I am starting tomorrow - am currently munching my way through all the cr*p in the house as anything that is left at bedtime tonight is going in the bin!!

I am going to weigh myself on Sunday nights and am ashamed to admit my starting weight is 15st 9lbs .

My target weight is 12st so only 3 1/2 stone to lose........tis going to be long-haul I feel.

We'd all be alright if M'netting was on the list

juanitad · 14/01/2009 15:40

Have just been looking at exercise on foodfocus - there are some strange ones, farming, plumbing, car repair..............but no MNing! Shame, we'd all weigh about 8 stone if it was!

Ceebee74 · 14/01/2009 21:02

Had a good day today - did 40 minutes walking DS1 to nursery and back carrying DS2 in a sling and also did 40 lengths at the pool

May have ruined it slightly but just eating treat sized Twix, Mars Bar and Milky Way but in my defence, according to FF I had the calories to spare!

OP posts:
LadyBuzz · 15/01/2009 07:59

Well done ceebee at bleast they were treat sized and yo did count them!
Well my walking resolve is shattered for another boring housebound week. I'm going mad stuck at home and so is DS1! Damn chickenpox!!!
Never mind I am still eating well and must make more of an effort to get on the wii!

Dozymare · 15/01/2009 10:09

morning all - I had a DREADFUL day yesterday, had friends over for lunch and ended up eating the following:

breakfast NOTHING
Lunch Mushroom and goats cheese frittata with caesar salad followed by a choc mousse THEN ate 10, yes 10 M+S chocs that when I tracked were 649 cals they were only little as well....

Dinner was fruity cous cous and some cheese and baguette....

Also did "FAT ATTACK" dvd - like it, but house not big enough for the big combat moves.....also, despite knowing combat moves fairly well, I got in a bit of a pickle trying to copy as I am not that co-ordinated and struggled without a teacher in front of me to copy!!!

back on track today though due to 300 cals over yesterday (although I did "save" some cals monday and tuesday so maybe be ok)

toddler group calls!!!

Ceebee74 · 15/01/2009 11:11

Dozy you know one bad day is not the end of the world - just eat a little less for the rest of the week (but I bet those chocs tasted good!!)

Glad you liked the 'Fat Attack' DVD - lol at the combat moves - I kept kicking the travel cot we have set up to keep DS2 safe from DS1

Ladybuzz can you not go out for a walk (bundle DS2 up really well) and just don't go near anyone else?? I can imagine how frustrating it must be!!

Afternoon everyone. Glad you like the DVD Dozy. Ive just completed it again for the 3rd time this week. I think im addicted to it. I can feel a differnece in my arse already .

Weighed myself yesterday and i had lost 4lb which i couldnt really beleive so i took the scales downstairs and weighed myself again on the kitchen floor and ive only lost 2lb. Oh well 2lb better off my muffin top than on, lol.

Dozymare · 15/01/2009 13:22

well done missnat 2lbs should be your target anyway so that you don't end up failing......I know in the past, when I have lost more than that I get to cocky and end up failing!!!

Being super good today due to my chocfeast yesterday....will do DVD again tonight, and then hopefully go for a run tomorrow if my mum has the kids....

Ceebee74 · 15/01/2009 13:25

Missnat well done!

Can also recommend Rosemary Conley Salsacise - it is not high impact but it is constant low-impact aerobics for 50 minutes and is more like dancing - did it this morning

Nice one Rutho well done you!

ruthosaurus · 15/01/2009 18:24

I really really hope her scales aren't buggered! So I had a cuppa and weighed myself again abd it's truuuuuuuueeeeee!

DH is out at Tesco buying cheescake. Must live on carrots tomorrow and go for a big walk.

coolkat · 15/01/2009 19:33

Going to hoove and walk like mad tomorrow.

