A 6 month old and a 3 year old here, pushing a pram over frozen mud up tracks is good exercise.

Dozymare · 10/01/2009 13:04

Tomato based, not cream or coconut and plain rice and cucumber raita thing should be OK

youcantlabelme · 10/01/2009 13:45

Had a look at the site and was curious to know what my BMI was and was shocked to note it was well over the recommended.

needless to say I have also joined today- so basically you just put down all you eat and it lets you know how many calories you have left for the day etc..is that right.

It looks like, sometimes in the past I have eaten my whole days calories by lunchtime- my god- I will have to be vvv strict with myself.

as i do have certain issues with food and am the worlds worst comfort eater, hope i am able to be supported to get through this and achieve my goals.

god i sound so needy..

for some raeson, feel a little panicked at the thought of trying to eat sensibly? is that normal?

evening all - welcome to the newbies

Ladybuzz Well done you on 4lbs this week, I am haivng my official weigh in tomorrow morning so will let you know! I reckon I will be 3-4 lbs this week as well, which is great.........I haven't really felt hungry either which is a good thing, and the only bad things I have eaten are 2 freddo's, a couple of spoonfuls of sugar in coffee and roast duck today (but no skin or fat and a very small portion) Plus have gone for 4 runs so am quite hopeful.

Riven when I cook food for the family, I look at the weight of the meat and painstakingly add in by hand all the ingredients. i then work out how much I am going to eat (ie 1/4 then work out from there)

Gosh, does that make sense or am I speaking rubbish

Evening all. It's my official weigh in tommorrow too, so fingers crossed. I have had calories left over every day... I love the fact that if I seem to be creeping up I do some exercise and I;m back on track, so it encourages me do do something, even if it is getting my arse off the sofa and running about playing silly buggers with DS1.

Riven I would add all the ingredients individually, using the 'create meals' icon and then save it in my favorites so I only need to do it once. Pain I know, but hey ho!

bettysboobs · 11/01/2009 23:20

I've just joined today! Am liking the look of it all and how it tracks everything for you.

However, I've been for a 39min run today and it says I've burnt 1059cals - that seems a HUGE amount??!!

Especially as other people are only getting 75cals for dancing.

Does that sound right to other people?

I was running at 10.5 min miles so i put in 10.9 I think (that was closest option)

mamalovesmojitos · 12/01/2009 09:25

hi all! can i ask a question? how many calories are you all allowed a day? i am allowed 1040 which seems very small....

will that amount decrease as i lose weight, increase or stay the same? i'm confused .

JODIEhadtoomanymincepies · 12/01/2009 09:32

I'm allowed 1887, and my BMI is nearly 29 point something. Your amount does seem small. Not too sure about that one!

I;ve lost 3lbs this week! yeah, hopefully I can keep it up. Was going to go to he gm this morning, but here was a huge accident on the road and it took my 50 mins to get home after dropping DS's off ay nursery, so needed to get back. I swear the powers that be are against me going! Oh well, I;ll do the Wii Fit tonight!
