Having cranked (literally) out 2 DC in 18 months,youngest nearly 2, I feel its about time get my "I'm a lady" head back on and finally stop avoiding reflective surfaces... I'm 5ft 1" and 8st 11lb and would like to be 8st 2lb which is easier said than done.. major driver is a big big big job interview in three months - somehow I feel that if I'm back at my pre-kid weight I will be back at my pre-kid brain-power (phnarrghaha etc)so ..hhhm - where to start? not really done diets before but need something structured to stick to.. Thinking of the special K plan with added salad?! Ideally I want a nutrionist MNer to post me up some strict instructions - but in the absence of that am going to go Special K + fruit, Special K +veg , decent healthy meal, cut boooze and treats and see how we go.. anyone on for it?!

Hey EVye- well done, that's brilliant!

I haven't weighed myself since Monday's depressing result and not feeling too confident about tomorrow's weigh in despite doing lots of walking this week.

Was just thinking about setting another short term goal-

I want to be 12.5 stone by 27th March as I'm going on a girly weekend away to alton towers with one of my best friends!

So that's only 2 weeks away- probably a bit too optimistic- depends what weight I am tomorrow and then I will decide. If i am 13st it will be too much to lose, if I am 12.12 it will be achievable (2.5lbs a week).

How is everyone else getting on...?

Hi everyone! I'm back! I haven't got any results to post, as I've not ventured towards the scales. I haven't overeaten, but I definitely haven't undereaten either. I'm heading out for a run in a minute - I've got a great new GPS app for my phone so I'm going to use that as a motivator and do Race for Life in June.

Last night I went out and had 15 outfit changes before I went as all my clothes felt so tight and horrid I just keep reminding myself that AF is due any day now.

4 weeks until my holiday, what do you all think I can do?

Well I've not been around the last few days as my weight was back up to 13st. Am so disappointed, especially as I have been good this week and walked to school everyday except one and been out for a run. I was so disheartened that I have lost the plot a bit this weekend...had takeaway curry at friends on fri night but we did make our own boiled rice and I brought low fat naans and only ate about half my curry. Then had pizza express yesterday as my mum took me and dc's out for tea while dh was watching the rugby.

AF still due too, my back is feeling a bit crampy so maybe I will get it this week. That would also explain my craving for chocolate!

Prinnie, you can still lose quite a bit in 4 weeks.

Hehe - I think the OP left long ago! Don't get too disheartened TNMM - you've done so well and I'm sure it's just a blip and it sounds like the disappointment damage isn't too catastrophic.

I'm meant to be working from home this morning ready for a big event tomorrow but am going to take a break and go for a run! Will update you all shortly!

Ha, we're just down to the hard core I think TNMM.

Funny this weekend I've felt really unmotivated too. I made cakes with the kids and wanted to scoff all their decorating Smarties. (Not the cake - they tend to sneeze in the mix ).

My dh has got a bad cold and the kids have been sick all week and I am fed up of eating salads. Also I feel like I'm getting dh's vile cold.

I feel on wobbly ground actually . . . sort of if I allow myself some wine or choc or something then I'll just cave in and just roll about in mountains of Easter Eggs gorging myself.

Claudia - Ive been a bit disheartened too. Think we need to remind ourselves of the weight we want to lose.

Prinnie - I think in 4 weeks, 4-7lb is achievable.

I still havent got under the 11st mark but I'm going to try in earnest again from now. Portion sizes have been creeping back up, as have my treats like biscuits and cakes so I need to cut them out completely I think as I just dont seem able to do moderation

Well I've had a stomach bug for the last 2 days and barely eaten a thing.

So for the first time in ages I have a relatively flat stomach and am looking forward to the weigh in at the weekend. I've just got to resist eating all the food I missed out on over the last couple of days.

EVye I have had to totally cut out cakes, crisps, biscuits etc etc as I cannot do moderation at all.

I weighed in this morning at 8st 11lb (and 3/4).

That's another lbs gone. Yay.

Hi, I'm still around, had a good week and went from 8st 8 to 8st 7 so was pleased but then fell off the wago last night so I'm fully ready to get back on today hoping that next week can be good too as I'm back into a good exercise programme now too. Good luck to everyone over the weekend

I'm still around. was 69.8 kg on thursday (which seems to be my best day for a weigh in).

Today I was 70 but went out for a meal last night so not surprised. The 1/2 stone if lost is staying off but I'd like to lose some more so will try and persevere with the small portions and no cakes/bisuits rule.

Might have to start exercising though

hi ladies, sorry not been here for a while been busy with ds's 5th birthday and not been doing very well...can't even bring myself to stand on the scales!

Also...no AF yet...that's over 6 weeks since last one and, no, I'm not pg thank goodness!
Anyway I really need to bite the bullet...weigh myself and get back to it!

Hi! well I bit the bullet and weighed myself yesterday and I was 12st 13.5lb so still under 13 which was a HUGE relief. So I was good yesterday and weighed myself today and I was 12st 11.5lbs! So basically I haven't gained anything despite feeling like I had!! Am amazed. So I am back to it with a vengeance.

Got my weekend away this weekend and am hopeful I might make it to 12st 10 if I am lucky!!

Claudia- maybe you should just have a bit of choc...is that not what you are meant to do, have it if you really want it!!
