I am starting tomorrow - am currently munching my way through all the cr*p in the house as anything that is left at bedtime tonight is going in the bin!!

I am going to weigh myself on Sunday nights and am ashamed to admit my starting weight is 15st 9lbs .

My target weight is 12st so only 3 1/2 stone to lose........tis going to be long-haul I feel.

have jsut eaten a frozen Freddo (that little cadbury's froggy chocolate) It's lasted forever and was delish!!!!!! 110cals only definately satisfied my chocolate craving

juanitad · 10/01/2009 13:19

mmmm i love freddos! have been really good and not had chocolate all week, am quite tempted to nip to the shop for a freddo though!!

did some shopping at my local tesco yesterday (in Leeds) and Mel B was there signing copies of her fitness dvd. was quite tempted to buy it but the queue was ridiculously long. she is very good looking and very thin when you see her in real life!

Ceebee74 · 10/01/2009 17:36

It is quiet on here today!

Managed to get Claire's DVD from Sainsburys today so I will be doing it on Tuesday morning - am really looking forward to it actually as it looks like a proper workout.

Am struggling with my calories today - have not got many left and we are going out to a party tonight with buffet food - so even if I am really careful what I eat there, I don't think I will have enough calories left for the half bottle of wine I left from last night (we don't expect to be at the party that long as we are taking the DC's with us) - I really want the wine but I need to eat and it would appear to have to be a choice between one or the other.....damn this dieting lark

Well week 1 is over and I have managed to lose 4 pounds, My BMI has come down to 31.7 and I am still Obese but hey ho i'm 4lbs closer to not being - Yay.
Had a blow out last night at my mates but it seems that being good the rest of the week means 1 off day is OK.
How did you fare last night Ceebs?

Ceebee74 · 11/01/2009 16:13

Just a quickie as loads to do - the buffet last night was a very healthy one as it turned out. Just new potatoes, slices of meat and salad with fruit salad to follow - so I ended up having some wine as well

Ladybuzz - great news losing 4 pounds

Just a reminder that it is weigh-in today ladies.... I will post my weight loss (hopefully) later after I have weighed myself.

2lb lost this week, yay! Gave in to my chocolate craving today, had 3 of those seashell things, yummy! Don't suppose it'll do much harm as I've been quite good all week. How's everyone else done?

Dozymare · 11/01/2009 18:54

evening all - well done to lady buzz and juanitad on your wwight loss. Mine is tomorrow morning but reckon I am 3-4lbs lighter. Also went for another run today, definately getting better but still so,so unfit. However, had roast duck for our sunday lunch so not so good.

For those on foodfocus - are you finding it quite easy? I am and that worries me!!

LackaDAISYcal · 11/01/2009 18:54

Inspite of my appalling eating habits last week, I managed to lose 1lb!!

It's given me a bit on ooomph to try harder next week.

Off to update the website.

Ceebee74 · 11/01/2009 19:57

Weighed myself - lost 4lb - woohoo!

Went to the gym this morning and so I have still got enough calories left to have half of one of those big tubes of smarties tonight

Dozy yes I am finding it very easy with that website - I can't believe how many calories I have left each day

Well done everyone else - lets keep it up!!

Hi all,

Just though - I must buy some scales...

I feel a bit healthier this week but I'm not sure if it's all in the mind cos of the new jeans.

I may pop into the chemist's and hop on their scales tomorrow!

Off to do food focus for the weekend.

Dozymare · 12/01/2009 13:30

hello everyone - I have lsot 4lbs as well AND I don't feel as if I have deprived myself either, as have had wine, chocolate and Roast duck! I now know (thanks to foodfocus) that my problem is definately portion size......

ceebee we both weigh the same, and have lost the same - still got a long way to go, but let's keep each other on track!!!!

today, I have had porridge, miso soup and 2 toast with butter and marmite. No idea what for dinner, need to go to the shops!!

Had choc pinkglow and obs round this morning, and didn't eat cake t'was my favourite as well am very happy about that!

