happynewRia · 30/12/2008 13:05

is wine a he too?

Sparkler · 30/12/2008 15:06

Went to weigh in last night - hadn't been two weeks previously and had a weight gain of 6lbs - OMG. Everyone pretty much had average weight gain of 4lb. One lady poor love had a 10lb gain
Password this week I believe is Grapes.
We were told about the easy plan last night so I have started afresh today and am trying it out - so far so good. It's really weird though to go against everything I've learnt doing Slimming World over the past years and mix all these red and green free foods, it's going to take a while to get used to it.
There's still an awful lot of Christmas stuff hanging around here so it's not going to be easy this week.
Good luck everyone x

CuddlesTC · 30/12/2008 15:17

Hiya, just de-lurking to say that the password is 'grape', without the s.

happynewRia · 30/12/2008 16:14

good luck with the new plan sparkler.

Tommy · 30/12/2008 16:19

I have eaten soooooooooooo much junk over the holidays and it's not all gone yet.

I dread to think what I've put on - Sparkler - do you think 4lb is about average then?

I haven't been running for a few weeks either - blimmin' Christmas - gets in the way of everything

I will start again with a vengeance on Monday

I'm about to eat DS1s (11) first ever dinner party, it smells gorgeous, but he used a fair bit of olive oil. Whoops

Happy new year guys!

Sparkler · 31/12/2008 20:21

I'm enjoying my last night of "FREEDOM" lol. Enjoying Chrimbo left overs and will back onto plan tomorrow - 1 Jan!! Good luck everyone and Happy New Year. x

kid · 01/01/2009 10:43

I need to get back to SW.
Maybe I need to attend SW rather than try and dot it at home by myself. I have proved to myself time and time again that I can't do it!

With it being a new year, I am going to start afresh. How many syns in a jacobs cream cracker?!

My first bit of advice would be to throw out all the Christmas food that you aren't allowed!

The tin of Roses is looking at me but I have resisted.
I can usually manage about 3 days on my own and then I start to cheat! Pointless cheating as I know I am the only one that will suffer.

I did manage to lose 1stone last year, but then there was a death in the family and I just couldn't/wouldn't cook so we practically lived on take aways. It was either that or all of us starve!

But, I intend to put all that behind me now and become organised. I need to do shopping knowing what I want. Not go shopping and see what takes me fancy!

kid · 01/01/2009 22:13

I need some help. Does anyone have any old books that I could buy off them?
The only books I have are from 2000 or even earlier than that!

I do buy the SW magazine but I would love to get hold of the other books with all the lists in.

I'm going to have a look on Ebay but am not sure which ones to get.
Any suggestions?

happynewRia · 01/01/2009 23:32

kid,(this is no help to you at all) but I was keeping an eye on the new diet booklet on ebay, and it's bid at over £10 already, I think with the offer ATM it's less than that to join a class (£9.50?) and get the up-to-date books (I may be wrong, please correct me if I am)

OK, this is my last night of freedom. I WILL TRY this time

kid · 01/01/2009 23:54

I have decided that I am going to cut down between now and Monday and then really get cracking with it.
I am off work until then so its so easy to just pick at food all day. Once I am back at work, that won't be possible.

Do you have to buy the books at the group though? I have never attended a group myself, no idea what happens there. I imagine they are very busy at this time of year!

sugarlumps · 02/01/2009 14:43

the freezer is now full to over flowing will quorn stuff, and not a lot else so fingers crossed will stay motivated!!!

gonna try s/w chips tonight with a quorn smokey ribster and a quorn pork and apple burger and baked beans, which should keep ds happy!!!!
(hopefully the scales too)
looking forward to start group on monday!!!! seems a bit strange paying someone so i can lose weight though, but i cant seem to get motivated (or stay motivated) by myself

hows everyone else doing?
btw found a s/w group on facebook, seems quite good

kid · 02/01/2009 15:59

That FB group is very big and moves very fast, I can't keep up!

I went shopping today and stocked up on healthy food. I forgot the quorn though!
Nevermind, I have enough to keep me going.

I'm not starting SW properly until Monday when I return to work. I will be cutting down drastically between now and then though!

sugarlumps · 02/01/2009 16:09

thats very true kid it does!
forgot to mention earlier muller lights are 27p in tesco at the moment
x

FairLadyRantALot · 02/01/2009 16:19

well...with teh new SW plan...Quorn won't feature much anymore in my household...much to dh's delight And I will be able to do some of our all time favourites prperly again...like Spag Bol and Midnight Soup...yum!

happynewRia · 02/01/2009 17:14

Like the idea of less quorn. Will try to fit in a new group next week. I keep looking at the list of local groups, just need to know DHs shifts for next week so I can plan.

kid you get a pack when you join SW that has the main diet guidelines in, some log sheets for food and exercise, and a couple of other motivational-type booklets (it may be different stuff now, it was 2005 when I went last)

andyrobo237 · 03/01/2009 15:30

Kid - I have a set of books here that you can have for postage costs - it is not the latest plan which combines all the plans in one book, but is the same as in it has the red and green plan in one book, and the mix to max and the success express are in separate books. I can weight them later, and let you know postage. I am doing Weight Watchers, only because the class is at a time I can get to without the kids!!

Sparkler · 03/01/2009 21:00

Somebody PLEASE shout at me. I'm so crap. Put on 6lb at weigh in last Monday after Christmas and still continue to eat crap, weigh in Monday is going to be dreadful
Why can't I sort myself out?
