what are you having?

fedda · 02/12/2008 19:57

I'm full of crossonants, vanilla lattes and other noughty things. I lost my plot completely. Rescue is so much needed!

Fimbles5 · 02/12/2008 21:29

Hi everyone - Glad to see you have both kept the thread running during my absence. I have had a total nightmare, hence haven't posted for a while. Problems with computer connection and then once again health problems. But thats over now and I am back on track. As per doctors orders I have joined the local gym, have cut out almost completely bread, and now drink hot water instead of tea - so all in all healthier eating but no change on scales I'm afraid. How are you all doing in the run up to Christmas. There is just so much tempting food everywhere, how do you resist?

OP posts:
fedda · 02/12/2008 21:50

That's the point, I don't resist and my scales show the difference - I put on 4 kg since Summer!

Fimbles5 · 03/12/2008 07:26

Oh Fedda I feel for you, its so depressing isn't it??? Sending big hugs your way.

OP posts:
fedda · 03/12/2008 22:48

Thank you, Fimbles. I wish I had more sence. I've lost it on the way some time ago. How are you?

fedda · 08/12/2008 23:57

Where is everybody?

Fimbles5 · 09/12/2008 21:48

Still here Fedda, but I'm afraid I have nothing positive to post. Although I have kept up my gym regime hence exercising more, my unhealthy eating habits have come back with a vengeance (Sp?), I'm afraid I am unable to resist the temptation of all the Christmas treats and its not even Christmas yet. I am trying to remain positive and think that if I am not too bad up until Christmas, I will try not to think about it over the Christmas period and get back on track in the new year, problem is I am not really being good either, so come new year, I will once again look like a blob!!! How are you doing. Any positive vibes???

OP posts:
fedda · 09/12/2008 23:00

They are long gone and no sign of them returning! I need to think harder! Let's think together, Fimbles.

kidsrus · 10/12/2008 00:28

Fimbles5 · 10/12/2008 07:23

Well done kidsrus - at last someone has lifted the thread. You sound really positive, please send the vibes to Fedda and I. I think we are both struggling a little (wouldn't you say Fedda?). How are you today Fedda, shall we try really hard to avoid the bad stuff? I have already eaten two slices of toast with butter - not a good start I am afraid but I will try to be better from here on in

OP posts:
fedda · 10/12/2008 11:14

Hi Fimbles and Kidrus, I had haselnut latter with natural bar in a coffee shop but I've got bean soup for my lunch and fishy dish for my dinner so may be not too bad. My scales are in their usual crazy mood so they showede that I lost 2 kg (well, I din't try it again as I normally would have done because I thought soooooooo happy although I know it's definately not a correct reading as my trousers feel tighter but still, it's nice to be fooled sometimes.

fedda · 19/12/2008 23:09

Are you all set for Christmas? I'm still not ready yet.

Fimbles5 · 21/12/2008 16:41

No Fedda, hence why I haven't posted for a while. I am usually so organised and have done all the shopping and have it wrapped by end of November. This year it is a different story, I just seem so disorganised and seem to be rushing about everywhere. I'm really nervous about eating all the Christmassy food too, as I know I will not be able to resist. How are you doing?

OP posts:
fedda · 21/12/2008 19:15

Today I've finally finished getting all the presents (at last!). I have some Christmas Cards in my handbag - each time forgetting to post them! I'll do the food shop soon, luckily I don't like Christmas cake or pudding but I love all the rest. Oh, well, it's Christmas.

kidsrus · 21/12/2008 22:10

Merry christmas to you both.
Im glad you are organised i need to try and catch up been too busy partying and working.
now kids are off school i will have to make time to catch up and get prepared.
Guess what ive done? ive pre-booked a slot for shopping delivery but not had time to order what i really need and will have to stay in for a few items i dont really need! lol
mil will have to look after kids while i do last minute shopping as i haven't really got it all yet.
My weight will have to wait to next year now as i am going to enjoy myself and we can all start in earnest again in jan.
what do you say fancy joining me and having a great christmas and merry new year!

fedda · 22/12/2008 12:23

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year, Fimbles, kidrus and everyone on this thread (still my favourite). I hope you will have everything you wish for

starbear · 29/12/2008 14:06

Wow you girls still going. I'm hanging my head in shame. if I stayed with you lot I would be a but to my normal watch by now.
Can I jump back in?

Fimbles5 · 30/12/2008 15:19

Yes Starbear, please come back!! We are so proud that our thread has been going so long. We have all had our ups and downs, and personally I still haven't lost the weight I would like to lose, however, this is still my favourite thread as the support on here is fantastic. Thankyou everyone for your Christmas wishes and sending love and every happiness to you all for the new year. X

starbear · 30/12/2008 16:13

Thank you I was so impressed I didn't even check my post. I meant 'weight' not watch. I'm going to start 2nd January because I need to get my act together. I need new fitness clothes, grown out of the others and a fab plan. I'm might work on it like a fly thread e.g clean bathroom, do sit-up's make pack lunch for work. That might keep me on track What do you think?

Fimbles5 · 30/12/2008 17:20

Go for it!!! I plan to start again 2nd January so will be checking in here regularly. I joined the gym at the end of November and have been so good at getting the exercise in, if only I could be as good with my eating habits. When I started the gym instructor told be to try to only eat bread once a day, replace snacks with fruit, drink two cups of hot water a day, and cut out all juice drinks. I managed to do this for two weeks and lost 6lbs only problem was I didn't stick at it and have now piled it all back on. Anyway, good luck we can do it again together if you like?!?

OP posts:
starbear · 30/12/2008 17:30

yes please Fimble5

Fimbles5 · 30/12/2008 19:03

Ok see you here on 2nd January - in the meantime eat, drink and be merry (but don't tell anybody I said that!!) Enjoy your new year celebrations. X

OP posts:
fedda · 30/12/2008 22:27

Starbear, I wrote and clicked Send but something happened to my post as I can see. So sorry for that - i just wrote that you are a STAR of this thread, a real inspiration who brought us together and I'm sure that everyone will ne delighted to see you back on this thread. I'm joining you on 2-nd of January but if I'm not strong enough to suddenly stop overeating on that day I'll try to gradually reduce the amount I'm having now and to reintroduce sensible eating as soon as I can. Happy and successful New year to everyone. good luck with the new, fresh start.

Fimbles5 · 01/01/2009 11:15

Happy New Year Everyone!! - Enjoy finishing off the last of the chocolate today, and I will see you all here first thing tomorrow. This time we will achieve our goals. X
