Other thread too big.

Right, having lost not one single ounce over the last 4 weeks due to over-consumption of alcohol, I am starting again. I promised you all a new thread, so here it is.

Remeber:

Exercise EVERY DAY. walking, cycling, running, swimming - whatever - JUST MOVE YOUR HARRIS!

MEASUREMENTS can say more than weight. I have lost nothing, but mu clothes are actually looser due to toning up.

Are we up for another challenge for September?

I am giving up booze until the last weekend of September as I drank too much in July and August - so I am going to go for the 7lbs in a month again.

Well done to those who have managed to lose a bit last month!

Don't forget Stormy that if you put it on quickly, you can lose it quickly.
Stick to your diet/exercise plan this week and you'll lose it all

Welcome back Stormy

Interesting about the 7lb gain. I am off myself on thursday, although just for 4 days. But we are on half-board so not much control over food and I just know it will be a big carb/fat fest, waiters coming round with 2nd helpings etc etc. I am going to need a lot of willpower.

Anyway, vegetable and cashew tir-fry tonight, it was delicious!

Jahan · 10/09/2008 10:18

Have a good holiday Sputnik

I've been doing ok so far but am going out for a meal tonight. I'm intending to be extra good all day and have some fruit before I leave so I'm not starving.

My friend was telling me about her very slim friend who would come over for a take away evening, announce that she was starving and could she have some fruit as she couldn't wait for the food, and when the food arrived would claim that she was so full after the fruit that she didn't feel like eating anymore. Strange woman but she's kept her figure.

Jahan - sounds like she has a food problem, IMO.

Similar thing happened with us - out with friends/family and one person was late. Rang to tell us she was running late and could we order "something chickeny in a really creamy sauce". When she arrived, all she did was eat a couple mouthfuls, push the rest around her plate, say loudly how lovely the food was, and then when the waiter came to take all the plates she said how filling it was which is why she couldn't finish it. When her plate was gone, she went off to the loo - the first of several trips there.

LisaLessLumpy · 11/09/2008 08:15

I went to pizza express last night and had a sloppy guiseppe and a chocolate fudge cake sundae

Jahan · 11/09/2008 09:48

Sounds lovely, Lisa!
Just get back on track and you'll be fine

I had Thai last night.
I had chicken satay for starters and chicken red curry and rice for main and ate the whole lot. I didn't have dessert but had both the chocs that they give with the bill

I'm going to be extra good today and stick to 1000 cals.

I've had 50g muesli this morning for around 200cals.

Lunch will be beans on toast for around 200cals and a yoghurt for 100cals.

Dinner will be a baked potato, tblsp light creme fraiche and salad or veg for around 250 cals

That leaves me with 250cals for snacks which will be fruit and a couple of ryvitas.
Think that'll do me.

WilfSell · 11/09/2008 09:54

Hey...

I am have been AWOL since signing up with you... But last two days I have been doing my new SchoolRunPLUS regime which involves taking baby with me on walk to school with DS1, then pounding right back across to nursery and back home, the last bits with ipod on and power walking. About 30 mins good aerobic exercise all in and so early in the day I hardly notice.

Hoping I can keep it up. Not going to weigh for a while though (am having menstrual carb addiction week this week)

Well done everyone on this thread - you're all doing very well.

Piffle · 11/09/2008 16:44

I've been AWOL this week must fess up been drinking in solidarity with vasectomised DP
But kept cals down to 1800 so have shed a tiny bit of what I put on last week on my pmt bender
No exercise as have 3 poorly kids and an incapacitated DP
Back to usual Monday but am focussed on not gaining so am watching cals.
But Must Try Harder indeed

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/09/2008 16:51

Well I have Good News and Bad News.

Good News. Went to M&S today and bought a pair of Per Una jeans, size 10. Put them on and did the zip straight up without any bother at all.

Bad News. Standing in front of the full length mirror in the changing room (I avoid this normally because I haven't got a full length mirror at home), I realised where I'm carrying all my fat. It's round my torso, above my waist and under my boobs.

I caught a side profile of myself in one of the angled mirrors, without realising, and was shocked. I look like I'm carrying a baby over my waist band!

Food going well, and managed Monday and Tuesday without any wine, but succumbed last night.

I'm winding myself up to getting back on the scales on Monday, so will have to face up to the residual damage of my holiday then.

Piffle · 11/09/2008 17:51

biwi
I am the same
Am almost size8
But above the belt
7mths pregnant.
I recommend the esbelt slimming top
My Best Friend

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/09/2008 18:48

OOh what's that, Piffle?

I have so many tops that I can't wear at the moment because they just cling to the massive spare tyre I'm carrying around at the moment!

Piffle · 11/09/2008 20:40

seArch eBay for esbelt slimming vest
Got mine from bra lady
Sorty cannot link as am on iPod!!!

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/09/2008 22:13

OMG that looks like a torture item!

And how do you MN on your iPod?!

Piffle · 11/09/2008 22:18

I have an iPod touch which has wireless internet
Great but tedious with tiny typing!
Esbelt very comfy in actual fact.
Trust me I'm not into pain

Jahan · 12/09/2008 08:26

I'm the same too Biwi. I can get into size 10 jeans but the resulting muffin top is too hideous. I am size 14 on top but I'm sure bfing boobs have something to do with that.

I have some control pants from M&S which I wear if going out.

So my good intentions were scuppered when friend arrived yesterday armed with chocolate cake. Lovely friend but am really annoyed today that I ate so much of it.
Why can't I just have one slice? I swear I'm such a glutton when it comes to cake. I could easily eat a whole one.

Anyway, peeved off today and feeling very fat. Weight loss is soooo slow. I am very demotivated today
