Following on from my other post asking advice on Atkins, I'm going to give it a preoper go now and aim to lose 10lb by the end of September.

Who's with me - Katisha, Eyeballs, anybody else?

I'll start. This time last week I was 14 stone. I'm now 13 stone, 11lb. WOOHOO!

Personally I wouldn't bother ditching the coffee - I've been drinking coffee, tea and diet coke and I'm doing OK.

monkeyfacegrace · 14/11/2009 20:10

135.5lb today ladies, lost another 1.5lb. So thats 7.5lb in 6 days woohoo!
Im about to have kebab meat and salad though [naughty face but secretly hoping that as there is no carbs im ok]

lilacclaire · 16/11/2009 12:42

Thats great monkeyface.
Well im 10st 8lb today, so thats 3lb lost.
Have not been well, so unable to stock up on the right stuff and had a bread roll yesterday but not much else as feeling like crap.
Am off out to buy lots of nice veg today though.

BecauseImWorthIt · 17/11/2009 14:02

Katisha - have just tried to send you the chart to your e-mail address (your work) and it's been returned. Do you have another address?

lilacclaire · 17/11/2009 14:04

Today im 10st 4.5lb. And that was after i'd eaten lunch.
Is that too much to lose?

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 20/11/2009 14:53

I'm off Atkins now as I have a run of weekends of madness (parties/birthdays/friends visiting etc) and it's all too complicated.

Bloody starving though. hmm.

BecauseImWorthIt · 25/11/2009 10:48

Another 2 lbs for me (now I've finally started behaving properly and really going easy on the wine!). Now down to 10.5

Tortington · 25/11/2009 20:29

i have some protein chilli

if anyone wants it

another thing i tried and didn't like.

Bunnysoprano · 26/11/2009 13:17

I'd like to join! Have lost nearly two stones on the Cambridge diet. Came off that and deluded myself that I could do calorie counting....ho hum....!

Put on 7lbs but have got 3lbs of that off since Sunday by doing low-carb.

I am doing India & Nery's Pig to Twig which I have half heartedly done before. However, after the space dust on Cambridge, I realise how lucky I am to be able to eat proper food again!

I really want to lose 2 and a half to 3 stones and setting myself a target of beginning of April to do that. I am 12 stones 10lbs today.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 26/11/2009 13:19

Hi Bunnysporano! congrats on your weight loss so far, that's amazing.

OK, back to Atkins - or at least a less strict version of it. Carbs just make me depressed and bloated now...

addictive, isn't it!

Bunnysoprano · 26/11/2009 13:25

Thank you - agree re the carbs! They were also making me starving too and thus stuffed myself full of even more pasta etc!

Sliiiiigghhhttllyy worried about all the fat that I am ingesting - this was why I went off Pig to Twig before. I was worried that I would wake up one morning and look like the nutty professor!

However, am making myself do exercise too (groan) which I hope will help.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 26/11/2009 13:27

What sort of fat are you eating?

What exercise are you doing? I was doing Davina's DVD's with the interval fat burning sessions - worked a treat and lost 10lb in the first 3 weeks on Atkins (went down a size too)

Bunnysoprano · 26/11/2009 13:45

Davina too and Bikram yoga (the stuff in the hot room).

Fat from cheese, avocado, mayonnaise, eating some sausages too as I love them but trying to stick to lean protein

Bunnysoprano · 26/11/2009 13:45

ps - well done in going down a dress size!!

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 26/11/2009 13:48

Thank you
Can't be bothered with davina at the moment, just trying to walk a lot more.

It is weird eating all those fattening things, isn't it? I love sausages too - had sausage casserole the other night made with chipolatas and tomatoes. Not strictly low carb though.

Bunnysoprano · 26/11/2009 20:55

Well - I just did my first session of Bikram yoga tonight. I don't think I have ever sweated so much in my life and thought I was going to die.

Unfortunately, I have had a small cheat and had two four (must stop kidding self) squares of dark chocolate as felt as though I was going faint when I got home.

Will check later if still in ketosis and hope so. Slightly worried about the exercise. I know it is good for me but it is making me starving and eat more. Hmmm......

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 26/11/2009 21:17

if you're hungry, eat more

that's the joy of Atkins... just don't scoff tons of cheese have a can of tuna with mayo or something, that'll get your energy levels back up.

Atkins bars are good after the first couple of weeks, the chocolate ones are lovely, really rich
