Well done Missnatalie. I've been struggling for about 2 weeks now, but have been back on the straight and narrow for 2 days now.

mileniwmffalcon · 29/01/2009 09:48

well i'm a happy bunny today. had a sneaky peek on the scales a couple of days ago and was looking set for no loss at all and then today i'm magically 2lb lighter i'm super chuffed cos i'm only set to a 1lb loss and i thought i might have to drop down from mod active to mod sed but it looks like all the hiking around i've been doing with the pushchair is paying off. oh and i appear to have talked myself into starting running too .

so that puts me at 7lb down so far - phew! back to pre-xmas now i'm expecting it to slow down now i've only got a stone to go, but that's fine by me.

Dozymare · 29/01/2009 19:24

evening all well I am having to do my weigh in tomorrow (rather than Tusday as I planned and have dieted from) as that is when I joined WLR and inputted my data.....Aaarggh - therefore not expecting huge WL tomorrow as was hoping on having another 4 days of being v.good to take into account IYSWIM. Had a shocker today though, and this is a warning to you all.....went into starbucks where I had a skinny caramel macchiato (tis time of the month and craving sweetness) which is 119cals. So far, so good. Also had a skinny stem ginger muffin - no nutritional value, but I presumed around the 200ish mark, 250 tops......Well my dear friends, never, ever presume - when I got home and checked on the starbusks site, it has a whoppiong 424 cals!!!!!!!!!! I could have friggin had chocolate!!!!! AAArgghhhhhh

Still, hit the spot and t'was nice, but a really good example of where "diet" food really isn't diet IYSWIM. Will update you all tomorrow, hope you ahving good days

FiveGoMadInDorset · 29/01/2009 22:00

I had a costa muffin the other day, a lemon one and was hugely shocked about how many calories are in it. You can change your start date Dozy.

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 29/01/2009 22:48

Evening all. I;ve got 200 calories left today so sitting here enjoying a small glass of Rose Pinot! Lovely, will help me sleep, no lets hope the little ones do!

I must say, after only 2 days of use I am very impressed, but I don't like trawling through lists and lists of things just to find bog standard ham... With FF you could just tick the unbranded box. Am I being thick, or isn't there an option for this?

Dozymare · 30/01/2009 07:27

Morning everyone - jodie that was really, really bugging me as well - if you look though, the "unbranded" things are highlighted with (IIRC) a blue background? Does that make sense

Ok, so today I weigh 15st 2lbs (which means I have lost 1lb since Monday and I am going to KEEP my weigh in day as Friday, as means I have more days in the week to be good as weekend scoffing/socialising is my downfall!) Have to get out of the habit of thinking that Tuesday is my weigh in day though!!!

My total weight loss therefore is 8lbs

Ceebee74 · 30/01/2009 08:30

Dozy well done Can you tell the difference in your clothes? I definitely can - my stomach has gone down dramatically - without exaggerating, before I started the diet, I looked 6 months pg and now I don't think I look pg at all

Jodie Dozy is right, you can scroll down quickly and find the lines highlighted in blue - these are the unbranded ones.

I am off to the gym this morning - yay! DS1 back at nursery and DH is working from home - exercise at last!!

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 31/01/2009 08:28

Resolution no 1001 - NOT TO LOOK AT SCALES ALL WEEKEND.

I'm a real bugger for weighing myself every time I go in the bathroom. It can make a difference of about 2lbs throughout the day.

Hows everyone getting on?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 31/01/2009 08:34

Well done Dozy.

Mornign all, I am liking WLR I find it a lot more comprehensive then FF, it will be interesting to see if it ever gets up and runnging again.

I used up some spare calories on a bottle of wine last night and 3I am still under for the week sofar.

giraffescantdancethetango · 01/02/2009 00:19

Been reading about this on here. Never been on ff, everythim i tried it was server down message.

Joined WLR as trial tonight- im in love already. Love the graph and all the cal details.

Im definetly going to join.

giraffescantdancethetango · 01/02/2009 07:37

First breakfast using WLR - weighed food and measured OJ. Have been drinking more OJ than what a portion is so am surprised by that! My porridge is about the right size as I usually have so was relieved as need my morning porridge lol.

I filled in a pretend day for today, sort of like a plan, and was a bit by how little it is so have made it 1 1/2lb to lose a week, Might up it if I am ok on this. Going to the gym later.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 01/02/2009 11:53

I have splurged the past couple of nights bit still within my total weekly allowance so should be OK.

Interesting 1st February and FF is back on line.

Dozymare · 01/02/2009 19:16

evening all - welcome giraffe gerat name!!! Look us up on WLR - I am my MN name as is Jodie and Fiveindorset.......(IIRC

Have had a bad day today - had friends over for lunch, lots of wine and some crackling....plus a creme egg and DH cooking up a stir fry now!

At least my weigh in is a friday as it gives me 4 days to be super good, am also PT tomorrow and on Wednesday so shoul.d be ok despite being naughty.

Hi All.
Just wanted to say how fab I think WLR is. I used it about 4 years ago and lost 2 stone which I have (mostly) kept off since. For me it was a really convenient way of learning how much I really should be eating for my given lifestyle. It also taught me which of my treats are worth the calories. I found it a really good way to motivate myself to exercise.

My only tips are:
-be realistic about your rate of loss. I went for half a pound a week.
-never cheat. Once you have done it once the temptation becomes too great
-always weigh yourself first thing in the morning or there is too much variability and you can lose confidence in their target calories.
