I wish I haven't tasted it. It's a no no for me really but I just wanted to try and I couldn't stop enjoying the taste!

Fimbles5 · 16/10/2008 21:16

How is every one doing??? Any success stories this week or anybody about just to give me a kick up the .... for what I have eaten this week

OP posts:
fedda · 16/10/2008 21:26

I can give you a cick if you give me one, Fimbles I started to have a lot of grapes now to make sure I don't rich for more snacks. I have also tiny sweet tomatoes, red and yellow peppers and I drink hot water instead of tea and cofee after dinner. My tummy is now called belly so I need to get back to normal before people start asking when I'm due.

Fimbles5 · 17/10/2008 07:06

Oh Bless you Fedda - I know that feeling. I'm beginning to wonder whether I have any toes, as I can't see them beyond my belly We must get ourselves back on track, otherwise by Christmas we will be consoling each other. I have printed a new WW tracker and put aside all that I can eat today (nothing else!!), once the food has gone that is it, so I plan to space it out throughout the day instead of eating it all at lunch. I vow to have a good weekend and not drink too much wine. And this time I mean it! [hmm}

Good luck, Fimbles. You can do it!

Fimbles5 · 19/10/2008 19:25

Well now on the third day of my new diet (I will be slim for Christmas), and so far, dare I say it, it seems to be going well. I have managed to get through the weekend and even did a bit of exercise. Feel better already (apart from nursing the third cold this month) and hoping that this positive attitude to food will continue. How is everyone else doing??

OP posts:
fedda · 20/10/2008 17:42

Good luck, Fimbles. I hope you feel better soon. I'm trying to get back to normal as well.

kidsrus · 22/10/2008 00:44

(((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) fimbles its horrible when you have a cold as all you want is comfort food.
well i had a great night out on fri with the girls and had half a bottle of rose with a set menu in our local chinese (havent done that in ages)
now settled back this week to the fruit and veg along with a few pasta meals.
i have avoided the scales hoping i will lose without all the checking.
I want to be a loser!
i have played badminton twice this month as well as the regular school walks.
off to lego land next week so hoping the exercise and fun will make a few pounds fall off (heres hoping)
catch up again soon.
keep losing you loosers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kidsrus · 02/11/2008 22:04

kidsrus · 08/11/2008 21:33

ok i take it you have given up!

fedda · 09/11/2008 19:22

Sorry, kidrus, I had problems with my connection. Still here, no news I'm afraid. How are you?

Fimbles5 · 12/11/2008 08:12

Kidsrus - I'm still here too. I have been watching the thread, but had thought you had all up and left I thought I was all alone with noone to talk too. Glad to see you have lifted this thread to the top once again.

OP posts:
fedda · 12/11/2008 11:27

If you feel lonely, you can always post your thoughts on the thread, Fimbles. I'm sure there are many people who are looking at this thread and thinking the same. It's easy to loose some pounds but it's easier to gain, once you start gaining the guilt comes and you don't want to write pessimistic messages but if that's how you feel there is no reason you can't be sad sometimes. We are here to support each other. We'll get there. I went to the shop and bought some vegies to keep me going - instead of toasts with butter I was having later with my cups of tea. Take care x

Fimbles5 · 12/11/2008 21:33

Hi Fedda - Well here goes, my pessimistic message!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!! Christmas is fast approaching and I know I have to concentrate on eating healthy, so why oh why am I eating anything and everything I can lay my hands on. I joined the gym recently but ruin all my hard work when I get home on eating all the bad stuff so what is the point in going in the first place. I am weighing myself two to three times a day only to find I am gaining more and more. How do I get my mind into positive eating habits, I seem to have forgotten

OP posts:
fedda · 12/11/2008 22:25

Fimbles, it is hard. I'm staggling also and I put on 3 kg since Summer! I do the same as you - I just feel like having the things I was denying myself - butter, cream, crisps. Yesterday I watched You are what you eat. I looked at people who are much fatter then me and i just thought the way I'm going I might reach there level. I didn't like that thought so today I went to the shop amd bought avocado, asparagus, carrots, coriander and ready made tomato and basil soup from the Covent Garden range and I had soup with asparagus I added to - I slightly cooked it and then mixed with the soup and put 2 handfulls of chopped coriander when the soup was ready. I didn't blend it so that I could feel the textire and I didn't have any bread with it. I felt still hungry so I had the avocado on its own nicely cut. That was my lunch. For dinner I had beef mince smaller then usual portion cooked with 2 grated carrots and an onion, with mush and baked beans followed by some grapes. I have to tell you that when I was going home, before dinner, I really fell like coffee shop but I just didn't let it happen. The woman who was fighting with her weight on You are what you eat programme treated herself to a nice facial, haircut and clothes. It's a good idea to have a treat like that and not to go for treating ourselves with the food which will make us feeling unhappy several minutes later. We can do it, Fimbles. There is still time before Christmas.

Fimbles5 · 13/11/2008 08:07

Thanks Fedda - I know all what you are saying is right, I am just finding it so hard to avoid all the things that make me feel so bad. Congratulations on how well you did yesterday, I plan to learn from this and try to be good today. I read different threads on this site ranging from detox plans to diet plans and I keep thinking these cannot be good for you, thats why I like this thread because rather than diet all we want to do is avoid the fatty stuff and eat healthily. I'm sure together with that and my new gym regime I must lose some weight. Good Luck today and heres to positive thoughts. X

Thank you, Fimbles. X

kidsrus · 17/11/2008 22:44

ahhhhhhhhhhhh relief!!!!!!!!!!!!! thought i was on my own it 's not the same without you both. fedda your post gave me an idea lets play a game of healthy foods we can eat. then perhaps we might forgot the things we avoid by repeating all the good ones.
shall i start?

I went to the shop and bought................

some fruit tea

fedda · 18/11/2008 21:50

I went to the shop and i bought some blueberries and blackberries. I had the whole yellow pepper for my breakfast and a bowl of soup for my lunch. White bread toasts as well (oh, I forgot, I dhouldn't mention the other stuff!) Okay, who is next? Remember, only healthy things and don't do what I was doing - having toasts (not again!)

fedda · 18/11/2008 22:55

kidrus, thank you so much for your posting. Thanks to you I had two kiwis, not what I was about to have (ice-cream ).

kidsrus · 22/11/2008 18:21

I went to the shop and bought....
a dragon fruit
2 kiwis
blueberrys and
some fruit tea.

shopping/spirit (if you do it that is)

fedda · 22/11/2008 22:53

No, I'm not well. I have a sore throat and I feel tired. My diet is no good at the moment although I did have a lot of grapes and blueberries. I feel I eat for comfort, not because I feel hungry

kidsrus · 24/11/2008 00:16

fedda · 24/11/2008 22:50

Thank you kidrus/ poor you. As for the ideas, may be Charity shops? they might have the old type of stuff which would be okay. Sorry, I don't dress up, I'm too boring! Diet not good - Chicken Kiev (1,5 of them!) and white bread and butter for dinner, tea with 2 sugars and chocolate. Must be better tomorrow (so I keep saying......)
