xposts with mixedmama earlier 10:01, and you're right, about being in the right frame of mind to take up a new exercise regime. Gyms are too expensive to not want to go to them in the first place. But it may be inspiring once you get there - just don't get taken in by the sales patter, and see if really is for you.
Hello CatchaChristmasStar! Don't be so down on yourself about not losing weight earlier - you've had other priorities, and now you're making mental space for yourself also. Good for you! That frumpy feeling WILL go, but it's worth thinking about what you want to replace it with. Not having dieted before stands you in good stead in many ways, as your body should have a healthy response to you changing your eating habits. Just keep in mind that you?re changing the way you think about how you nourish yourself, rather than depriving yourself of things you like to taste. Your tastebuds will change also, so that you?ll enjoy foods that taste healthy for you. It may be worth getting a few books on nutrition and diet out of the library.
I'm in the same boat as you with strict budgeting. I used to buy everything organic with veg and meat box, but now reserve that for a small amount of chicken, eggs and milk. I'm not buying treats like biscuits etc... so that saves a few pounds. I was going to do the CSIRO low GI diet, but after looking through the shopping lists and recipes, i remember why i stopped last time. It was delicious and it worked but it was very expensive!
Wintersun?s Rosemary Conley kickstart diet doesn?t look too expensive so I?ll cost that and not worry about the first 14 days. During that fortnight, I?ll work out where I want to go from there. I?ll definitely take up mixedmama?s suggestion of low-fat for my everyday items.
I?ve gone on a bit? ok concise mode
Hello countessofmontecristo. No more baggy tops! Hello Tessieb. Friday!
Summerfruit, it?s time for the pedometers!
Hi, whyme2. Fantastic job already! 5 miles adds up to some great pins there.
Mixedmama, thanks for the good luck vibes!
Ambi, with 6 months, that leaves you around 26 weeks to lose 36lbs. So a bit more than a lb a week. Completely doable. Have you had a look at the food focus site for calculations?
Have a brilliant night tonight all!
