well done Yorkie.

miam · 23/02/2005 21:22

Brilliant Yorkie!! Had a very good day today - to make up for Pizza Hut (lol Beth, must be the week for it). Bought a lovely skirt today in Tesco - kind of tweedy, shortish skirt. Very trendy (size 10!!!! But Tesco clothes are generously made - oh and a warning is in order. Losing weight can seriously damage your bank balance!). Only problem is dh is giving me a hard time about my new image. Just does not seem to like me wearing nice clothes now - it is getting me down a bit. I have told him that he can't expect me to wear shirts down to my knees like I used to. I never used to wear the kind of clothes I am buying now, because I never could. And it makes me so happy to be able to dress up and look nice. Why can't he be happy for me? I know he is probably feeling threatened, but after 13 years of marriage he should trust me surely.

Evesmama · 23/02/2005 21:30

BethAndHerBrood · 23/02/2005 21:36

C'mon evesmama, you can't wain - it's too quiet on here without you!! You've done too much to stop now, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!!!! I need everyone to stick with it, or i'll falter too!!!

mammya · 23/02/2005 21:37

Well I need a boot this week I got weighed today and put on 2lbs! Arrgh... My excuse is that my father came to visit at the weekend for dd's birthday, bearing many gifts including lots of goodies, lovely French chocolate in particular. I resisted for a bit but really, if it's there I'll eat it!
I am proud to say though, that as soon as he was gone, all the chocolate that was left went in the bin (boohoo...)!
Am determined to do better this coming week!

BethAndHerBrood · 23/02/2005 21:40

I had a small piece of roulade, tasted of mushrooms!!! Not quite as delicious as expected!!!

Stopped me from going back for seconds!!!!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 21:42

where's coppertop, she's got a blimming hefty boot! And here's one from me, ready...

Wallop!!!!!!!!!!!

Evesmama · 23/02/2005 22:01

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 22:54

trust me evesmama, I'm wearing hobnailed boots. And I've packed them with steel. Ready.....

WALLOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There. You should've felt that one and now we can both behave ourselves and get back on track. Come on honey, we can do it together. Remember, wipe your hands of the past and start again today.

Loobz · 23/02/2005 23:14

Started back to new class tonight - and got my hair cut today - really short and I love it - am so motivated. Have put on pound and a half but don't care - this is a new start and I'm going for it! Think all of these virtual kick up the backsides have come my way - lol - and boy was I needing them!
Had planned to start walking again but two things have stopped that - one is the weather - I hate snow and the second one is tendonitis in my achilles tendon - supposed to rest - yeah, ha, ha!Was surprosed though - i got told not to wear my flat boots but to wear something with a small heel to shorten the tendon - only problem there is that I don't have shoes with small heels - only have ones with big heels!!!
Right have rambled enough - going to bed. Great to hear about all of you who are doing well - like the thought of the coat of arms Coppertop - only thing is think the boot might come in my direction rather a lot!!! No of course it wont - motivation and fortitude!!! (Oh I wish I could type properly) Night Night everyone.

Loobz · 23/02/2005 23:16

And that should have read surprised not surprosed - told you I couldn't type!

miam · 24/02/2005 07:46

Brilliant Loobz - you deserve a pat on the back. It is really difficult to find your motivation when things have not being going well. Well done and all the best for your class today.

I am 9.4 today (hooray) and coming up to the 3 stone mark at last! This stone has taken a long time to come off but perseverence is the key. Another stone to go.....

Loobz · 24/02/2005 08:05

Wow - well done Miam - that's what I have to lose - 3 stones. Sounds so much when you know you have to lose it but I'll break it down into chunks - that way it gives me mini targets.
I can't get away with carrying extra weight - I'm too short at 5ft 3ins. Not helped either that all of my kids are bigger than me either

coppertop · 24/02/2005 09:02

I'm sure being ill earlier in the week had something to do with it but after plodding along with losing 1lb a week I've lost 3lbs this week. Yippeee! I'm 1lb away from my first mini-target so I'm even more pleased.
