oh dear kay and gossip - what did you both do to be bad?

im still being good, so i expect a weight loss on friday

went to pub for hog roast and literally had pork in roll and nothing else and stuck to diet coke

then got back to house and neighbours invited us over for bbq

but i was VERY good and only had some lamb in a pitta bread with tons of salad (4p) where dh had a botle of bubbly, beer and wine

i had diet coke

cooking dh a roast tonight as hes working today

breakie rice crispes, big bowl 2.5 and skim .5 so 3

lunch pasta 3 and pesto 1.5 = 4.5

lamb 4
potatoes 3
yorkies 2
lots of free veg 0
gravey made with oxo cube 0

so 3+4.5+9= 16.5 so can have a ww choc bar and some crisps for treat tonight while watching bgt

Kayzr · 25/05/2009 11:38

I couldn't be bothered to cook and I got a pizza!! Worked out at 18 points. So going for a very long walk tomorrow.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/05/2009 11:53

thats the thing, i LOVE pizza, and its only a bit of bread, with cheese and toppings so why is pizza so bad on ww

happy marching tomorrow to work off the munching

GossipMonger · 25/05/2009 17:57

I havent been counting properly and eating Rice Krispies for dinner to try and counteract the picking!!

Out for dinner tonight as well.......yikes!

dontdillydally · 25/05/2009 21:46

Well first time in 6 weeks and I blew it big time yesterday at a BBQ - drank, ate, and ate and ate.

Believe it or not today my stomach feels huge. I really need to get back in the "zone" - Im feel as though Ive really let myself down. I have a do end of June and HAVE to get into my LBD.

Please give me some inspiration to get back on track

BlingDreaming · 26/05/2009 09:57

Hi all. Not the best weekend although still need to point it up - actually, except for Sunday I think it was probably okay, although not that healthy. Weigh in today. Feeling nervous - don't mind if I haven't lsot, but if I've gained will be upset. Will be very very good all day in preparation...!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2009 14:04

gossip - you get TONS of rice crispies for your points as so light - couldnt beleive how big a 30g bowl was

dilly - dont dispair - you have done so well, so forget about the blip and carry on

bling - good luck with weigh in today

BlingDreaming · 26/05/2009 14:12

I've never liked rice crispies but they're starting to appeal to me now...

Blondes, pizza is high because:

  1. it's actually quite a lot of bread
  2. It normally has a generous amount of cheese, which is high fat
  3. It's often got lots of added oil etc.

I've never done this, but I know people who swear by the home madde fake pizza thing which I think could be much better from a ww point of view:

Make your own tomatoe sauce base and smear it on a pitta bread. Add a couple of toppings and cheese (be stingy if you're on ww I guess) and pop in oven.

Supposedly it's good and you can control size better but have never given it a go myself. My be tempted now though....

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2009 14:28

cant see why not

i make home made pizza for kids using same method

maybe use a tortilla or 2 slices of bread and if you use dolmio light (2p per whole jar) you could use prob half a jar (1p)

2 x bread =2
1/2jar dolmio light=1

small cheese, obv half fat

then add ham/pineapple, sweetcorn tuna etc and you could have 2 pizza for about 8p if didnt use a lot of cheese

i like rice cripses, i do add gran sweetener tho to give a bit of taste

BlingDreaming · 26/05/2009 14:36

Cheese is such a weakness. I had two medium slices yesterday and it was 5 points! I nearly passed out.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2009 14:43

agree

im better not having it tbh

BlingDreaming · 26/05/2009 14:45

Me too.

I've found a good compromise for weekends - I have one slice ww bread, toasted. 2/3 of a small tin of baked beans and then I grate the smallest amount of cheese on top (I count it as half of a portion). Somehow, the cheese just seems even better when it's my one little opportunity.

Kayzr · 26/05/2009 17:42

Bling, I often make pitta bread pizzas for DS1 and they are gorgeous. You can get low fat mozzarella and it's brilliant.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/05/2009 17:47

i ate 2 biscuits that kids and i made this am

but i did judt have a HUGE plate of zero p veg roasted - beetroot, celery, toms and carrots

GossipMonger · 26/05/2009 22:39

You must all try roasted celeriac!!! Tis sooooooooooooo yummy and pointless.

Also, if you go out and order pizza order it without cheese and I promise you will not notice the difference!!

Kayzr · 27/05/2009 08:56

I've decided to try the special K diet too. A bowl for breakfast and a bowl for lunch for 2 weeks. Then a healthy dinner and a healthy snack too.

Also I'm going to give myself £5 for every lb I lose. Then I will have a nice amount of money to buy a new wardrobe with!!

GossipMonger · 27/05/2009 08:59

KAY - I lasted 1 and a half days on the Special K diet! Tis boring.

Why are you not doing WW anymore? Must read down the thread in case I missed it.

Kayzr · 27/05/2009 09:02

I am still doing WW. I pay a fortune for my monthly pass, I'm not going to give it up.

OhBling · 27/05/2009 09:11

HOw can yo udo both?

Sadly, I gained 1lb. But not exactly a surprise - I went back and double checked and in the last week I was over evrey single day except one. Mostly only by a point or two, but it adds up.

I am feeling quite optimistic though as yesterday and Monday were mostly pretty good and I feel re-energised and motivated so am confident I can see some real weight loss by next week.

There's a women in my meeting who's lost 11lbs in five weeks. Amazing.

Kayzr · 27/05/2009 09:12

Easy just work out the points for the special k. I often have cereal for lunch anyway so thought I would give it a go.

noshouting · 27/05/2009 10:20

Morning all, my first week and I have lost 4lb, I am delighted, I already feel that the one pair of my jeans that fit, just, as a little more comfortable.
Its a good job the scales were showing a loss as my cross trainer arrived yesterday I have used it twice and the bearings have gone!!!
It is a rental so the man is coming tomorrow to replace it.
I have always had fears about being thrown off treadmills....when I used to go to gym....
but never about actually breaking machines lol please tell me this has happened to someone else? [hopeful emotion]

Kayzr · 27/05/2009 10:55

I fancy a cheese(low fat) sandwich for lunch. This special K thing isn't going to work I don't think!!

GossipMonger · 27/05/2009 10:56

Kay - you can have the sandwich and the Special K for dessert!

GossipMonger · 27/05/2009 10:57

LF philly cheese and tomato and WW bread!

2 pts

1.5pt for cereal.

YUM!

Kayzr · 27/05/2009 11:00

Yeah! That is a good idea!