LadyBuzz · 12/01/2009 13:52

Yay Dozy well done you.
I'm like you I don't feel as though I have missed out at all!
Well done on the cake BTW

ruthosaurus · 12/01/2009 16:23

Still not weighed myself - getting scared to now in case I have lost nothing or gained weight...

Well done, Dozy!

Ceebee74 · 12/01/2009 16:47

Dozy well done you I will need to be kept on track at some point in the future - my willpower is bound to disappear (I think it will be when I hit 14 stone as that was the weight I was before I got pg and it would be tempting to stop at that....but I need to shift another 2 stone after that!)

Ceebee74 · 13/01/2009 10:08

Have just done Claire from Steps DVD - twas really good and I would def recommend it. I actually feel I have done a proper workout (plus there are half-naked men it in at one point which is always a bonus ).

missnatalie · 13/01/2009 11:16

Hi everyone

Ceebee the DVD is fab istn it and your right, the half naked soilders make it all that bit easier . I worked out to the DVD 4 x last week and am aiming to do it again this week. Really need to get my arse in gear today. Im still sat here in my PJs

Dozymare · 13/01/2009 11:48

right, am going to get this DVD after school!! What is it called? Will I be able to do it on wooden floors without a gym mat? Was planning on running tomorrow, friday and Sunday as didn't get out yesterday due to our MN meet-up but reckon i could do this in the evenings before DH get's home. Does it have a lot of variety??? different levels?? What is it called???!

Ceebee74 · 13/01/2009 11:52

It is called '5-step fat attack' with Claire Richards (blond woman in a green swimming costume with 2 'fat' photos of her aswell on the front).

I have wooden floors and it was fine - but I realised I did need a mat for the toning stuff as it was hurting my knees.

There aren't different levels but you can work as hard as you want (I didn't do all the jumping/bouncing as still taking it easy). There is a warm-up section, then a 20-minute aerobics section where you learn a routine, and then a 20-minute (ish) combat section - again building up into a routine - and then some toning exercises and cool down.

Plus the half-naked soldiers

mum2becks · 13/01/2009 17:06

Sorry for delay in my update, not been well for last few days caught the nasty cold/flu that DH and DD have had!! But at least it meant I havent felt like eating much

I lost 3lb last week and now i'm starting to feel better am determined to start exercise this week, so I have just ordered the Claire Richards DVD from amazon as you all find it so good and have actually got the Wii Fit out of the box

Having chicken and roasted veg for tea today, and not had any snacks either so hope this willpower continues!!!!!

juanitad · 13/01/2009 17:26

ooh, very tempted to get the Claire DVD. Is it all Steps music though? That could get a bit annoying methinks. Still, if it's a good workout, could be worth it. I got my dance mat out of the loft today and managed to do about 45 mins, it was great! I was knackered and v sweaty by the end, so I must have burned a good few calories!!

Oh dear, baby awake..........gotta go.

Ceebee74 · 13/01/2009 19:43

Dozy I have found the answer to the question about whether you can 'carry forwrd' unused calories - the answer is yes There was a question in Closer mag today about someone who was doing a calorie-controlled diet and wondered if they could save calories through the week to use for a Sunday roast and the answer was yes - which is good cos I always use more calories at the weekend (something to do with the wine I think ).

ceebee excellent news

vbab78 · 13/01/2009 22:37

Can I join? Also have no scales but will weigh in when at mum's tomorrow. Currently go from not eating hardly anything to a lot of c**p. Need to do some form of exercise as believe housework and chasing after DS dont count.
Anyone live near Rotherham who fancies doing some form of exercise together? I bought a skipping rope last week and still not got it out of the box or attempted sit ups or going swimming .

LadyBuzz · 14/01/2009 09:22

Hi vbab Childcare and housework do count it says so on Food focus si I def believe it

ruthosaurus · 14/01/2009 09:43

It's true - pushing a stroller (I love that word! Who has time to stroll?) burns quite a few calories and is on the list.

I'm trying to look up hoovering and laundry on it but my computer is being stupid.
