Thought i'd set something up, as so many of us are interested in joining.

Not sure what goes on in these threads, but guess a good starting point is for everyone to state how much weight they want to lose? Then i guess we need to decide whether to just update each other on progress as and when, or whether we should have a communal weighin say on the 1st of each month.

I guess if anyone has any healthy recipes, or exercise tips, then its a good place to share them too. Also a good place to boast when you've eaten something healthy rather than heading for the biscuit tin , or when you've dropped a dress size or got back in pre-preg clothes (I've had to go and buy more clothes as i'm nowhere near my pre-pg size).

oops, fish and chips, a can of coke and a magnum for dinner last night.

ReeBee · 13/07/2009 10:54

hello? is anyone there? I have done my Monday weigh in but if it's just me here then there's no point in telling myself!

oh, i will do anyway - another lb lost in spite of lots of naughty treats (see prev post!) so slow progress but at least there's progress.

sorry for lack of capitals - one handed typing.

FiKelly · 13/07/2009 16:22

reebee well done you.. I weighed myself this am but 1st chance I've had to post as dh went back to work today and ds has an activity packed day on mondays.

I've not gained this week.. but not lost either. exactly the same this wk as last.. oh well! I plan to do more walking this week with the pram and ds on the buggy board so hoping that'll help.. as long as it doesn't make me more hungry!

flippineck · 16/07/2009 20:42

I meant to check in earlier this week but forgot, sorry! Another pound off here, despite the birthday celebrations. 13lbs to go to pre-preg weight!

ReeBee · 20/07/2009 10:05

well done flippin

another 2lbs here, hurrah.

pulapula · 20/07/2009 10:15

I feel a bit of a fraud as I am now 10st 8lb, down from 11st 2lb three weeks ago, but that's probably from not eating much due to loss of appetite with my PND. I am getting my appetite back now so no doubt things will change in the future.

I might even see if some of my pre-pg jeans fit me later as i am only 4lb more than my pre-pg weight now.

Aargh, dropped something on the keyboard and deleted my post!!

Anyway, as I was saying: despite 1 bottle of wine and 2 cans of cider and eating like a pig over the weekend I have not gained any weight at all. I haven't lost any either, but still...

I can see it all going down the drain over the next 2 weeks. I love crusty bread with honey and we're going away for 2 weeks to France. I always end up overendulging on their bread (my breakfast is usaully a whole french stick on my own and usually I end up having a bottle of wine in the evening too

FiKelly · 20/07/2009 12:29

well done on either losing or staying the same.. I unfortunately have put on 2lbs this week which is very disheartening as I walked with the pram and buggy board loads last week and watched the naughty foods etc.. I feel like going back to eating whatever I want from the naughty list so at least I have a reason for any more weight gain! the other is that I've now been solely breast feeding for 2.5weeks.. no formula top ups at all and since then I've not lost any weight at all.. I don't understand!?

flippineck · 22/07/2009 14:07

Late checking in again, but there isn't much to report anyway - no loss or gain this week. Must try harder and not rely of BF to use up calories!

ReeBee · 27/07/2009 13:30

wow, pula, am so envious of your weight loss - you're not a fraud at all, that's brilliant!

I've lost another lb this week but actually thought I might lose more - I'd lost 2lbs on Friday but had a naughty food and alcohol weekend (friends staying, wedding do, curry, bacon sandwiches...) so must have put a lb back on again.

Fi, how bizarre about your gain. Fingers crossed it was just a blip.

I, too, am using BF as my main diet aid... I know I could be eating better and exercising more but hey ho, maybe I will get round to it this week!

flippineck · 27/07/2009 13:42

ReeBee - well done on your ound off, despite the weekend!

I've managed another pound too.

FiKelly · 28/07/2009 13:28

well i still can't understand my gain last time... this week i went off the rails and have eaten chocolate, crisps & biscuits.. in fact anything i fancied and whenever i fancied it and i've dropped from 1.2lbs!!! so now i'm even more confused with food choices than ever!!!

well done reebee & flippin on the lb loss.

FiKelly · 28/07/2009 13:32

sorry didn't make a lot of sense did that?! obviously can't bf and type with a brain in tact?! meant i've lost 1.2lbs this wk

pulapula · 28/07/2009 13:47

Well, I am glad that my appetite is back and I have still lost a couple of lbs so now 10st 6lb, only about 2lbs off my pre-pg weight. And I can fit into some of my old jeans

FiKelly · 03/08/2009 08:02

well pleased to report.. no gain this week :-) but still the same as last wk.. 175.8lbs so still 10lbs to get to my pre g weight

daizydoo · 03/08/2009 08:09

Hello ladies, I'm finally joining this thread. After ds1 I lost all my weight in about 6 weeks. It appears that this is not going to happen this time I don't really have much motivation but I need to do something. I'm hoping to cut back on the rubbish I've been consuming and do a bit more exercise. I've about a stone - 1 1/2stone left to lose...

flippineck · 03/08/2009 09:42

I've managed to gain a pound this week, boo! It was because of the bad weather, DD1 and I quite often bake when it's rainy and then of course we have to eat the fruits of our labours.

ReeBee · 04/08/2009 09:07

a gain here as well this week - half a pound. I expect I should be more bothered...

Hello, daizy! Flippin, I keep promising DH I'll do some baking but I just daren't as I know I'd end up scoffing loads. Fingers crossed for a hot and sunny August when all we want to eat is salad (and no barbecues!!).

right, must do exercise and eat more healthily... shame am out for lunch 3 times this week!

Am clearly very cheery today judging by the liberal scattering of exclamation marks!

!!!

pulapula · 05/08/2009 15:31

Hi all, I am still 10st 6lb, no change from last week although i did eat fish and chips, sweets and cake last week as it was so nice to have my appetite back.

OP posts:
daizydoo · 10/08/2009 12:17

Oh what a crap week food wise and now dh has just come in with a bar of galaxy - would be rude not to eat it!!

ReeBee · 11/08/2009 08:45

oh well, have lost the half lb I put on last time.

pula, i have NEVER been 10st 6lbs, wow! and at your naughty food.

daizy, hope you enjoyed your galaxy. chocolate's a vital source of calcium afterasll.

Jennster · 11/08/2009 11:41

pula I hope you're REALLY short to be wanting to be less than 10st6lb!

pulapula · 11/08/2009 16:46

Jennster- I'm 5ft 5.5in, and when I got married 5 years ago I was 9 stone. it would be nice tgo get under 10st and back to size 12.

OP posts:
Jennster · 11/08/2009 23:14

God that sounded so rude. so sorry Pula.

pulapula · 12/08/2009 11:06
