So, back to the topic - how are you getting on my lovely with shedding a few pounds? Are we being any help at all

dizzydixies · 01/10/2009 21:37

well my guilt levels are increased if that helps

no shouldn't really joke about it, sorry - you're all doing so well and I'm so fecking hopeless. shall weigh again tomorrow and make tomorrow's mission to go and buy some proper scales so I don't have excuse of having to set up the wii

StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 21:42

They often have the WW electronic scales in Tesco/Sainsbo's for a good price

You are not hopeless, just an insanely busy, full time shift working mum of 3 with playgroup/cafe/volunteering thrown on the side. I would sat in the corner rocking if i were you

hotterpotter · 01/10/2009 21:43

Good to see you back Dizz You will have to keep these two in check while I'm away. Hope you are feeling all perky with an underwired bra on

Tis a good job there wasn't any chocolate in the house today or I would have been shovelling it in. Have been snapping at DH all day and he doesn't really deserve --all- of it. It's a combination of hormones plus getting stressed sorting stuff out for the holiday. Surely it shouldn't take this much organising??? One of the final straws was coming into the lounge after doing 3 loads of washing today, putting clothes away, making a sleeping bag for DD, etc etc etc, to find DH comfy in a chair reading a book and he gets arsey with me because I'm cross All he has done to help get ready is to book the taxi, and that was after I got the number and asked him to do it. It's not fair is it? I have had a week off work and he's the one who is rested

God what a load of self-pitying whining, sorry Well typing it out has probably used up a few more calories

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 01/10/2009 21:43

yes but at least you don't comfort eat whilst you rock

hotterpotter · 01/10/2009 21:48

I got my WW scales in Argos, they were £20 and worth every penny for daily weighing

Oh here they are £23 now.

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 21:49

No, i just dribble spill my wine

hots you could be me - i organise everything, do washing, packing blah blah blah and come in to find DH reading a book. Oh, but i book the taxi's too

hotterpotter · 01/10/2009 21:55

I might as well have done it myself Sazz, I virtually handed him the phone and told him what to say And anyway I am going to have to phone again tomorrow because I have thought to check there will be room for the pushchair...

On the plus side I have had go no.2 at waxing, and am reasonably pleased with the results Didn't leave it quite long enough since the first time so am a bit stubbly but it's short and fairly sparse so not bothered. And I remembered to do my knees this time!

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 01/10/2009 22:05

Tee hee, they are blardy useless aren't they? Never even consider any of the logistics . Well done on the waxing BTW, it gets very much easier . I would recommend taking some ready to wax strips or some Veet cream for any little missed bits

Good luck everyone for tomorrow morning

hotterpotter · 01/10/2009 22:11

Yes good luck all

Off to bed I think and see if some sleep can cure my foul mood

Night-night...

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 08:18

Morning - only 1lb off which is annoying as this is where i was Weds and have been really really good food & exercise wise. Never mind it is still downwards, AF still not here so hopefully some additional loss will come with that

Hope you have drops ladies

Off to walk to preschool and back up and down hills with double buggy. Beautiful morning here again

VintageGardenia · 02/10/2009 08:42

A pound is perfectly good Sazz sometimes it's hard to say why/where it happens, you can be the same for 3 days then suddenly bam! 2 lb gone or whatever. Lovely here too but cooooooold.

I haven't even lost half a pound.

I am PISSED OFF because I have eaten FUCK ALL and have exercised really hard.

VintageGardenia · 02/10/2009 08:44

AND I have been taking Colon Care fibre capsule things supposed to clean you out. Pah.

Hots wassap chez the potterscales? Glad your waxing was successful! You must be soooooooo looking forward to heading off.

