....not necessarily the best kick-start to losing weight.
My Mum has just announced to my family that since I have put on weight, I am looking increasingly like my 20st rugby playing uncle. So, time to put away the pringles I fear! Anyone want to join me (after new year)

How's everyone getting on? I've been avoiding popping in for a while because I've somewhat slipped off the rails a tad diet-wise...never really got on track after being ill. I lost the 10lb in a week when I was ill, put 6lb back on, but haven't been good about trying to keep it at that, so figured if I post back here it will get me back on track. Anyone else find it hard in half term when the dcs are around (if your dcs are at school) - more yummy food around, meals out etc?
Lilo, how are you doing? KWYM re exercise, hard to get out in the cold.

hi madhairday. I haven't improved on the exercise front and have had another bad week with several meals out (unavoidable, honest!)
and I agree with you, school holidays are a nightmare, tho have miraculously lost the 1/2 lb I put on last week.
I'm 4lb lighter than when I started in January, which is better than nothing but hoped to be well on my way to losing a stone by now. Does anyone else fancy starting anew after half-term?
If so, do we stick with this thread or start another one?

Hello - I have been stuffing my face for the last week! Realised I couldn't do this on my own so have decided to go to WW, so eat everything as though it was my last meal! The result was I've managed 2lb loss since this thread started, but hoping that the ritual humilation on a group weigh in may shame me to better results.

So I agree - new term new start. Maybe a new thread would kick us all into some good habits!

P.S was my first ever group fat fighters type thing - they are so grim! The best bit was when some 'youths' shouted - you fat b*tds through the door!
