I want to be a size 12 by Chrimbo

And then eventually an 8.

But I need motivating.

I have been farting about on a diet for the last 3 weeks, but I keep cheating. Keep me on the straight and narrow, and in return, I can offer swift kicks up the harris for all of you what need it

Well done everyone!

Good news here too. I lost 2 pounds this week - only just managed to log in after a busy weekend.

oh no Sheik. Poor you and how horrible. Was it sudden?

Take care of yourself. A swim sounds like a good idea x

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 08:50

hi Sheiky; so, so sorry about your friend. Hope the swim helps - it's so easy to turn to Mars bars and booze when you're down, so go you

someone mentioned a fit day site and I just looked for it and - all I can say is oooooh!. I was thinking of going to WW just to get the free 3 months on their online site, but this is rather good, isn't it? I haven't had chance yet to look properly but I like the food thing

I am giving it a bit of a rest tbh this week and next, seeing as we are meant to be on holiday (however dh still needs to be at work ). But since my mum is away on her holiday, it is the first time in about a year, since I first got ME, that I have had to look after my kids on my own, so I"m trying not to add the pressure of being starving to the mix!

but I'll use that site and it should at least get me into thinking about how much I'm eating [weak smile]

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 09:44

oh crap

I have just put my morning coffee into fitday

apparently, being a frothy kind of a drink is very fattening indeed

Sputnik · 19/08/2008 09:51

So sorry to hear that Sheiky.
A swim is a good idea. Take care.

Capp, I am really finding that site very helpful in being concious of what I eat, and I thought I knew a lot about food. If you input everything you eat for a week it will at least give you some ideas what you can cut back on for dieting.

So sorry to hear about you friend Sheiky.

I have been good. I went for a 1/2 hr walk in the park this morning as it was a lovely morning.
It looks like rain now - just as my washing cycle has finished. Fed up of the house looking like a laundry explosion.

I have a friend coming over for the day. Luckily, she's on a diet too so no cakes etc. She's doing lighterlife. She's mad as only has about a stone to lose to be properly slim so she looks fine at the moment anyway. She won't eat anything.
Its weird to have someone over for a whole day and not offer them any food!

Slouchy · 19/08/2008 10:08

Just seen your other thread sheik - how very horrible for him and for you. So sorry.

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 10:09

oh but Storm my milk is legendary

we are not talking about a splash or two of skimmed here

we are talking a jugful of evil plunged through a frother

I take coffee very seriously

Sputnik · 19/08/2008 10:44

Well I love my coffee too and was a strictly full fat person. But then I switched to semiskimmed and hardly noticed.

In Italy a proper cappucino is only a very small cup, so not that much milk in the end. I'm always shocked when I go to the UK, even a small coffee is huge. Actually I usually give up and have tea.

But I realise how you have your coffee is a very personal thing.

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 10:47

I have to scale it down, I think

if I could only drink it black that would be fab

it might take me a couple of years to get to that point tho

MamaG · 19/08/2008 10:53

I drink my coffee black. Only weirdos have milk in their coffee

What happened with your milk/lentil weekend quandry cappy? Were you allowed milk or did yiou ahve to sneak it?

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 11:10

lol mamag it was okay

they had milk [phew]

and coffee, but it was instant

it was a lovely weekend tho

MamaG · 19/08/2008 11:11

I actually prefer instant to real coffee I think because I do have it black, its too strong to have proper coffee!

TigerFeet · 19/08/2008 11:16

Sheiky I am so sorry about your friend, I saw your thread yesterday, how very sad and shocking. How are you feeling today?

Hello everyone

I have been rubbish

I have done very little exercise

I have eaten a load of crap

And lost no weight

Cappuccino · 19/08/2008 11:17

shame on you Mama

however I am glad you seem to still be drinking it whilst pg it is v good for the baby you know

my children are very calm and centred and not at all snappy and irritated

someone on here had a good pedometer, was it Sheikhy? Which one is it?

I drank a lot of coffee whilst pregnant

DOes that explain why dd was a fucking nightmare a tad grumpy this morning?

Hi Storm - I haven't put any on. That in itelf is a wonder. I am so crap at dieting but I need to knuckle down. I saw a pic of myself taken last week and I look awful - fat, bloated and unhealthy

Capp I've been meaning to reply to the email you sent - thank you so much - the eating plan looks great but I am shitey shite at sticking to diets

scorpio1 · 19/08/2008 11:35

I heart coffee Very Much

Sorry Sheik Keep your chin up

Was slightly naughty last night and had dairy milk. about 10 cubes

However, got my passports today (how much money!!!) and am off to la belle France in 2 weeks 3 days

Feeling very lethargic today due to lack of sleep. This is when I find it really hard to stick to a diet. I just need sugar fixes and cake.

Don't give in Storm! I love cake too but remember, being slim is better than eating cake {she says trying to convince herself}

Cappuccino · 20/08/2008 09:17

oh lord I am in LOVE with fitday

I cannot get enough of it

I actually want to eat more in order to input it

that's not going to work as a strategy, is it?