VintageGardenia · 02/10/2009 08:45

I think I will do tuna steaks and sazzlesa verde for dins.

hotterpotter · 02/10/2009 09:56

Some minor miracle yesterday means I am down 2lb must be cos I am NoHoPoNoMoFlo [sorry]

Sazz maybe your lack of loss is due to impending period? My crystal ball obviously has got yoghurty finger prints on it (like everything in my house) but I'm sure it's coming sooooooon

VG you must be so frustrated but maybe it's due to muscle build-up [hopeful], or, like you say, you'll do a big wee and hey presto

Tuna steaks & salsa verde sounds yummo. We will be having oven fish and chips

OP posts:
StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 10:07

Oh no VG, tis crap i tell you, crap . Mind you on my big exercise weeks it tends to stay on and then drop off the next week or so, so please stay positive, you are doing so well . My 3wk plateau was finally ended with a 4lb loss from nowhere a little while ago

Well done hots on your 2lbs - was that anywhere near your revised holiday target?

I forgot to say that my 1lb brings me to exactly 2 1/2 stone off [hurrah]. My target for next week is 2lbs which will bring me down to a mere 1 stone to lose

If i lose that i will have lost the combined bodyweight of both DD's [cripes i was fat before emoticon]

I was wondering what to do for tea and I like the sound of fish and chips so will go with that. Thanks hots

hotterpotter · 02/10/2009 10:23

Sazz I am 0.75lb off my target so that's not too bad Also am only 8lb off my original end goal but there is no way I am stopping there. I don't think I thought I would really even get below 12st so 11st 7 was a dream goal. Now I am only 7.75lb away and looking towards being 10-stone-something...

I know what you mean about the [cripes I was fat before], just watched a couple of videos which admittedly were from when I was heavily pregnant but OMG I looked like a beached whale . The one brilliant thing about getting ready for my holiday has been trying stuff on and thinking 'that looks good' or even 'that's too big' rather than seeing bulges everywhere

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 02/10/2009 11:12

DH lost 2lbs and I gained 1lb however thats better than I could have hoped for and after you're reining me back in I didn't shovel in a bag of kettle chips that were singing to me from the cupboard. We did manage to have a barney this morning though which is crap considering he wasn't home till sometime after midnight and had to be back in at 9am this morning - he's also gone in to find they've changed his fecking shift from 9-5pm to 9-7pm

am furious and ranting on wrong thread - sorry

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 17:41

Such a shame you didn't crack the 12 hots . Maybe tomorrow morning it will have miraculously fallen off before you head off . Hurrah for holiday clothes - have you treated yourself to just one new item?

Dizz did you get those scales? You can start afresh with new equipment (ooh err) and join us for our daily weekly weigh ins

I have done 45 lengths this avo, so combined with my 40 minute stomp this morning, not all bad. Enough for some wine this eve

dizzydixies · 02/10/2009 17:48

no, been a challenging day all round - will try to do better tomorrow

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 18:24

Oh poor you, sorry it didn't improve from this morning . Do you want to rant on here?

I have my ears open, but slightly hampered ass DD1 is currently drying my hair for me as apparently it is wet

VintageGardenia · 02/10/2009 19:13

Hey it's great you guys are doing so well in approaching your targets! I am secretly very but so so happy for you both too.

dizzy me old duckling you and I are hanging around the back of the bus here. I am off this feckin bus by Christmas or I'll go demented. I was thinking about it today.

If I eat perfectly (grapefruit/coffee brekker, no-fat no-carb salad lunch, and pretty ok low-carb high-protein low-fat dinner with occasional alcoholic accompaniment - seriously I don't drink much these days) and exercise well I maintain my weight or lose very very slowly.

If I eat perfectly & don't exercise I end up gaining very very slowly.

I am very very very much afraid that I am going to have to do something drastic like run/gym every day - maybe have one day off.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 19:20

VG I do gym/swim on tues, weds, thurs and fri. Usially one day of the weekend too, netball weds and tromp up/down hill to preschool once a week. Plus have to FF everything i eat and drink. 'Tis bloody tough but i know its what i have to do too

It WILL all pay off by Christmas. I promise

VintageGardenia · 02/10/2009 19:21

do you really promise?

I can do the gym Mon, Tue, Thur and Fri with creche, and Wed if I give up work time (hmm not sure) and could def do both weekend days too if I get out of the scratcher risey and shiney.

StrictlySazz · 02/10/2009 19:27

Yes i promise
