I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Dry body brushing is the answer to that.It works wonders and you'll see a noticable difference in 2 weeks.

You'll get used to it very quickly then you'll be amazed at your smooth skin

Sputnik · 21/08/2008 21:45

I always wondered about that Jahan, how stiff do the bristles need to be? I know that if you build muscle it wipes out cellulite (I managed that a few years ago before I ruined my good work by having 2 children). You can be thin and have cellulite, it's a question of distribution apparently.

We ate out tonight and I had a couple of glasses of wine too, but I still have a calorie deficit, according to Fitday. I tackled the other DVD and did a cardio workout of 30 minutes, after which I was very knackered starving energised. There are 3 cardio workouts on there, the 1 I did was quite fun, and certainly beats an exercise bike or something. I am, bizarely, looking forward to trying another tomorrow.

Sputnik · 21/08/2008 21:49

BTW Stormy, tuna has shedloads of vit D, according to Fday

Sputnik - the bristles need to be quite firm. I bought mine from The Body Shop years ago.

Read this Dry Skin Brushing

I've been slack with this so thanks for reminding me! I've started it up again.

I really need to do more exercise. I've only been for one walk this week and thats it. I've just got to get more organised so I can fit in my dvd at least.

VictorianSqualor · 22/08/2008 09:24

I've lost another inch off my waist and another inch off my thighs
Plus since I started my body fat percentage has gone down by 4%.
I didn't do any exercise last night as I was stuck at A&E with ds1, but I did carry a three stone child half a mile from the hospital to where I was meeting DP, surely that helps?
Plus I only had cheese on toast for dinner as I just could not be fucked with food when I got in.
I've only drank tuesday this week so I'm treating myself to wine tonight.

PinkButterfly · 22/08/2008 09:39

Oh you have all been doing so well this week - well done all!!!

So sorry to hear about your friend Sheik.

I must have a tapeworm or the like - I can't stop eating rubbish (and have done no exercise all week). I might not even attempt stepping on the scales in the morning. Oh dear!!!

Slouchy · 22/08/2008 09:44

Sigh.

Still 11 stone exactly. No more, no less.
Going away fro Bank hol today, lots of good food and wine will be consumed (going to stay at my sister's, my bil is VG cook)

So only ryvita and dust for me next week. as marjorie Dawes says, "Dust! Dust is free!"

PinkButterfly · 22/08/2008 09:52

Slouchy - you will have a loss next week if you keep up the good work. A week with no loss is common and is WAY better than a gain which I will no doubt have again in the morning. Enjoy your weekend. Surely we have to let our hair down for special ocassions etc or what's the point - that's no way to live. I don't even have that excuse though I have just been stuffing face and drinking with gay abandon all week but at home and for no reason. My wedding anniversary on Sunday so I WILL be going out for nice big guilt free slap up meal. Think I will need join you with the ryvita and dust the rest of the time though!

Jahan · 22/08/2008 10:00

I feel your pain Slouchy.

I feel so down. I just weighed myself and I am also 11 stones exactly (same as last week).

I've really tried to be good and stick to my cal allowance AND I am bfing. Ds2 is 10 months and I have really had to work hard since January to shift the weight and its either not coming off or comes off very slowly. I have lost 21lbs since Jan but I need to lose another 1.5 stones at least. Its so depressing when other people I know lost weighjt so easily bfing.

Have a nice break, Slouchy
Well done VS. You seem to be doing really well.

scorpio1 · 22/08/2008 11:19

Jahan - i am bfing; in the beginning it just fell off, but then got 'stuck' on me. Might have an indian tonight; apparently tandoori chicken or prawns best thing to have, with plain rice. yay! Feel slimmer, clothes have more room, etc.

Sputnik · 22/08/2008 13:47

Oi you lot, what's all this weighing yourself on a Friday business?

Jahan, I know exactly what you mean, some people seem to lose easily while bf but I am also one of those whose bodies seem to hang on to every last ounce while bf. I have lost a tiny bit since xmas but it's been really hard. According to fday I should have lost around 2lbs this week (and I haven't even factored in the bf). I am going to be very disapointed tomorrow if I haven't.

Sputnik · 22/08/2008 13:57

Stormy, it was canned tuna in olive oil. 75g was 44% RDA of vitD.

Congrats on your inches VS.

VictorianSqualor · 22/08/2008 14:00

I won't weigh until saturday, it's just the first time I measured was a friday.

Cappuccino · 22/08/2008 14:54

well I am not even eating bad things and I am not keeping under my fitday allowance and I am still blardy starving

today the pils are here so I am going to treat myself to 1tsp of white chocolate sauce on my healthy berry salad dessert

which is a toss as I really want to make a chocolate pudding

still fil is diabetic so it will look as if I care

Sputnik · 22/08/2008 20:31

Don't panic Capp, you weren't officially dieting this week anyway, right?

I found it took a few days for my stomach to shrink a bit, after which I got much less hungry. Bulk everything out with loads of veg. Also, fat is quite filling, as long as you don't go overboard. Avoid refined carbs which leave you hungry again after a couple of hours.

(apologies if you knew all that)

I just had a fab curry with various fish, aubergines, peppers and coconut milk (not as bad as I thought). No rice. Yum.

Sputnik · 22/08/2008 20:43

Ok, piss easy low cal chocolate dessert:

300g ricotta
15g cocoa powder
20g icing sugar
spoon of rum
vanilla essence

Whizz it all up in a food mixer, divide into 4 little cups. Refrigerate 1 or 2 hours. Serve with sauce made from whizzed up raspberries and chocolate wafer.

148 calories per person

1 lb off this week. Teeny steps - but in the right direction.
I'm off for a filthy romantic, child-free weekend now, so plan to eat, drink and be merry to the max!
I promise to be back on the dieting straight and narrow from Tues, though.
Good luck for everyone else's weigh-ins!
