How about losing one stone by Christmas 🌲

Clitmandu · 14/09/2025 08:22

There are 14 weeks until Christmas. I’m thinking just one pound a week would crack a stone off and make a big difference.

One pound a week is doable and not too much pressure.

I am starting today, my plan is to stop being so bloody greedy and stop the mindless all day long scoffing.

Weigh in every Sunday.

Am off to dust off the scales and weigh myself, I will report back !

Would love some company.

Hope everyone is getting on ok. Week ended up slow on loss front with travel and social stuff

fitness better though so will keep pushing on that. Some NSV as well - clothes feeling less snug and someone took a pic of me last week that didn’t make me look like a potato… finally

good luck this week everyone

Chocolatebutton0 · 17/11/2025 23:29

I’ve stuck to my calories all week and seem to have gained a lb. I think I need to try upping the water and steps this week. Quite disheartening but I’m going to try and keep going.

TeamToeBeans · 18/11/2025 09:06

150.8 lbs today. I’m aiming for 140, but that feels quite a long way off, so for now I’m trying to just get under 150 and stay there. I’ve dipped below a couple of times, but the weekend usually sends me back over.

I’ve joined the gym this week, went for my first proper session last night. It was ok, I can feel it this morning, so presumably it’s doing some good.

Harrysmummy246 · 18/11/2025 09:59

I have fallen off the tracking wagon and weight has spiked back up, hopefully just because my period has arrived. Trying to commit to getting back on it but gaaaaahahahah

hobbledyhoy · 18/11/2025 15:49

Had a bit of a blow out yesterday as had a massage and then had fish and chips either a craving walk along the beach, followed by coffee and pastries and then malteasers at night! I was classing it as my day off but back to it today and if I can get to 11.8 this week I’ll be happy

MightyGoldBear · 19/11/2025 10:02

Ah I've hit a bit of a slump with motivation. I've had a good week off intermittent fasting and struggling to get back to it. The cold weather and a 3 year old not sleeping just makes me want to gorge on food and not move šŸ™ˆ we had a take away at the weekend which was sooo nice but I've gone up slightly to 11stone.

Hoping I get some motivation soon šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»

AreYouBrandNew · 19/11/2025 13:49

The scales flashed to 13 st 3 this morning and I'm going to take that. It is off a pretty stressful week.

5 lbs to go (with some ups and slow downs on the way I expect)

AreYouBrandNew · 19/11/2025 13:49

hope everyone is keeping on somehow šŸ’Ŗ

Greenfingers37 · 21/11/2025 10:50

Another 1.5lbs off at Slimming World this morning. 9.5lbs down altogether, 4.5lbs to go. But a few nights out coming up so need to rein it in in between times!

MightyGoldBear · 21/11/2025 11:13

I'm holding at 11.I just can't seem to get back into intermittent fasting with the cold weather šŸ™ˆ I think I'm going to have to give myself some tough love and just do it as I want some wiggle room for Christmas šŸ˜‹

Well done @AreYouBrandNewand @Greenfingers37on your losses. Hoping you have less stress this week brandnew.

MiddlingMarch · 21/11/2025 13:02

Ive been away all week with work. Did not track food, no exercise. Will just start again from tomorrow šŸ˜†

Silverblue1985 · 21/11/2025 14:00

64.6kg for me, I’ve had five good days at my deficit and then a couple of days with crazy cravings. My breasts are hurting again so maybe hormonal…

However, I found another size 18 skirt in the wardrobe, which didn’t fit in January (I was a solid size 20). All my other clothes are up in the loft so I hadn’t tried any on since and it’s massive seeing the difference.

I still have my three IKEA bags of size 8 (and some size 6) clothes under my desk in the spare bedroom, my lowest was around 55kg about 10 years ago, but I had really low blood pressure with constant dizziness back then, so don’t think I’d want to get that low again.

How about losing one stone by Christmas 🌲
Silverblue1985 · 21/11/2025 14:00

Congratulations @Greenfingers37!

Pixie2015 · 23/11/2025 20:56

Congratulations on all the losses - its so hard but still trying - overall 4Lb down overall since started so at rate of approx half pound a week but like everyone else I am up and down throughout month.

MedievalNun · 24/11/2025 18:54

Well, I had to be weighed at a hospital appointment at the weekend and I’ve lost another two kilos since the middle of September, which is good as I had a blip in the middle of this. Still some way to go but it’s moving slowly.

AreYouBrandNew · 24/11/2025 20:34

The birthday week hit me (and the scales) a bit! Back to it. Going to be a tough push to get to the stone in a month but here we go...

AreYouBrandNew · 27/11/2025 09:55

Anyone still going? I’m holding on to 8lb loss and trying to keep going

MiddlingMarch · 27/11/2025 12:13

I am still on a 4kg loss. But losing interest. Distracted by little treats I do not need.

I read the thread and everyone is doing so well. Time to kick myself up the bum and get serious again. Again again!

blizymitzy · 27/11/2025 13:14

I’m 6 lb down since we started and have lost momentum 😭
dd gets married next year and I really want to be 1.5 stone lighter so I need to get back to it!

blizymitzy · 27/11/2025 13:16

@AreYouBrandNew
I’m going to really try between now and Christmas .
even a couple of pounds off would be good!

You’re not the only one. I’ve had a couple of birthdays and found it very hard to get back to my regular calorie counting. This is the first day I’ve stuck to it, so far! Motivation is very hard leading up to Christmas.

hobbledyhoy · 27/11/2025 21:27

I’m down to 11st 8.4 as of yesterday and hoping to show a little loss on the scales tomorrow when I weigh myself first thing and before any tea touches my lips, just in case it adds a couple of pounds šŸ˜‚

Silverblue1985 · 30/11/2025 20:12

I’m finally over my plateau and down to 64kg this morning. Or 10.08st.
That makes it -2.7kg since 6th October, I guess everyone says the last 5kg are the most difficult!

@hobbledyhoy Congratulations - hope the next weigh-in was positive!
@Chocolatebutton0 Good luck - it’s so difficult when social stuff happens.
@blizymitzy / @MiddlingMarch / @AreYouBrandNew Good luck to all of you, too!

MiddlingMarch · 01/12/2025 14:32

That is great @Silverblue1985!
I am 1kg up šŸ™„ but my own fault, same old eating too much. Back in it today.

AreYouBrandNew · 02/12/2025 07:34

Back on it for last stretch, 3.5 weeks tough ones! It’s not going to be healthy but will try and keep calories down and exercise up. Aiming to run minimum 1k a day to force me into exercise. Skipped bread with my soup yesterday to squeeze in mince pie šŸ˜…
