I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Yes, I am heavier than both of you, but am a 12-14. This is because I am small framed, 5ft 1 and should really be a size 6-8.

LLL - How long are you going on your x trainer for? Size-wise maybe I just have a bigger backside than you lol

Think I have a ped in my wardrobe somewhere

Im stupidly anxious already, I cant go outside a lot of the time How about I give you 10 mins on me cross trainer instead? Or so many steps on a stepper?

Fanella · 28/07/2008 13:02

Oooh Sheik you are fantastically bossy - just what I need.

I do all the walking already - although I used to hate it I forced myself and my stamina has really improved. Getting my ipod was the best thing I did really. Sounds weird but when I'm out with the dog with my music on it feels like real 'me time'. I suppose all that will change in winter though.

I was 15'2 on new years day. I'm now 12'10.

I'd be even less if there were no such thing as biscuits. Had salad with crackers followed by water melon for lunch. Lots of water too.

SheikYerbouti · 28/07/2008 13:05

10 mins on cross trainer is OK.

10 mins of any exercise - I suggested walking because it's fee, and easy to fit into a day, but if you prefer to do something else, than that's OK

I just want you to move for 10 mins.

Righto, I'll try walking when Im feeling brave lol I have to take ds to get weighed tomorrow and that takes half hour to walk there so thats good.

Maybe some evening walking would be poss if I tell myself its me time, whatever that is

dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:08

I meant dd, not that it makes a diff, theyre both coming lol

SheikYerbouti · 28/07/2008 13:09

OP posts:
dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:11

That looks nifty

dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:17

Stupid question an I'll prob just confuse but here goes - those of you thatve had children - have you managed to be your target size before, since having them?

I mean I dont think my stomach is surgery-requiring slack and Im doing sit ups most mornings so hopefully that should help but my prob is the part of me that says ''dont even bother trying to get to size 10 cos you'll never make it now youve had kids'' iyswim.

God I bring everything down dont I lol

Poppycake · 28/07/2008 13:23

I did after the first, but the second seems to be the killer (and not just re jelly belly!!)

dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:27

So maybe I need to start saving then lol

Jahan · 28/07/2008 13:28

I'm glad I joined this thread!
Bossy is just what I need

Hi Lisa . I am 4lbs heavier because I ate loads. I wish it was just water but alas, its lots of fat, carbs and sugar
That'll teach me for staying away from the weight loss threads!

I am 11st 4lb, 5"2 and can wear size 12 trousers and size 14 tops (big bfing boobs)
I should be 8-10.

I know women who have gone back to their original size. I think we all can if thats what we want.

Slouchy · 28/07/2008 13:31

Right, am here!

have eaten small bowl crunchy nut c's and couple of spoonfuls greek yog for break. ust had lunch - salad veg, bit of cheese, 1/2 bagel (dd2 had other half); will have apple in min. Drinking plenty.

Have also walked with kids into town and done library etc. 15 min walk but we live at the top of a GiMungous hill (dd1's new word) so will have burned a bit off and more than ticks the box for daily bouti sheiking.

(All good cos have put ON weight since friday; was 11st2 this morning!)

Poppycake · 28/07/2008 13:35

can I join too - I'm 5'6 and 10 st 8 - would like to lost a stone but mostly want not to have someone else's stomach attached to me (that's what it looks like...).

I also live on a Gimongous hill! So that's good for walking, tho not sure it cuts it for the stomach.

Apart from sit ups (hating sit ups) what else is good for getting the jelly out ya belly?

dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:37

Ahh see I can wear 12 tops (bit more snug than Id like though, got me breastfeeding boobs) but 14 bottoms.

Currently limited to what I can wear at the mo, I refuse to buy bigger clothes.

So my plan is to get to 8-10 and then buy some of those magic pants

SheikYerbouti · 28/07/2008 13:47

good good.

Bouti Sheiking Gold Star for you Slouchy

I did my bouti sheiking this morning (15 min walk from the bus top to thewoffice) and I did it tweice. (get me!) I am also planning on going swimming tomorrow evening.

I am exercise phobic (except for swimming - I love it) and I find the best way fowrad is to do short burst of stuff a few times a day. I am much more active now than a months ago. OK, I might not be fit BUT I am more active and I can feel it making a difference. Do stuff like walking to the shops instead of driving (I actually find this easier, as I just put DS2 in the oushchair and I doin;t have to fart about getting them out of the car) run upstairs instead of walking, don;t use the lift at work, walk to the next bus-stop. 5 mnins here and 5 mins there really does make a differnce if you are a couch potato (as I am)

NOW MOVE.

I do between 30-40 mins on the cross trainer on the weight loss or mountain setting at level 7. I burn between 300-400 cals in that time depending on effort made I am now the same weight I was before getting pregnant but no where near as svelte looking in the tummy dept. After ds1 at this weight my tummy was flat again, after ds2 and a c-section no bloomin chance. To wear a 14 they are a bit tight round the tummy but fine everywhere else, a 16 just looks far too big on me. In an ideal world I would be a 15

Just off out in a minute to the park with the boys and MiL, she comes every monday afternoon to see them Will attempt cross trainer tonight but its bloody hot!

Jahan · 28/07/2008 13:57

It is too hot for the park for me! I am going to get the paddling pool out for the boys this afternoon.

I'll go to the park this evening when it cools down and do some brisk walking (prob about 40mins)

I was going to have soup for lunch but thats a stupid idea in this heat so had salad in pitta bread and a banana.
Had a yoghurt, nectarine and banana(big bunch of them that are getting very ripe!) for breakfast.

Jahan · 28/07/2008 13:58

Oh and I'm going to start doing sit ups every day too.

dillinger · 28/07/2008 13:58

Yes its boiling! I dont enjoy the heat so much. Blimey Id never manage that on the cross trainer lol well done!

Slouchy · 28/07/2008 14:00

pilates really helps flatten a post-baby tummy and give some muscle def back. I still weigh 1/2 stone or so more than when I got pg with dd1 so there is a little bit of lard there, but my tum is muscular (under the excess!). I have been doing a weekly class for last 2 years though so not a quick fix

Flossish · 28/07/2008 14:00

sheikh, would you promote running up and down my stairs?!!

Good luck, if you want me to get you some nice WW recipes shout me and I'll get you some!

Cappuccino · 28/07/2008 14:03

I'm mee-elll-ting

Jahan · 28/07/2008 14:06

If only all that lard would melt off me....
