Thought i'd set something up, as so many of us are interested in joining.

Not sure what goes on in these threads, but guess a good starting point is for everyone to state how much weight they want to lose? Then i guess we need to decide whether to just update each other on progress as and when, or whether we should have a communal weighin say on the 1st of each month.

I guess if anyone has any healthy recipes, or exercise tips, then its a good place to share them too. Also a good place to boast when you've eaten something healthy rather than heading for the biscuit tin , or when you've dropped a dress size or got back in pre-preg clothes (I've had to go and buy more clothes as i'm nowhere near my pre-pg size).

God I'm hungry and I've just had my lunch. Wholemeal toast with houmous I thing for a snack.

Muesli for breakfast and salad with cannelini beans for lunch.

Tummum · 25/06/2009 22:31

Did 10 mins on the X-trainer this morning. Everything hurts now... my goodness I am so unfit.

But dusted off the Wii Fit. The good news is that I have lost 9lbs in the last month (yay). Bad news is that I weighed myself and nearly fainted with shock at the large number I saw. I think I will be dieting for a loooong time to get to where I want to be . Getting to a BMI of

Belgianchocolates · 26/06/2009 10:21

I know I shouldn't have, but I weighed myself this morning and have gained weight And that's after being really good this week. Oh well. I'll ignore that weight until weigh day.

Belgianchocolates · 26/06/2009 21:59

To make things even worse I made brownies today. Licked all left over mix from the spoon and bowl and then proceeded to eat 3 medium sized pieces of brownie. After dinner I also had strawberries (good) with 2 scoops of ice cream. Dont think I'm doing things quite right

poshsinglemum · 27/06/2009 10:11

Can I join too. I was a size 14 before dd but am 16 now. I'm particularly pissed off with my ginormous tits, mummy tummy and big hips.
I am breastfeeding but have craved a lot of cake this year so the wieght isn't falling off.

FiKelly · 27/06/2009 13:03

posh snap on the ridiculous bf boobs etc. i thought i was doing well on the tummy front when ds (2.75yrs) said as i was leaning over changing his bum... 'look mummy' 'you've a sausage belly'

Belgianchocolates · 28/06/2009 19:26

fi re big bellies. My ds asked me a couple of days ago if I had a baby in my belly again. I'm fearing tomorrow's weigh in. I've overdone it on the brownies and the dcs' loot at the school fete's tombola today.

FiKelly · 28/06/2009 20:12

i'm trying not to think about tomorrows weigh in... in a way very curious and in another i don't want to know!

pulapula · 28/06/2009 21:00

I expect to have lost some weight tomorrow as I have lost my appetite and not been eating much really (I know it's not great when I'm BF but it's been a difficult week for me ). I have recently eaten a lot of cake though, as there was some leftover from DS1s birthday party on Friday.

morning everyone. well I braved the scales.. and yahoo I've lost 2lbs. probably mostly due to the bf because I've had the odd naughty snack but I have been eating a salad with either fish or cold meat for lunch every day.

Belgianchocolates · 29/06/2009 12:07

I braved the scales too and the good new is that I haven't gained any weight... the bad that I haven't lost any either

FiKelly · 29/06/2009 13:15

belgian well done on not gaining I'd have been happy with that... anything as long as I don't gain again.

flippineck · 29/06/2009 14:39

Hello all! Braved the scales this morning and have lost a whole pound! Wish it was a bit more, but not surprising really - I've stopped the cake/biscuits but have hit the wine and crisps instead, oops.

pulapula · 29/06/2009 16:08

Hi everyone, weighed myself Monday and hadn't lost or gained weight which isn't bad after 10 days at my mum and dad's and several meals out, loads of wine, mum's brilliant cooking etc!

Am trying to eat a bit more healthily this week and to do some exercise - I finally feel like I can walk now my episiotomy is starting to heal properly. Walked the dogs yesterday and today and feel quite virtuous.

Am still eating some naughty things - am bfing for heaven's sake, F only 4 weeks old and will never be this free to eat chocolate again (until next time I'm pg!!)

Can fit in more pre-preg things but like someone else only my looser and more comfy jeans. oh, and all my tops are tight due to huge boobage. I do feel like my shape is continuing to change though....

flippineck · 06/07/2009 10:41

Oooh, it's a bit quiet over here - hope you're all still out there!

Weigh in this morning, one more pound off. A stone to go til I get to my pre-preg weight, but I want to shift a bit more than that.

Something very distressing happened yesterday: I found a stretch mark!!!! . I had been feeling really smug pleased that I'd got through 2 pregnancies with none. I got out of the shower, looked down, and there it was, bold as brass, on my stomach. It's purpleish rather than red so it must have been there a while, how the f*ck had I not noticed it before?! When I interrogated DH he claimed to have never seen it before either, but he's probably lying, he knows I'm feeling a bit sensitive. [And before you think I'm really horrible - I do have loads of stretch marks from being a plump teenager, I was just excited to think I had got away with being pregnant!]

ReeBee · 06/07/2009 17:04

you're right flippin, it is quiet. I'm with you on the stretchmark front as well, had loads as a teenager (on my back and boobs mainly) and then thrilled as none through pregnancy until a week after the birth. Really, what's that about?

I lost a pound as well - would have been more except am still eating naughty treats and we had guests this weekend - pub lunch, cider, barbecue, Sunday dinner, chocolate brownie cake, sticky toffee pudding, ice cream.... need I say more?!

llareggub · 06/07/2009 17:39

Weighed yesterday, 3 pounds gone! Hurrah! Lots more to go but 6 pounds to my interim goal. It is quiet, I agree.

Tummum · 06/07/2009 17:42

Not weighed myself yet, am avoiding as have been really rubbish at good eating over the last week, co-inciding with starting the pill

Jael · 07/07/2009 08:49

Quick post while I've got 2 mins. I'm now back to my pre pregnancy weight. About time too! Seeing as all I've been eating on this bloomin' gall bladder diet is fruit, vegetables, salad, and the odd bit of meat or fish, and NOTHING else it's driving me insane. I've been eating this very very strict diet for just over a month now, and I've lost just over a stone so far. I'm counting down till my operation which is 3 weeks away...So, so far I've lost 3 stone since having J 9 weeks ago. I've still got some more to go, as I was overweight to start with. People keep saying to me "Gosh you look good" and it makes me a little Shame I don't feel good inside though, and I wouldn't mind if I'd been dieting properly, but I would not reccomend this diet to anyone, it's too too strict, it's driving me up the walls. Jael X

FiKelly · 07/07/2009 11:51

hi everyone.. yesterday was a totally manic day and tbh was bit peed off with myself.. fell off the wagon last week with mil being down and put the 2lbs I'd lost back on again must try not to eat naughty stuff this week..

Hi, weighed myself yesterday as I wanted to use my own scales, not my mums (they're naughty scales, always making me heavier . I've lost 1kg, about 2lbs! The hot weather made me loose my appetite + drink a lot, so I think that helped.
