well done all you losers!

the less said about my week re eating (lots) and exercising (not) the better.

after all, how can you cycle in the snow? or not eat lots of cheesecake? it's all the weather's fault...

yorkiegirl I have size 16 clothes to give away. but am not very chic at the best of times and my clothes aren't very smart.

bizarre on the dps and dhs - but good in a way that they don't put pressure on you all to be thin. that would be worse.

Loobz · 24/02/2005 12:23

I am so pleased with myself this morning. Dd is off school - she has been unwell for the past two weeks and doc's testing for glanular fever amongst other things. Took her to have bloods taken this morning then went to shops. As a treat I took her to a local cafe for breakfast. She had cooked breakfast - and I had black coffee with skimmed milk I'd had porridge before I went out but I was so pleased at resisting!!!
Coppertop, keep those boots handy and if this new found enthusiasm starts to wane then a kick in this direction will be in order.
Trefusis - I'm glad I'm inspiring someone with this new found attitude. I have a denim skirt in the wardrobe that I have never had on cos it wont fasten and I'm determined that I will get into that skirt by summertime to show off my legs

I don't mean to boast, but what the hell, i'm going to!!!! I've lost 4lbs this week, got my 1 stone award, AND i was slimmer of the week!!!!!! That's not bad going, is it??!! It's really cheered me up and got me more motivated to really stick to the plan.

I am feeling very saintly tonight - have had a really good day. Took Dd for breakfast this morning and I only had a coffee (black with skimmed milk) Was in Mc Donalds in afternoon and only had a diet coke and tonight Dh and Ds's had kebabs and pizza - I made pasta with syn free tomato sauce
My hip has been sore today - get bouts of sciatica and only when I am carrying extra weight - so that's more motivation for me to stick to this this time. Have works night out tomorrow and they are normally quite wild night but will use my syns for that and hopefully get right back on plan on Saturday.
Don't plan to have too much to drink (Dh says he's heard that one before - more than once ) Supposed to be taking Dd shopping on Saturday Hate shopping and that's without a hangover!!!

miam · 25/02/2005 08:14

Loobz, well done. - you are doing great. You are on a roll now! I suffer from sciatica too, and it has definately improved since I lost my weight. Hope you have a great day today (won't be around as at art class).

Beth - WELL DONE YOU!!!! You must be so chuffed and so you should be. There will be no stopping you now!

I'm 9.3 now - 2lbs to my 3stone mark. Really can't wait because it sounds so much. I just can't imagine how I managed to be 4 stone overweight in the first place, and at only 5ft 1 that is seriously obese. Still - will soon be a distant memory. Have a great day everyone!!

Loobz · 25/02/2005 08:30

Thats great Miam - how long has it taken you to lose your weight? I always think that it's a boost when the weight begins to go - seems to give you the incentive to keep going.
I have just had to force myself to eat breakfast this morning. I have been on holiday all week from work but have to go in this morning to go to court and not looking forward to this at all - part of my job that I hate and am a bundle of nerves. Know I'll be fine in there but also know that if I hadn't eaten that I'd have pigged when I come out.Don't want Coppertop's big boot in my direction just yet!
Trying to be as good as I can through the day today so I can have a drink tonight at our night out. Might need one by then

Well I thought I was doing ok - was 3lbs down by Tuesday, but have somehow regained 2 of them by Thursday. And hadn't even eaten much except for fruit and veg in the two days between either. Almost certainly down to 2 days of not going to the gym, and one small glass of wine each evening, so at least I know what I need to do to get back on track, but am not sure that I can face a lifelong sentence of gym every day and no wine - ever.

Don't you find all the stats around depressing? Like "you need to eat 3500 kcalories more than you use to gain 1lb". Rubbish - I even gained once when I did a 48 hour charity fast, and had nothing but zero calorie water. And "you would need to run 30 miles to use enough energy to lose 1lb". Guess I need to invest in a treadmill with a mounting point for a PC so I can run while I work then. And even "the average women should consume 2000 kcals per day". They never tell you what the distribution is around that average do they? That some people can eat 3000 a day, and others can gain on 1000.

LunarSea, you are doing amazingly well, you have lost a fantastic amount of weight. I am no expert in weight-loss but the only thing I wonder is if you are eating enough?

I have had another bad week, I've thought back over the last week and it turns out I have had three indian takeaways, a fish supper and lunch in Costa coffee with a pannini and individual choc cheesecake (which was divine). Add to that the fact that I have realised I have been having double the milk allowance that SW allows it's no wonder.

A new week starts today, so far have been angellic!

sweetheart · 25/02/2005 15:00

Yorkiegirl,

Is it OK if I rejoin. I know I said I wasn't doing ww any more because I was preg but I lost the baby last month so unfortunatly it's back to ww for me.

I can't remember how this works - could you refresh my memory please.
