I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Bugger! Oh well guess I am going to have to really motivate myself then. Days are ok but evenings are when I always mess up spectacularly.

SheikYerbouti · 26/07/2008 10:44

Thjanks dilly, I might takle you up on it

I try to get out with the kids - I cabn often bw spotted walking rtound Weston at a snail's pace with my 2 in tow

RBH, wht do you do in the evcenings? Do you watch TV?

OP posts:
RBH · 26/07/2008 10:51

Yes usually as too knackered to read. If I could get the hang of the Pilates stuff I could do it without the dvd whilst watching tv but it's the getting started bit that I struggle with.

Alambil · 26/07/2008 17:36

I saw Fizz last night and rekon she's a small 14/large 12 actually - I don't think she's tiny (under a 12) yet but looks like she's going well!

RBH · 26/07/2008 18:07

I thought she looked really good. I can aim for a size 14 I reckon!

jofeb04 · 26/07/2008 18:48

My biggest problem is stopping drinking coke. Use it as a suger boost normally, hence my suger levels are all over!

But, I have bought some dvds off ebay to use (one is Divina Macall, one is pilates, other is Tai Chi),so as soon as my foot is healed (have cracked the bone and damaged ligaments) I am planning on excerising at home three times a week, plus swimming once a week!

My problem is I always plan, but never seem to do!

Going to have a smoothie tonight, loads of berries in it.

chocolatespiders · 26/07/2008 18:59

count me in i have been trying to lose weight since new year

and havent!!!!!

must try harder!!

size 20 now would love to be a size 16 - surely it is not hard to drop 2 dress sizes?

Alambil · 26/07/2008 21:32

no chocolate - I've gone from a 26 to 20 in 12 weeks (sensibly too) so it's possible... just a case of mind over matter!

I had a salad and chicken tonight - good food

chocolatespiders · 26/07/2008 21:52

hi lewisfan

what kind of things are you having for the rest of the day...?

i have had couscous and salad for tea..

Alambil · 26/07/2008 23:23

Low GI rules;

carbs for breakfast (porridge etc) then salad and some sandwich ham with 2 ryvita for lunch, then meat n veg for dinner.

Fruit (no exotics like bananas/grapes/melon. You can have dried cranberries, or fresh apples, berries etc) to snack or seeds (one tbsp sunflower seeds mixed with 1tbsp of linseeds I think it is...)

No wheat, no caffeine, no alcohol. No pasta or rice.

That's it plus exersize 3 times a week (break a sweat for 30 mins whether that be from the gym, walking or housework.

Alambil · 26/07/2008 23:24

oh 2 snacks per day - that's all

SheikYerbouti · 27/07/2008 10:42

Well, I got royally bollocksed last night. I feel poo and am fighting an urge for lucozade and crisps

However, I am determined this week to be as good as I possibly can.

OP posts:
Alambil · 27/07/2008 11:05

well you could have a healthy fry (see grill) up... mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, eggs - aren't the end of the world.

drink LOADS of water though

Slouchy · 27/07/2008 11:09

I'll sheik mine - have about a stone to get rid of really.

Currently bang on 11, would liek to be 10 (am 5ft7). Massive tits though(planning a reduction, will make appt to see GP this wk).

Dh is away for next 5 weeks working in Dubai (boo hoo) so good excuse to eat more sensibly anyway.

Let the bouti-sheiking commence!

(Considers name-change to sheikingstevens but rejects as a bit stalkerish)

SheikYerbouti · 27/07/2008 15:39

lol at SheikingStevens

Well, have been relatively good - had the lucozade, but not the crisps and am having steak and Greek salad for supper. I am also planning to swim 4 times this week (I love swimming and need a boot up the arse to go)

I am going to go on Tues and Wednesday evening and also Saturday and Sunday morning.

SheikYerbouti · 27/07/2008 15:57

You could do the tiger feet dance for 30 mins a day, TF, that would give you a stonking waistline

OP posts:
TigerFeet · 27/07/2008 16:06

I would expire from exhaustion within a couple of days Sheik. In this heat a bit of light hoovering brings me out in a rash.

Am a bit scared of weight loss cleeks. Hence the peeking. I have ishoos with food and really struggle to lose weight. I need to lose about 6 stone.

pickie · 27/07/2008 16:10

Ohh can I joing in please? My bouti needs a lot of shaking! Was going to join WW online as been farting about for 6 months to loose 5kg which now is 7kg!

SheikYerbouti · 27/07/2008 16:11

This is no quiche. Just arse kicking, and somewhere to moan if things are not going to plan.

I have about 3-4 stone to lose (possibly a bit more)

Losing weight is hard, but we CAN DO IT.

I have huge body image issues, but I am trying to overcome them. I am telling myself this is more for fitness and energy levels than weightloss. I am laso not trying to beat myself up if I have a slip-up, which is a major prob for me. If I eas so much as anything contraband, I sthink "Ah,m bollocks" and then stuff my face in the manner of Rick Waller at a buffet for the rest of the day

OP posts:
SheikYerbouti · 27/07/2008 16:13

I think we should do an interrim target type thing. A short term goal that is easily acheiveable. For me, thinking of all of the poundage I need to shed is too daunting. Soo I am going to say for mine, I want to be in a size 12 by Christmas (involves dropping a dress size, so easy to do)

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 27/07/2008 16:16

how do

just thought I'd pop in, in a chubby sort of a way, have a look around

you know

Well I will give it a go - ermmmm, have tried and failed spectacularly no end of times before but will Not Be Downhearted.

So an interim target. Half a stone by the end of August.

It's horrible being fat in this heat. I swear I am self basting.
