Hi Pink

had a lovely day shopping at bluewater today. Bought myself some new shoes for work and a couple of necklaces too. I'm all set for Thursday now (sob!)

Dont beat yourself up too much about the chips and gravy pink. If it was a one off it'll be fine. As for the walking not showing up, i think it's only regular exercise that will actually make any difference. Bummer, i know.

Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow and crack on with being good tomorrow, just like i'm going to do.

PinkChick · 29/07/2008 08:30

HI Rg..whats this then?, you going back to work Thurs?, have you been on maternity? or just off?..sorry i never read profiles so not much idea what everyone is up to other than when i speak to you on here

Glad you had nice time shopping i always think a nice bit of jewlerry perks you up, if i have nothing new to wear/feel happy in, a new neckalce/bracelt/ring(not pricy, just dress) makes me feel better

am knocking the crappy foods on head again, got lots of spuds, beans, pasta gammon, mince, chicken etc in to make up meals..im really going to go for it now!.x

Could I join for moral support?

RGPargy · 29/07/2008 11:27

Hi mamadiva - welcome to the thread!!

Pink - Yes, i'm going back to work after being on maternity leave for the last 9 months. I only have ONE daughter (LOL!!) who is nearly 8 months and a son of 18 years too.

Good luck on your weigh in and well done on the baggy jeans!!!!

Have got to take my shoes back today as they've given me two different bloody sizes! How annoying!!

Right, little miss has woken up from her nap so i'd better go.

Have a nice day everyone!

PinkChick · 29/07/2008 12:24

aw well when it said two children on your profile and i saw baby baby and toddler i assumed those were the 2! doh!

what a nightmare about your shoes!, its not that difficult is it!

Hi MamaDiva,t hats a fab weight loss already!..im like you in needing to lose a large amount, i have just been to get weighed this morn and have lost 2lb..it would have been more had i not been drinking full fat coke/red bull and eating marshmallow chocs in blackpool..cant believe ive slipped so much..however, its still 2lb OFF, so now 1st and 9lb altogether, i AM going to get that 5lb off before the next weigh in in 2 weeks..I AM!!!!

am going to only drink water and try to flush toxins out and not eat chips as id slipped back into once or twice a week with them!
think ill do gammon with jacket spud for dinner tonight??

Well hope everyone else has had good result yesterday/today??

RGPargy · 30/07/2008 08:40

Pink - LOL!! There's no toddler on my pics, just my baby!! She's only nearly 8 months old bless her. The work thing - sorry i rushed a bit yesterday! i'm going back to work TOMORROW ( ) but only for 2 days a week during August and then up to 3 days a week from September for the foreseeable.

Well done on your weight loss!! Normal coke and redbull have loads of sugar in them, but at least you still lost 2lbs!

Ags - Well done on your weight loss - you are truly inspirational! Wow, 75lbs!!!!

Jaz - Well done on your loss too!! I see you've lost 14lbs, a whole stone!! Makes a difference to get to that first stone off doesn't it. Keep at it!!

jaz236 · 30/07/2008 20:13

Thanks RG, just need to shift 3 more dammed stone now - its taken me ages to loose this much, its hard.

Got to remain focused and positive - gosh you are going back to work blimey, u looking forward to it?

piximon · 30/07/2008 20:46

Hello ladies, I'd like to join the thread if you don't mind. I've lost about a stone since ds3 was born (4mths) but would still like to lose about another 5 stone to get to my "ideal healthy" weight.

Have been finding life a struggle recently so haven't been doing any exercise, also keep hoovering up food like it's going out of fashion. Hadn't weighed myself for over three weeks but did so yesterday and found I'd lost 1lb so although not great I was glad not to have put on.

I have 5 young dcs and am breast feeding the youngest. I'm mostly veggie although been eating fish lately and currently dairy free as ds3 shows reflux symptoms when I eat anything tasty with dairy in.

Really struggling with finding a suitable meal planner I can stick to and doesn't help that I am surrounded by diet saboteurs (my mum brought home a 12pk of croissants yesterday - temped though I was I didn't because it wasn't worth having ds3 puke all over me all day).

Anyway, glad to have found the thread and people who're already on their way to their targets. I'm hoping some of your inspiration will rub off.

at intro essay.

