I have been awful today, eaten loads of crap, but did do hard gym workout and danced last nt.

I think I do the limit I have without exercise ( Ihave a large allowance, as a large lady and losing slowly) and any extra is good. I also tend to treat myself if I haven't used my allowance, usually with alcohol as not a big choccie eater.

WARNING - weigh EVERYTHING....I was going with their standard weight for a chicken breast (100g) and weighed mine, it was 200g so therefore ahd to input that!!!!!

This is what I am learning so far - my portions are BIG (probably why i am!!)

Good today - porridge for brekkie, beans on thick toast for lunch with 5 pieces of breaded wholetail scampi and dinner is chicken breast marinated in ginger, spring onion and garlic stir fryed with fresh noodles and a half fat casear salad. THat's my lot though but am not getting hungry which for me, is a first on a diet!

that dinner sounds lovely dozy. I was made to have a chinese tonight!i will log it but cant find any of the lovely things i had to eat on the site. dont want to kid myself by not putting it down.can anyone help?had two crispy duck pancakes, some boiled rice, 3 pork balls and 2 chicken balls. compared to what i normally have i'm very pleased with myself!

hi all - can i please join? Had breast cancer last year and put on some weight with all the steroids and meds i had to take.

Current Weight: 11 stone 2
Goal Weight: 9 stone 12lbs
BY: 19th May 2009

I have a cross trainer - would 30 mins on that come under light aerobics do you think?

Evening and welcome Huffpuff Sorry to hear about your health, but hope your feeling OK now. Ive added you to our list, hope you don't mind. I;ve also tidied it up abit [sad cow emoticon] Also Cross Trainer is hard, I'd give yourself more than light aerobics!

I've been OK today, been on the go all day and been very concious (sp?) of keeping active so DS1 has been loving it! still 200 cal under. I;m going to start being more concious of weighing things though now you've said that Dozy. Jennybee 16st1lb target 10st10lb by 29th september 2009.

Hello Huffpuff and welcome.

Jenniebee have you figured out your chinese yet?

If not going very roughly from the weight management book this is an idea of what the cals are:

2 chicken balls - 150 cals (includes s&s sauce)
3 pork balls - 275 cals (includes sauce)
Rice 2 serving spoons - 100 cals

The closest I can see is peking duck which is 300 cals and includes the sauce and veg.

I've had a good couple of days and even managed a couple of treats, i'm off to make some brocolli and cauliflower soup now its lush and very much fat free!

Tesco Pasta Penne Wholewheat....I DEMAND extra good bonus points for choosing brown pasta....I can't even find white penne, let alone brown...

Anyone?

Bettysboots if you go to add food you can copy the info off th packet and it will save it forever more in your added foods bit.
I usually add the values for 100g and then weigh as I need to.

I have a BREAKFAST -
bowl of Special K with SS Milk

LUNCH
Bowl of Veg soup

DINNER
Something low cal, last night Chicken stirfry, or chili with lean mince etc

Snacks are usually an apple or Kit Kats are quite low (for chocolate)

if I want anything else I just do some exercise. HTH

I;m on 1600 or something. I do manage to sneak in a few treats during the day, or 'pick' at DS1's food, so it all starts creeping up!
