How much exercise are you doing DrLove?

Ellibop · 31/05/2009 13:04

I'm all geared up for a fresh start tomorrow too.

Had a girlie night out last night and had been out for a meal the night before etc etc but with half-term behind us I'm determined to get back into my good routine.

Someone recommended planning the day's food in advance, which I don't normally do but am going to start so I know in the morning exactly what I'll be having for the day.

Good luck everyone, let's all be really good and virtuous next week

drlove8 · 31/05/2009 19:11

probably not enough tbh, walk for a couple of hours, but thats spread out during the day.... and just the usual housework/childcare.... did do wii fit for a bit... until dd3 claimed her games consol back into her bedroom! lol ... tried to be extra good today and did the slimfast thing to start again, but swaped tea time meal for a proper lunch instead , so i had milkshake for tea!( tend to nibble during the day.)

reducedfatkettlechip · 31/05/2009 21:27

Well I thought I'd blown it, finally plucked up courage to stand on the scales today, and another pound gone! That's 18 so far, 4 to go. Holiday in 3 weeks time, target date June 19th.. !

So this week I am knuckling down and getting on with it. No cheating, no chocolate nibbles.

And I keep getting told I'm looking "well".

LastOrders · 01/06/2009 00:28

Right. I'm back on it, girls.

I've just had a packet of crisps (at midnight ) and I'm back to shift this weight.

Good to see you Lastorders, what a perfect day to get back into it! I've had bran flakes and semi-skimmed milk for breakfast and will be out and about burning some cals up for most of the day - feeing positive

LastOrders · 01/06/2009 10:01

I had a day of healthyness planned - walking to town and back and trawling the shops for shoes, but DS was ill last night so I'm holed up at home instead

Will have to hoover over enthusiastically instead!

Well done everyone, after today - my birthday - will def be back on track as the scales didn't move in this morning's weigh in .. better than a gain I know.

Just get my birthday lunch out the way, then will be back on track tonight to lose another pound this week.

And the suns still shining in London .. great motivation as thought of getting summer clothes on normally fills me with dread.

LastOrders · 01/06/2009 11:06

It's not your Bithrday by any chance is it, Ducdo....

Happy Birthday! Have a good day.

Eat cake. You're allowed.

Happy birthday Ducdo! Have a wonderful day. And I second lastorders - have some cake!

I had a mixed weekend... a very very boozey picnic on Saturday (at which I drank a bottle and a half of rose ) but as I ate mainly carrots, grapes, hummus and salad i somehow offset the calories and ended up under-target. Yesterday started off well but ended in a takeaway curry (also ). BUT, i did only have a dry lamb and spinach curry and a small portion of pilau rice. I decided to go for two poppadoms rather than seconds of the curry... but after entering them into FF this morning I was surprised by how calorific they were

Still - everything was delicious and I had a lovely weekend so no regrets. Off to a Spin class tonight, and will be having sushi for lunch so no harm done. I sneaked a peek at the scales on Saturday morning and was ed and to see it was 56kgs... i didn't log it though, will wait until wednesday, which I've decided is my new weigh-in day!

Annner · 01/06/2009 12:48

Good luck to everyone starting afresh this morning - it was your euphoria at success on FF at the beginning of the thread that inspired me to try it, so don't give up there!

ducdo · 01/06/2009 14:02

lastorders I know I'm a sad old bird getting excited about my birthday .. don't know why ... its not like I'm 21 but still nice to get spoilt for the day.

You won't hear another word of it

LastOrders · 01/06/2009 17:57

Hope you had a good day, ducdo.

You're entitled to be excited (I still wear a Birthday Girl badge! Because I can.... )

I've not entered yet. Am just about to write it all down and enter in a bit.

Well, I've lost another 2lbs! That's 6 in total.

My scales are digital and give me a decimal point as well, and it said 18 stone 0.0 pounds. Couldn't have just been 0.1 of a pound lighter?!

Happy Birthday ducdo!

Have a good day everyone.

beaniebaby25 · 02/06/2009 15:39

I've had an accident I just went mad and ate two packets of crisps AND a twix

I ate so few calories yesterday (546 according to FF) - which was an accident, i had no money to buy lunch with - and did a 45 min spin class on top of that, so maybe i was just craving a few more calories? but why couldn't i have had them in something else!? I'm really disappointed

Hopefully it won't make too much difference? I am still going to the gym tonight so will work extra hard to try and make amends

PS well done wasting - 6 pounds - thats really impressive!

wastingmyeducation · 02/06/2009 16:11

Thank you beaniebaby.

I have just calculated that you have used 440 calories according to FF, so add that on to yesterdays cals and carry on!
That 10 things you should know about weight loss programme was very interesting and they proved that if you get too hungry you are programmed to go for high cal fatty/sugary food.

beaniebaby25 · 02/06/2009 18:15

That's interesting wasting... think i need to watch that programme. The thing is, I wasn't even hungry (I don't think? ). I'd had sushi for lunch and fancied some salty crisps, then i just couldn't stop. IT felt like i needed it rather than wanted it/was hungry.

