Keeping my weightless accountable

I have been reading weight loss threads and have missed the boat to join at the start with others losing weight, so am starting another one in an attempt to keep myself accountable in losing weight.

I am 5ft7 and perimenopausal. On HRT and have been eating my way steadily to obesity. According to last check in with GP i was obese and I want not to be.

I started last weekend and have lost a little bit of weight, just need to keep going and not lose the run of myself

SW 90kg
CW 87.5kg
GW ? 80kg for now

I walk the dog 3x a day, row for 20 minutes 3x a week and have just started a weekly team sport. I want to fit in a run or an exercise class at some point each week but will leave that until my knees feel better.

Currently aiming for around 1600-1700 calories a day. If I go too low I lose the plot and attack the biscuits.

Here i go.

Good work @fairsintown !

Yes, builders are back. We are the start of an 8 week (probably longer, i know what builders are like) build. At the end we will have a lovely new kitchen. And hopefully i will still have a properly functioning digestive system...😬😂

I think I was less than 85.9kg this morning but was in a rush - DH and DD both needed showers at the exact time I normally shower so couldn't do my usual "weigh three times and look for consistency" approach.

Ate around 1600 cals yesterday (NOT cats, autocorrect insisting I eat a phenomenal number of cats each day is not helping me 😆) . This morning was a 'rest' as I have football this evening.

Onwards!

@ExcellentboiledpotatoI know what you mean about taking multiple readings to get an average. Yesterday after exercise, before eating and when I was dehydrated I was 194.something, but then back up at 197.2 after my evening meal last night. I’m recording my pre-breakfast weights here for consistent comparison. I think it’s much healthier for us both that weightloss has slowed a bit from the initial big drops, but it def makes the motivation harder to hang onto! I keep reminding myself that slower loss equates to better muscle maintenance and better skin, but slow is boring too. I’m having to take it v easy on the exercise due to health and injuries. I’m hoping both will improve at a lower weight, but I’d love to just distract myself with a run!

@AbzMoz@Ella31and any others still reading, how are you all getting on?

I’ve plateaued (which I’m ok with) as I had to go to my parents and the diet and exercise (unless cleaning and decluttering counts) stalled. Have caught a bit of a cold now too. Anyways - progress is rarely a straight line so I’m being kind to myself and will get back on it in a few days!

@AbzMozcleaning and decluttering definitely count!!

Excellentboiledpotato · Yesterday 08:11

@AbzMoz cleaning and decluttering takes a lot of energy. I hate doing it 😆

No row for me - went into the garage to find that everything in the garage is now on top of the rowing machine. Ffs builders. I know they need space to store tools etc but it genuinely looks like my 11yr old "tidied" in there. No time for a run. I will run tomorrow and spend time over the weekend tidying the garage. Which i hate almost as much as cleaning and decluttering...

Anyway, scales showed 85kg this morning which was nice to see after the horror show that is the inside of the garage.

Oh that’s not on to bury expensive gym equipment @Excellentboiledpotato! I hope they are better at kitchens than they are at tidying!

Im clearly on weight loss go slow this week. It varies hugely depending on my cycle, so i
guessing it’s that.
