Keeping my weightless accountable

I have been reading weight loss threads and have missed the boat to join at the start with others losing weight, so am starting another one in an attempt to keep myself accountable in losing weight.

I am 5ft7 and perimenopausal. On HRT and have been eating my way steadily to obesity. According to last check in with GP i was obese and I want not to be.

I started last weekend and have lost a little bit of weight, just need to keep going and not lose the run of myself

SW 90kg
CW 87.5kg
GW ? 80kg for now

I walk the dog 3x a day, row for 20 minutes 3x a week and have just started a weekly team sport. I want to fit in a run or an exercise class at some point each week but will leave that until my knees feel better.

Currently aiming for around 1600-1700 calories a day. If I go too low I lose the plot and attack the biscuits.

Here i go.

Whoop @Excellentboiledpotato! You’ve well and truly broken through that plateau! Well done for keeping on keeping on even when it got really frustrating. I’m terrible for throwing in the towel at times like that.

No idea what the scales will say, but my food choices continue to be a mixture of ok, and less ideal but delicious. I’m doing what I can while being practical, so what will be will be. Got everything crossed for not having gained this week 🤞🏻

Well done on the progress! Keeping going through a plateau is so hard but you did it!

Nothing much to report im the same weight this morning but it’s Friday so Friday treat! I went to the gym and did body balance and had a McMuffin and hash brown, the best 560 calories ever! Too zen to focus on my work now though!

87.5kg already is a good start, and I like that you’ve set 80kg as an initial goal rather than trying to map out the entire journey at once. The 1600–1700 target sounds much more sustainable if going lower leaves you attacking the biscuits, and you’ve already got loads of movement built into your week