I've decided to keep a bag of nuts and seeds in my drawer at work so in case i feel i need a snack. Hopefully that will prevent me from heading to the vending machine

And, second confession, I also skipped the gym tonight. I got a massive sugar rush from the choc and crashed massively this afternoon. My eyes were swimming and I couldn't keep my head up. SO I came home from work and had some cereal instead It's funny when you get used to not having something! Two bars of choc in two weeks!!

beaniebaby25 · 03/06/2009 16:57

How's everyone else doing? LastOrders? Ducdo? Annner?

I've been good again today, feel back with the programme. Cooking home made curry for dinner tonight, with lots of chickpeas and spinach i think.

Also planning a run on the treadmill tonight, hope i can run for at least half an hour. I did the marathon in April and have since found running such a bore. (and I found it boring beforehand too )

Although it's apparently brill at shifting pounds (not my experience while training for marathon! )

HuffwardlyRudge · 03/06/2009 19:34

I decided I waste too many calories on bread. I've been trying to leave it out so today instead of a tomato, cucumber and hummous flatbread, I just had tomatoes and cucumber in hummous. Tastes lovely, healthy, filling, but no big wodge of bread.

I eat a LOT of tomatoes when I diet.

Haven't weighed for ages. Really must get some scales! Clothes feeling looser though.

Annner · 03/06/2009 20:52

Hello there y'all

Had a rather OTT supper yesterday - Italian chicken with lots of olives and lemon, with a couple of new potatoes. Oh, and two glasses of sauvignon blanc. Ooops. Well, it was such a lovely evening out on the patio, my cousin came round, kids had their new paddling pool out. Summer. Yay!

And then the boarding house lunch that I attended at work today was ... home made chicken kiev! A yum factor of a million. So I forwent the spuds and enjoyed the rest. Food designed as exam fuel for the adolescent boys who I teach just isn't that diet friendly! Still, I have been good the rest of the time, and the numbers still seem to be adding up OK. A month ago I would have just scoffed the lot and have had done with it. Now I try to limit the damage.

I've just done a 30 minute session on my rebounder - a good fast run while watching the news and am about to go and cook some thai steamed trout for DH and me. I've been having fun raking through recipes that I haven't looked at for years for variations on the lower fat things.

Well done to everyone who is back up here on the wagon. I meant what I said when I said that your earlier posts had inspired. Go back and read them again if you have any doubts. Yesterday I was reluctant to enter my food, as I hate it when it goes to red before you've even got the wine on yet, but it wasn't too bad in the end.

Period due very soon, so not much loss anticipated this week.

reducedfatkettlechip · 03/06/2009 20:57

hi everyone, not much to report. Still 4 lbs to go. It is proving quite stubborn but I think that's due to my recent liking for Cornish ice cream with caramel sauce. Yum..

Been invited to a cheese and wine evening tomorrow. That doesn't sound diet friendly does it? Am driving to avoid the wine but I know the cheese will get me.

Huffwardly I've been eating houmous and tomatoes too. I love those giant beef tomatoes, they're really filling for piddly calories. Plus big mushrooms.

wastingmyeducation · 03/06/2009 21:11

Kettlechip - Ten things you need to know about weight loss said that eating dairy helps to get rid of some of the fat you consume, so it's better to eat the same amount of calories in cheese than in chicken. Have a taste of each one and you'll be more satisfied by the variety too.
Really good programme that Ten things you need to know!

ducdo · 03/06/2009 21:54

What is it with tomatoes with us all !? I had a tomato salad last night which was yummy and surprisingly filled me up! Was covered in Pizza Express dressing which did help!

For some reason I seem to have stopped bothering to fill in FF after no weight loss this week, but would still like to lose another say 4-5 lbs (currently 9 st 13).

Maybe like Anner says I should go back to earlier posts for inspiration to get rid of those last few pounds.

LastOrders · 03/06/2009 23:14

Hi guys. Well I finally weighed myself again this morn. After putting on 4lb whilst on holiday I'm amazed that I've lost it and also another lb!

So I'm really really

I'm doing well, not entering on FF but still eating healthy and not snacking on crap.

Have got my DPs sisters wedding to go to this weekend (social butterfly! not) so really looking forward to that. And the best news of all is I got into a SIZE 16 DRESS!!!!! Woop woop.

But I miss TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiet Can we stalk her please!?

Glad you are all doing ok, and kettle - your willpower is amazing!

Glad I'm back on track, I was a bit worried that I'd put on so much whilst on holiday, which is why I hadn't been around here much. The shame!

Right everyone... tomorrow is my weigh in day and I am so nervous - and scared i won't have lost anything and I lose it completely. I am due on any day so can use that as an excuse if i have to though...

Advice also required: I have dinner round a friend's tonight, at which there will be lots of red wine... how to i be good!? I can't overindulge and ruin the weigh-in tomorrow. But i want to have fun and enjoy myself

Hope everyone's doing ok? Nearly the weekend...
