well done marj thats brillient
well so far, ive stayed the same this week, but i havent 'been to the loo' yet and i always get weighed after that!!, but been a bit bloated n bunge dup, so might have to wait till tomorrow to get done..doesnt help that dd is feeding me iced gems shes just snook from her changing bag

coppertop · 21/02/2005 10:04

Well done, Marj!

It looks like it's my turn to get the virus that my ds'es had last week. I've hardly eaten for the past couple of days so I'm not sure how this is going to affect my total for this week. Presumably if I do lose more than usual it will go back on again once I start feeling able to eat properly again. Bleurgh!

miam · 21/02/2005 13:10

How did you get on Evesmama? Was the trip to the loo worth it?

Loobz, how are you getting on today? I know it is really hard trying to get back onto your plan if you have had a few dodges days (or weeks!). Once you see the results after just a week, that should spur you to keep going. Easy to say, hard to do though - am willing you on!!

Hope you are ok coppertop - not a nice bug to catch. I get weighed tonight, so will see how it has affected my weight... think I have lost though.

kaylasmummy · 21/02/2005 15:04

Have been reading all your messages since week 1 & there are loads of you doing really well!

My daughter was born just before Xmas by cs & I have spent the last 4 weeks trying to get into a routine of trying to lose some weight & fit into anything other than my maternity jeans! (so far it's just not happening!)

Was wondering whether I could tag on (even though I haven't been doing it since week 1) cause think if I have people to talk to then I will be more successful!

Hopefully you can fill me in on what I've missed

Take care x

miam · 21/02/2005 16:57

Hi kaylasmummy - we will be delighted to have you on board! Congratulations on your new arrival too. Everyone here is doing whatever diet they feel comfortable with and we all mail our weight and/or losses (she says hopefully) to Yorkiegirl at [email protected] by Friday tea-time. Yorkie then posts everyones results at some point on Saturday. You will have loads of encouragement on here. Will be nice getting to know you. xx

Loobz · 21/02/2005 18:22

Thanks Miam, haven't been too good today - don't feel too well and have been 'picking'.
Need to go to shops tomorrow and buy fruit to pick on. Usually have plenty fruit at work but forgot to stock up for home with being on holiday this week.
Went out to visit a friend this afternoon and had a 20 minute walk to see her. Really enjoyed that so will hopefully get out to do some more walking tomorrow.
Also getting my hair cut on Wednesday - don't feel good about myself at all just now.
Have also decided to change slimming clubs - will stay with slimming world but going to another class. Have been going to this one mainly to keep my friend company but I don't like the fact that there is no regular consultant and we keep getting someone different every week. I am a creature of habit and need routine.
Actually, feel a bit better now that I have made some decisions!
Of course it goes without saying that I will still be on here for support.
Welcome Kaylasmummy - they are a great bunch of people on here - very supportive!

coppertop · 21/02/2005 19:04

Welcome to MN Mamas, Kaylasmummy. I'm not really following any particular diet. I'm just eating less and exercising more - or at least trying to.

BethAndHerBrood · 21/02/2005 20:07

How's everyone doing this week? Have to admit i'm having a bit of a struggle, seem to be eating the right stuff, but not feeling hopeful! I can feel it in my water!! I could do with a boost - or failing that, a kick up the bum!!!

Evesmama · 22/02/2005 09:11

well miam, my toilet trip didnt prove succesful!! and have stayed the same this week. thinking back, can see why cos i normally go on excersize bike for 15 mins a night and havent been on 'at all'
have been walking, but i always do, so i need that extra bit to get the weight shifted.

how did you do last night???

hi kaylasmummy

miam · 22/02/2005 09:17

Is that an invitation Beth? Where is Evesmama with her size 12s when you need them?

Good for you Loobz - you are definately sounding more positive than before. A bit of pampering is just what you need. I've tried lots of clubs, but this one is the first that has really suited me (Rosemary Conley). If you are not happy with your club, I feel you are just throwing your money down the drain because you will not be getting the motivation you need. I hope the other class will help you more.

I got weighed last night and lost another 2lbs!! Very pleased. Weighed myself this morning (I know I'm norty) and another pound seems to have gone. That just goes to show that if you have a week that your body refuses to budge an inch - mine put on a pound - it WILL lose it eventually. Have a good day everyone. xx

miam · 22/02/2005 09:20

Crossed post Evesmama - I was thinking about you as you can see though . Don't worry about staying the same. I know it is a bit demoralising but it will come off. It doesn't mean that you have not lost weight (which you will have), just that it is not showing on the scales yet. Are you measuring yourself? I put on 1lb last week but still lost cms. As I said, lost 2lb this week and am pleased. Really enjoyed the exercise session last night.

Evesmama · 22/02/2005 09:24

WELL DONE HONEY!!!
your doing so well
am okay about staying the same as it gives dp chance to think he winning
its great that you have found a good club, it helps to have like minded people around you

well have had some alpen this morning with semi and think ill have a jacket spud for lunch with syn free pasta in sauce..and will def stop eating dd's iced gems

miam · 22/02/2005 09:29

Good girl. Does no-one make low-fat/low-cal/low sugar iced gems? That would make you very happy - and your daughter cos it would stop you pinching hers!

Evesmama · 22/02/2005 09:32

well i tend to get the biscuit bit when the 'gem' has fallen/or been bitten off

had a terrible night with dd, had no sleep as yet and shes bouncing all over the place now!!!
i could go and lay naked outside in the snow and still sleep like a log!!!

miam · 22/02/2005 09:38

If you did that Evesmama then YOU would be an ICED GEM!!!

Boom boom!!

Evesmama · 22/02/2005 09:52

wa,wa,waaa!!

have got the munchies quite bad now, think its cos im tired and cold and body needs somethingt o keep me going!!

BethAndHerBrood · 22/02/2005 11:13

Feeling a bit more positive today - my jeans were falling down on the way to school this morning!!!! Normally this would be bad, but it's a sign, isn't it??!! I just stayed the same last week, so would really like to have lost a few pounds this week. If i lose 3.5 pounds i'll have lost a stone!! I think that's a bit ambitous though for this week!!

marj · 22/02/2005 20:30

Welcome kaylasmummy! This thread is so supportive and has really kept me going.
Well done miam, another good week! I have had a few dodgy days but have been good and stuck to my points today so thats something. I definitely dont want to gain this week as I am just at the lost one stone point.

Ok, have survived a house full of sickness. Am ready to be accountable again. I'm changing my class as it's suddenly too difficult to get to. So will be weighed this lunchtime. Fingers crossed, though I don't really deserve a loss. My rear end also needs a virtual kick. My enthusiasm as well as my energy is low. This is my danger time. A running start followed by a stuttering halt. Please kick me!!!!