Dozymare · 15/01/2009 19:41

nice one rutho now burger bugger orf this thread as you ain't even trying

coolkat don't worry about indian, I had one last week and so long as you are extra good for 1 day, you can get away with it as |I lost 4lbs!

ruthosaurus · 16/01/2009 07:47

Yay! Also, if you pour the oil off the top and have chapatis rather than nan bread it's not too bad an option, loads healthier than chinese takeaway or pizza.

Dozy, I strongly suspect that it was beginner's luck! I need to keep this level of insane walking up - I have been doing about half an hour with the buggy a day up very very steep hills - I sound like an asthmatic by the time I get home!

LadyBuzz · 18/01/2009 09:48

Well just hd my weekly weigh in and ...................I have lost another 2lbs - Yay 1 more pound to my first half stone!!

coolkat · 18/01/2009 11:16

Well done Ladybuzz.

Well this thread is really quiet, does it mean everyone is being bad and not wanting to admit to it like me!!

My hearts not really in it at the minute as feeling a little low but I am reading what you have been up to hoping to inspire me a bit.

Rutho Indian was horrible, wasted a tenner!! Watery and not much taste!

whispywhisp · 18/01/2009 11:29

Hi - can I join this thread please?

Since end of November I've managed to lose just under 2 stones. I've got a lot more to lose yet tho.

Have just had my lunch of a banana, orange and an apple. Yum.

Years ago - just before I met DH I lost 9 stone - all down to healthy eating and exercise. I've done it before, I can do it again.....although being that much older (20yrs older in fact) I'm not finding it so easy.

juanitad · 18/01/2009 16:04

hi whispy whisp. 2 stone since november - wow! How did you manage that? I have a stone and a bit to lose to get back to pre-pg weight. Most of us on this thread are using a site called www.foodfocus.com
It's great and free!
Did my weigh in today, am a pound lighter than last week whic is ok I guess but I would have liked more! I have to admit to having given in to the temptation of a leftover Christmas chocolate orange, I don't suppose that helped!

whispywhisp · 18/01/2009 18:14

Hi juan...I've managed it simply by eating as healthily as possible....cutting out the things I love...bread, cheese, choc, cake, biscuits, white pasta, white rice etc etc and eating more fruit etc. Plus I walk everywhere. I leave the car at home as much as possible. I'll take a look at that website - thanks for that.

Ceebee74 · 18/01/2009 20:56

Welcome Whispywhisp

Had my weekly weigh-in this evening - lost 2lb so 6lb in total (Ladybuzz I seem to be matching you pound for pound at the moment )

Only another 45 pounds to go.......

whispywhisp · 19/01/2009 09:47

Hi and thanks for the welcomes....I've just walked the kids to school - round trip of about 3 miles. Just had my bowl of bran flakes with sliced strawberries on top. Now off out with the dog before I start work!

What do you all do when you get the nibbles late in the evenings?

bubblerock · 19/01/2009 10:23

Hi all, I was on the juicing thread, but am now onto just healthy eating so thought I'd join you lot!

I'm trying to lose weight with DH and we managed 4 days on just juice last week, since then we've had cereal, soup for lunch then healthy dinner eating together as a family (which we don't usually do often ) I've started putting dishes (inc. salad & veg) out on the table instead of plating huge portions up and we all help ourselves. It seems to be working, the kids are trying different foods and we are eating until full instead of clearing our plates! I also put a big jug of iced water out and I'm avoiding alcohol completely - I was getting a little too used to wine every evening!

Exercise wise I'm doing Davina's new DVD which is bloody hard, a 20 min Pilates workout DVD too (I never realised how tough pilates is!!). I can only manage these every other day at the moment because I ache so badly the day after!

We weighed and measured ourselves last night and in 7 days DH lost a stone and I lost 8lb, we lost around 5" in total. I'm not expecting it to drop as much from now on as we're not juicing but it's a good kickstart and we're hopefully in the right frame of mind to keep going. I can't wait to be lean for the summer (if we get one!)

Whispywhisp, in the evening I have a big mug of horlicks lite chocolate - very filling and low fat!

Good luck everyone!!!
