/2010 00:00

Ah Bebe so sorry wed will be a tough one we'l hold your hand da best we can! I think your right bout da kick starting your metabolism obv if we eat mad everyday we'r jus gona pile all we lost back on but if we still enjoy da "occasions" & odd treat we can still keep goin (at the pace of a snail n my case ) Blondes i thought i was the only one who has "chased the pox" & still not managed to get it! we had a long term patient wit it when i was only a few wks pg wit ds1 & we all got tested to check immunity (sorry im such a crap speller dont think i got that one right) anyways i was the ONLY person who had none! they sent me home!! i was shipped to another part of da hosp for a few wks, my 1st time being an outcast Trimmer i was bored earlier & googled Nigella omg i almost licked my phone!! Her recipes look amazin id never be able to do em i think though... I couldnt figure out with the scrummy choc cheesecake one how u can put cling film round da tin before putting it n da oven? wud it not melt? am so clueless dont mind me...

Poohbearsmom · 06/04/2010 00:18

Forgot to say aswell of course ye shud all visit Ireland at some stage tis quite fabulous even if i do say so myself we'v done a good bit of touring the country & iv been to most every place, so many beautiful places, BUT im a Galway girl & theres no where i could reccommend higher! will not bore ye all wit a big tangent (my usual style) on how amazingly wonderful it is..... But it is

bebejones · 06/04/2010 08:12

Well my 3 days of naughtiness have resulted in a 1lb gain Did sort of expect it though, just hoping it's gonna be easy come easy go!! [fingers crossed emoticon]

GettinTrimmer · 06/04/2010 09:13

No worries, I am really really on track and determined to get to my goal at the end of July.

It will be difficult to exercise over easter hols as dc are home - I will try to fit in my exercise dvds and take dc out for a run around.

It is incredible to realise how quickly the weight can go back on, after going for a scrummy pub lunch with dh last Thursday and the weekend away it just went downhill.

PBM I don't bother with the clingfilm, just put loads of foil around. The foil would protect the clingfilm from melting if you do that. Not a difficult recipe to make and very gorgeous - I did 2 cakes for SIL and they got scoffed in record time.

Every recipe I've every tried of Nigella's always works really well. Not a good subject atm, but she has a beast of a chocolate fudge cake....

bebe the 1lb will be gone before you know it! Same with my 3.5lb

OP posts:
bebejones · 06/04/2010 09:22

Every Delia recipe I try always works fantastic too, her Christmas cake is amazing!! Must give Nigella a whirl!

I am determined to get back on track. Like you Trimmer I want to hit my goal by end of July as DD's Birthday is 9th August & I'd like to be thinner for that. I look so awful in the pictures of her 1st Birthday that really spurred me on to lose weight when I looked at those!

DD is happily playing with some Night Garden fuzzyfelt poor little thing has yet more spots this morning

I shall try to do some Wii Boxing today. Did my usual 40 sit ups before bed last night & I can definately see some improvement in the tummy bulge from doing them

GettinTrimmer · 06/04/2010 10:00

Hope you can get a chance to do your wii today then Bebe. Will dd have a sleep? I remember the chicken pox, I must've used bottles of chamomile lotion. Is she very itchy?

We are thinking seriously of getting a wii, I've heard of people who have stopped using it when the novelty wears off, but I think we would use it and do stuff with the dc.
