February has four complete weeks, so the aim of this challenge is to lose 8lbs.

How you do it is up to you - I'm a low carber.

We don't use our actual weights,(unless you want to,) but index our loss, so if you're starting tomorrow, your start weight is 100. You drop down one for each pound you lose.

I'm signing in from the 3 week challenge, and will report my weight tomorrow - but for the moment:

justwhen · 01/02/2010 12:39

I've just worked out that I need to get to 65 (target with weight watchers 4 years ago). More chance of a date with Daniel Craig than that. I'll try for a more realistic 80 instead - could be months though.

TheFirstLady · 01/02/2010 14:37

Oh dear god, my target is 47. That's a long way off now. Perhaps I'd better focus on reaching 90 by the end of the month.

BecauseImWorthIt · 01/02/2010 14:44

Well that's why the challenge is broken into weeks or months! '8' is a lot more achievable/credible than '53'!

All you have to focus on is the next four weeks.

butadream · 01/02/2010 14:48

Can I join please? Out of 100 I am down to 91 so far with goal eventually being 56. I am doing WW online in a halfarsed manner.

pushmepullyou · 01/02/2010 14:52

Please can I join too?

I lost quite a bit last year and got back in my pre-pregnancy jeans, but put loads back on over Christmas and am now out of them again!

I am at 100 and my ideal target is 82

joe999 · 01/02/2010 15:01

Count me in too please - been looking for the incentive to get back to the gym!!

Joe999 - 100

mamalino · 01/02/2010 15:19

Me too please. 100!

TheQuibbler · 01/02/2010 15:19

Hello.

Just adding in my weigh in today from the last challenge. 90 - so that's 10lbs!
This thread is obviously keeping me on the straight and narrow. Thanks all.

I'm still here too!

Going to declare my real weight now as although it's shameful I am now quite pleased with myself Started new year as 15 stone 4 lb , now 14 st 5 lb today - hoorah!

I think the biggie for me has been giving up bread, but I feel so much better without it
Another half stone in a month would be great, and should be possible....

Here we are then:

Can I ask if anyone uses the protein shakes? I am going to start replacing 1 meal a day with one and just wondering how it worked for everyone else?

Fruitgums · 01/02/2010 16:05

Thefirstlady & Butadream - I need to get to 50. So, I have a similar weight loss to you two.

Good luck to us all xxx

shortandsweet2 - i use protein shakes - i have one with breakfast every morning - it helps to keep me feeling fuller

I buy these ones

www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/protein-powders/impact-whey-protein/

the vanilla one is really nice - i have tried some disgusting ones but these are good

My referrer codeis MP134956 if you fancy any of them

racmac · 01/02/2010 18:08

Can i ask how everyone what diet they are following.

I am giving up wheat and processed foods - going to eat everything natural - and obviously no sugar.

I run twice a week and am starting a Sunday run hopefully and thinking about a class as well

londonone · 01/02/2010 19:29

Can I join, have been doing a mixture of left over cambridge shakes and low carbing for the last three weeks, wedding dress shopping in two weeks time so would like to drop a bit more before then!

londonone - 79

isnowsoonenough · 01/02/2010 19:32

racmac - Im in for the longhaul, no quick fixes for me. Im giving up wine (my main calorie consumption), but I have just had a glass. I'm not going to make myself fed up though. I don't like diets - never have. I am keeping a track of what I eat (writing it down) and checking the calories. Plus going to do more exercise. If it works I'll make a DVD and flog it on mumsnet

shortandsweet2 · 01/02/2010 19:34

Thanks for that racmac, I have bought a soya protein one in the health shop, It is flavorless and tastes terrible but I have bought so going to use it. Does that site you linked charge postage? Also have you noticed any difference, I am going to replace breakfast with a shake and hopefully will keep me going til lunch.
