If any body has recipe ideas aswell think it would be good to swap so we don't get stuck in a rut with the same old food.

Dozymare · 08/01/2009 20:38

nannyogg well done on 2 and half stone last year, and very encouraging tht you did it via food focus. We are all wondering if it will stay free forever, did they try and get you to pay a subscription at any time????

I have also tried numerous times to diet working out points in my head etc, but actually find myself cheating.......this way, there is no way out and I just think this is like an online WW meeting without the cost!!

five I love food and cooking, but when I am dieting, eat different food a lot of the time to the rest of the family. I also tend to eat the same things for a while - eg this week have had the same lunch since Monday.

oh Dozy unlike you I saw I had 3 calories left and had a crunchie

I have a recipe for Brocolli and cauliflower soup, I will try to dig it out and post it if anyone is interested - Its nicer then it sounds and has no fat or many calories as it is almost pure veg, tis very filling as well - Great for lunches.

so what happens when we have calories left?! Can you carry over like WW?

Word of warning, just checking my foodfocus for today, and I had added porridge into my favourite foods on day 1. Have been using this everyday but I eat 50g of porridge, not 28g. Not a blip on the system, but it saves it into favourite food at "THEIR" portion size. If you eat more or less, you need to amend!!!

Does that make sense??!

Hi everyone - I am joining this too I have also recommended this website to my sister and a friend I love the way you can see exactly how many calories you have left each day etc.

I have calories left over from each day since Monday - does anyone know if, like at WW, you can average it out over the week..so, for example, if I want some wine at the weekend and go over my calories that day, is that ok??

Right, deep breath and add myself to the list...

Morning all,

Today is my weigh day - I've lost 1lb since last Friday. Yay!

So I'm now bang on 13stone and would love to be 10st by September.

dozy - Food Focus have never asked me for a subscription fee, so hopefully we won't have to start paying anytime soon.

I've subscribed to 2 other sites in the past. www.weightlossresources.co.uk and Nutracheck. If I'm honest they were both much more user friendly than Food Focus, but they weren't free so I guess you get what you pay for!

I don't think Food Focus automatically carries your calories over day by day, it just resets your target for the day. I guess it's up to individual to take account of any left over calories and 'spend' them as you want over the week or whatever.

TheButterflyEffect - did you use up your 500 cals? I'd have been straight on the baileys if I'd had that much left!

PinkChick · 09/01/2009 09:48

weight watchers online is having a free 2 wk trial at min!...so reg, get their recipes etc, then de register in 2 weeks

HSMM · 09/01/2009 10:10

11st9 - 9st9 by Summer. Didn't lose any weight this week, so I'm off for a cake!

Pinkjenny · 09/01/2009 11:34

I need to get something for lunch from Asda at lunchtime (obviously). Does anyone have any fabulous ideas??

Dozymare · 09/01/2009 16:52

hey all - how are we all doing today? I went for a 40 minute run - I nearly collapsed..my fitness levels are absolutely rubbish. That'll teach me to studff my face when pregnant!!! Have been super good today as want wine tonight

Packet Hula Hoops
Fresh Pineapple (obviously to counteract the crisps!)
2 apples
2 toast with butter and marmite.

Dinner is prawns and salad, tiny bit of couscous

WINE

Did anyone get the WW recipes? Care to share

welcome jenniebee how are you doing today?

I've only just joined so i've had a great day pigging out!!!
Sure i'll not feel as good this time tomorrow!
i love freddos! may have to stock up!

Dozymare · 09/01/2009 21:31

That is what I did last Sunday...have to admit not been to bad this week, I REALLY like following this and tracking as my problem is portion control Actually don't feel as if I am depriving myself as have had wine and choc this week, just not as much as normal!!!! Getting back into excercise has been v.v.hard though...not enjoying as my fitness levels are so shite (basically 0 due to being pregnant since Feb last year and now a 10 week old)

OP posts:
JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 09/01/2009 22:20

I know how you feel dozymare My fitness levels are pants too! I have a 6 month DS and a 2.4 DS, so getting out of the house to do gym/run etc is a nightmare, and to top it all off DS1 will not go in the pushchair, so any walk I used to do I;d 'power walk' it, now I go at snails pace and inspect every drain, every leaf, stop to wave at every bus/lorry/van AAARRRGGGHHH