PinkChick · 30/07/2008 21:42

Hi Piximon, there are a couple of us who have wuite a bit to lose, so you wont be alone(i need to lose about 5 more stone)
Im sure there will be girls on here who can advize you on eating vegetarian and dairy free(if not on the thread, you can start one of your own asking for menu's?)

anyway...i went to cousins little girls party tonight, was really good at BBQ, other cousins hubby made fresh burgers, no fat, extra lean beef mince, with peppers etc put in and had a few little cubed potatos(dry baked in oven.........then...ALL i will say to you is................................
CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN..............................................................

Jaz - Yeah i'm going back to work and i'm deffo NOT looking forward to it!! It's only because of money that i have to, unfortunately. On the plus side (rather like me!) it's only part time so i get the best of both worlds in a way because i get to be "RGPargy" for 2/3 days as well as "mummy" for the rest of the time. I'm looking forward to seeing the girls but i know i'm going to miss DD terribly.

Piximon - hello and welcome! Well done on the stone lost so far, especially only in 4 months - that's brilliant!! Good for you for BF your youngest of FIVE () DCs. What a shame that you have to avoid lovely dairy stuff. Dont forget tho that you are allowed a few extra calories if you're exclusively BF. I think it's around 500 extra cals a day or if you're going to be doing Weight Witches, it's an extra 10 points a day. When i first joined WW i was on 37 points (including my extra 10 points) and it was LOVELY haha! I'm sure you'll be fine tho. I will say tho that if you're struggling to find support etc, perhaps you could join either WW or Slimming World and then that way you might find it easier to plan your meals as well as getting invaluable support from the meetings. Just a thought? PS - your DCs look adorable!

Pink - PMSL @ chocolate fountain!!! What are you like?!! Having said that, it's the EXACTLY the sort of thing that i would have done!! Funny tho, my WW leader always says if you're going to have a treat day, make it the day that you get weighed (or the day after if you get weighed at an evening class), but obviously AFTER you've been weighed so I reckon you'll be ok for the next weigh in. You really must be good now tho Pink, you've been slacking lately. TIGHTEN THAT BELT YOUNG LADY!!!

Well, i've been farting around tonight getting stuff ready for tomorrow . I've got my lunch at the ready - i'm having a couscous snack pot (1 point) and a muller light yoghurt (1.5 points).

have a nice evening everyone!

PinkChick · 31/07/2008 08:48

i wasnt going to talk to you today after telling me off but seeing as tho you're going back to work............i wanted to say have a lovely day, try not to worry about your dd too much, it will be lovely when you get home and see her, she will have grown so much!

however you are right, i have been slacking..BUT..i didnt weight diff on scales this morn as i was uber good yesterday through day incase of situations like this!
i only actually had 4 marshmallows drizzled in choc and 2 strawberries, no full fat drinks as aunty had diet everything..and ate loads of cherry toms, lettuce, onion salady stuff with meal.

off to park today if rain doesnt decend so plenty of walking, made sandwhiches to take (ham and tom no butter) with sugar free jellies and lots of grapes..i fully intend to tighten my belt (metaforically(sp) and literally)...haev a good day everyone...let us know how you get on RG

Hello all,

How are you this fine morning? Had a fab day yesterday, diet wise obv, went out for a LOOONNGGG walk with DS and had a picnic at lunchtime was lovely.

So when is the next weigh in? How does it work on here?

PinkChick · 31/07/2008 08:56

Hi MD, glad you had good day...we do our own variable weigh ins whenever that may be, then we just copy and paste the weighloss table having changed our own to that weeks loss/gain/maintain etc

OP posts:
mamadiva · 31/07/2008 09:01

Ahh thank you Pinkchick.

Just wanted to be clear only like 6 stone to go.

Will get there one day eh? LOL.

PinkChick · 31/07/2008 09:09

, yes you will, you've already done so well in such a short time, remember its taken us years to get like this, for me i was 10st, when i was i late junior school (i vividly remember my bastard father getting me weighed for all to see in public swimming baths), my suggested ideal weight is just under 10st NOW, so at 15st, i need to lsoe 5st, but really TBH, i think (or maybe cos ive always been big i dont know any different?) that would be 'too slim' for me???..who knows, but trying it for a while would be nice

hope you have a good day today, when do you get weighed?
