February has four complete weeks, so the aim of this challenge is to lose 8lbs.

How you do it is up to you - I'm a low carber.

We don't use our actual weights,(unless you want to,) but index our loss, so if you're starting tomorrow, your start weight is 100. You drop down one for each pound you lose.

I'm signing in from the 3 week challenge, and will report my weight tomorrow - but for the moment:

supersalstrawberry ? I didn?t even know you could buy all those different % chocolates! Butternut Squash isn?t on the Go Lower list of allowed vegetables. I must try celeriac as everyone raves on about it but I?ve not had the pleasure of trying it yet. What is it like?

Shortandsweet - Brilliant that you didn't put anything on from your lovely meal.

thereistheball - That is a big loss between us all - it really gives me and I hope everyone else incentive to do more.

coolbeans/TheQuibbler - Brilliant on nearly getting to your stone. You will be there very soon.

Isnowsoonenough - It will get easier!

HinnyPet · 04/02/2010 20:58

What sort of carb count is celeriac, anybody know? I've been using the fitday software and it comes up as being pretty high carb and I've been eating loads of it, uh oh!

Failed miserably today - went to McDonalds and had a 1/4 cheeseburger, didn't eat the bun. Felt very virtuous all day til kids were creating merry hell in M&S cafe, I succumbed to the temptation of frosted carrot cake!! Boo!

Hinnypet - I don't know the carb count of celeriac but I am allowed 150g (or half) of it a day. If you have been good all week, I'm sure a little treat one day won't do you much harm.

Strawberry - Enjoy your lovely weekend ahead and happy birthday to DD. My mouth is watering at your food for today!

Well I thought I had failed with a Dominos Pizza
BUT you can work out the calories with calometer and I think my daily count is OK still. I'm only weighing myself once a week.

BecauseImWorthIt · 05/02/2010 00:01

I don't know/can't remember the carb count of celeriac, but I don't think it's that high.

sorry hopefully thats worked

thereistheball · 05/02/2010 07:38

BIWI - I made that celeriac bravas the other night, with chorizo which I fried first so that the celeriac cooked in its oil, and it was delicious. You should try it.

TheFirstLady · 05/02/2010 10:05

Lost 2lbs this week! The Alli must be working. Or, more likely, the fact that it's made me paranoid about eating any fat for fear of consequences. Only another 51lb to go.

I'm out for dinner to Italian restaurant too, it's the potato skins that I shall be eyeing up! But not eating - I shall have a glass of wine to make up for it .... and I shall not have pasta either... so I will have a glass of wine to make up for that too, and I will not be eating pizza... so guess what I shall be having instead ....

isnowsoonenough - that's good that you are still within your points with a Domino's Pizza.

supersalstrawberry - is pig2twig low carb?

racmac - that recipe looks lovely. I'll have to check if I am allowed butternut squash once I can start making recipes too as I would like to try it but it's not on my list.

TheFirstLady - Well done on your first weeks loss.

Well at least I can type today. I didn't get out of bed til 5pm yesterday - thank god for DH taking pity on me and letting me stay in bed and sleep my hangover away.
Have just eaten something for the first time in over 24 hours sick emoticon ->
The wine drunk by my pal and I was quite impressive.

Oops.

Hi all

not weighing in till tomorrow but had a good evening with friends last night. Made some MAHOOSIVE steaks, with salad and the celeriac dauphinoise. they were v pleased (they are low carbing too!) We shared a lovely bottle of red and all the kids ate the celeriac with their roast chicken thighs.

Have still been managing not to stray too far (odd glass of wine and berries really the only higher carb things...)

And I have discovered there is such a thing as low carb beer (YAY!) but haven't tried it as no idea where to find it. But will report back if I do find it...

Will be four weeks tomorrow and I'm nearly a stone down. I have weighed a bit this week and don't think I'll quite hit that benchmark yet but nearly...

Oops. Forgot I name changed.

Hiya Wilf Cilla I think the low carb beer is Holsten pils - all the sugar is turned to alcohol allegedly. (that's what the blokes drinking it in my local reckoned when they felt virtuous and wanted to lose weight LOL!
Am 12st 1so 80 - probably due to being ill all day yesterday!
