I was merrily chatting away to myself on another new thread

My goal for this thread is to actually lose something so I can put a number on the stats list.

Well done on resisting the maltesers. I would have had the lot

justRia · 15/07/2008 21:35

I know it's only my second day (and it's not over yet) but I am happy with the calorie counting. I know it's fiddly doing the counting, but I have had cornflakes and orange juice for breakfast both days, and I've been able to have sandwiches for lunch, AND a proper tasty meal for tea, no messing with trying to make someting appealing out of what I have left allowance-wise when I've had bread/cereal alrady. Admittedly I would love a glass of wine just now (bloody habits), and I could have one, but don't have enough calories for 2... so I'm trying to lay off the booze til Friday when it's my Dsis's birthday "party" and no doubt I'll have a couple then.

I am enjoying coming on here to give myself a pat on the back instead of too, so bear with me!

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 15/07/2008 21:47

nice recipe -

14ozpotatoes, par-boiled & sliced
7oz spinach, lightly cooked
1 onion, lightly cooked
1/4pt skimmed milk
1/2 tspn mixed herbs
4oz grated low fat cheddar

put half the potatoes & onions in a dish, then the herbs & spinach, top with the rest of the potato & onion. pour the milk over and leave for 30mins, top with the cheese and bake at 220C for 25 mins. 13g fat/400 cal per serving. serves 2. It passed the DH test with a pork chop.

justRia · 15/07/2008 23:04

Glad you found us.
I'm bored now I've eaten my turkish delight (and drunk several pints of water)

PinkChick · 16/07/2008 08:38

Morning all

Well done JR..you sound like you've had a few very good days and you seem a lot more positive, less of a struggle..you DO have to get your head in the right place, so well done

Im off to park about 10 when the mindees turn up(schools on strike today and tomorrow, so dd is excited to be coming out with us all)

Have packed some sliced grapes for me and we're going to my mums for lunch, shes getting me a slice of beef to make a sandwhich {smile](dont mums do the nicest things)..kids can have ice creams tho as i dont like icecream it wont bother me

OP posts:
RGPargy · 16/07/2008 08:58

Why do you slice your grapes?!!! Aren't they tiny enough already?!

And also, YOU DONT LIKE ICE CREAM?!!!!!! Good Grief woman, you are not normal!!

PinkChick · 16/07/2008 09:24

LOL, i have always sliced then since dd was old enough to eat them so she didnt choke/get one stuck in windpipe!..so i just do it as matter of course..why did you think they had less sugar in if you slice them??..and icecream..bleurgh!..unless its ben n jerrys phish food you can keep it!

went out for lunch few weeks ago, met 2 friends who both work in town and we went for pub meal..got mine, put sauce, mayo, viniger on then proceedewd to cut every piece of it (parmasean) width ways then lengh ways into little squares..totally oblivious..friends were staring at me..one friend who has a child was laughing, one who has no children was puzzled...why are you cuttin all your food up into little squares??..LOL..get so used to doing it for ddas any food above -2 degrees she says is HOT!!!!..hadnt realsied i did it to my own too

justRia · 16/07/2008 11:07

LOL at your lunch pink.

I am SO frustrated this morning. I want to give the living room a monster "spring clean" (good exercise and having DS3s christening here next week) but DS3 has other ideas.

I don't know if it's just my imagination but I think my face looks different today - the lots of water and no booze thing perhaps? I'm not sleeping well though.

PinkChick · 16/07/2008 15:21

its the withdrawel symtoms love

OP posts:
RGPargy · 16/07/2008 17:30

RGPargy · 17/07/2008 22:25

Where is everyone today?!!

justRia · 17/07/2008 23:15

Hi RG. I have been off feeling ill and having a bad back (wore sandals all day yesterday instead of crocs).

had a couple of glasses of wine tonight to celebrate Dsis's b'day.

I am still here in spirit...

RGPargy · 18/07/2008 10:51

I think a birthday is a great excuse for a glass of wine!

PinkChick · 18/07/2008 20:43

HI everyone..feel a bit naughty today, but trying to put it in perspective..

brekky - cereal, ss milk

lunch half baguette with lean beef, 6 chunky (oven) chips

Tea -at soft play party at 4.45-7 for dd's friend, so ordered bbq chicken baguette(everything else was burgers/fried combo's etc), ate only half, two onion rings and bit of salad(toms, onion, peppers, cucumber) and have a little piece about 1 inch square of veyr delicious sponge-birthday cake...feel really bad, but looking back upon it, although ive had bread twice, its not THAT bad is it?

OP posts:
RGPargy · 18/07/2008 21:44

Good grief Pink!! You've done brilliantly today, especially at the party. I dont know how you found the willpower but if you had a little 1 inch square of cake, then consider it a very well earned treat! Well done you!

PinkChick · 19/07/2008 20:01

Thanks Rg, just felt like id ate all day but looking back i hadnt really..another party today though and another piece of cake(guess ive got a new downfall!..still small tho..

brekky - cereal and ss milk

Lunch one small bun with ham in

Dinner corned beef pie with lid taken off and thin(my mum's diet pastsy) under neath pastry

Snack - one small peice of sponge cake

Drinks-fat free red bull and fat free vimto cordial.

hows everyone else been this weekend??
ive got another! party tomorrow!..guess what my treat will be!!

OP posts:
RGPargy · 20/07/2008 14:30

I'm sure you'll be ok from having a couple of small pieces of cake over the weekend as it's a special occasion. As long as it doesn't become a regular occurrence you'll be fine!

I've been bad this week all in all. I wont be surprised if i put on weight at tomorrow's weigh in. Last night i got p1ssed again on wine and ended up having jumbo sausage and chips from the chippy AND almost a whole swiss roll before DP turned up with the chips!! I really have to pull my belt in and get back on track from tomorrow otherwise i wont lose any more weight!

Oh and i've decided that i'm going to give up wine completely. Do any of you get really drunk on one drink in particular but can go on for hours and hours drinking a different drink and you're fine? I'm hopeless on wine, but i can drink vodka for hours!! Plus wine makes me feel like utter crap the next day and so today i am left feeling reeeeeally tired and useless. Ugh, i hate feeling like this!!

Have a nice Sunday everyone

PinkChick · 20/07/2008 19:58

i know, RG im getting a real taste for it..habit trying to creep back in!

YOu sound like youve 'needed' to have something and just totally went for it last night..i do that i i totally stop myself having something!

i like to drink dry martini and lemonaid, but since on these tabs i go woozy straight away so ahvent botherd a t all..hate wine, used to like it but feel crap the following day so dont bother!

gunna try and do more walking again this week, friend just had baby last night so am hoping to be able to walk into town weather permitting in morn and will try ot eat lots of fruit/veg etc as we go to blackpool friday for long weekend and i dont imagine we'll be stopping at the salad bars!..will be more like maccy dees!

PinkChick · 21/07/2008 13:40

Hi everyone, quiet in here lately?
