And another one - BOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!! Right slap bang into the middle of your diet! Come on girls - think of those jeans falling down!! Think of those slinky wrists!! Think of having lovely pointy elbows!! And less than 20 degrees whilst crossing your legs . Do you need any more reasons to motivate you??

I've got a bit of a cheek saying all this though - we went out to Pizzahut yesterday . Did try to be good but had a little of what I enjoy - yum. And I was thinking about the times that I have 'let it go' over the last year or so and the fact that it has not stopped me losing weight. But only because the majority of the time I am good - the rest of the time I have been very careful. I do think that having little of what you fancy can actually kick-start your system into losing. But the main thing is to get back onto healthy eating. Don't beat yourself up about what you have done in the past as you can't change it. But you can control what you will do today and tomorrow.

Well done marj and Beth - the first stone mark is really exciting and a major milestone. You are doing so so well.

Oh, and forgot to add that I am going to a 70s dinner/dance this weekend (overnight stay in Edinburgh - so excited!). Went trailing round the charity shops yesterday in the hope of finding something 70ish to wear as everyone is dressing up. Spotted a GORGEOUS Principles retro slinky dress but it looked tiny - size 12. Anyway thought I would try it and it fits brilliantly!! Bought a classy leapord print scarf to tie around my kneck, HUGE hope earrings and have teemed it all with a pair of knee-high platforms and blue eyeshadow. Looks fab (in true 70s speak). Can't wait now. For the second half of the evening everyone is putting on their glad-rags. But I am just going to take off all the nonsense accessories and wear the dress with a pair of strappy sandles because it is so gorgeous - and a size 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy.

miam · 23/02/2005 11:46

neck oops!!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 11:47

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that. Now to prepare lunch for the DTs as I have to be at class for 1.15 and it's a mile away. Do you think I might drop an extra pound in the walking if I stride through the snow?

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 11:48

Well done Miam. I wanna wear a slinky dress and be a size 12 again That's it! I'm ready to lose

I have a large boot at the ready if anyone else needs one. All in the name of support of course.

Good luck at the weigh-in, MTMML.

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 11:55

Not another boot! Thanks coppertop

BethAndHerBrood · 23/02/2005 11:56

I have to say that i hadn't really noticed a difference up to this week, but trousers have become a lot looser, and my belly seems a bit smaller!!! It gives you quite a boost when you can see the difference, doesn't it??!!

We should have a coat-of arms: a large boot with crossed scales and the words "Motivation and Fortitude" along the bottom.

BethAndHerBrood · 23/02/2005 12:08

Oh, I can do gritted teeth!!!! Big time!!!

School run now. See ya!

marj · 23/02/2005 16:06

MTMML, you will get that rogue pound off by next week no problem especially if you keep getting booted!!!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/02/2005 16:10

May the booting continue.... ouch, ouch, yelp!!

Thanks for your encouragement. I know where I fell down. Half term. I stopped doing my bi weekly menus. Ah well.
