I'm on day 1 - having regained some of the weight I lost on CD last year. Am full of if only's and have been struggling for weeks trying just to eat healthily in order to avoid the drastic step of CD!! Would be great to get a support thread going

Rest of yesterday not too bad. I had a meal in the evening (pork and courgette/pepper/onion stir fry. Low carb) and my shake at bedtime.

Today I've had the peanut crunch bar and a meal of chicken, pepper, beans and onions with a bit of sweet chilli sauce, so I've just got the shake left for bed.

My weight had rocketed this morning and I'm back where I was 3 bloody weeks ago . I'm hoping it's mostly fluid and will vanish again .

Must drink more water.

You're doing brilliantly

Sure it will be water, doesn't sound like you ate enough to gain any fat. I guess it's automatic that anyone doing this diet will regain 5 or 6lbs when they stop just in water and glycogen stores. Hope today going well.

I had my 4th weigh in today and lost another 4lbs which takes it to 1st6lbs in total am v pleased. I am supposed to be doing the add a meal week this week but have decided to stick to sole source. I think I'd find it much harder if I was eating in the evenings. Have to go out for dinner at the end of next week though so will have to find something low carb to eat. Do you reckon a chicken salad would be ok? Never done a low carb diet so no idea really!

20lb in 4 weeks is fantastic

i am planning to start tomorrow... but in a honesty i am dreading it...

I dont know how i will cope... and how i will stop myself from reaching for the crips etc....

no even worth getting rid of them as i would find something ie.. toast...

so how do you manage to resist everything and not blow the diet?

I am a lone parent to 2 girls and need to lose weight i have been trying to do it for the last 7 years....but i need to do it... i want my life back

even today i have had my coat on as i cant bear anyone to see my wide arse....

No advice other than to say that if you can stick to it the weight will fall off.

Make sure you drink plenty of water.

Adapt it slightly if it helps. Rather than having just three 'meals' split the shakes so you have six. I split them during the day then have a full one at night as it helps me sleep.

I started okay but have slipped somewhat .

I'm back on track and have just bought some more ketostix as they help me feel motivated.

Hi Chocolatespiders, how is day one going? How much do you want to lose? I found the first couple of days the hardest but as soon as you go into ketosis you will feel loads better.

I found drinking a pint of water every time I felt hungry really helped. i also think that I've got to point where I have just had enough of being overweight. I feel like I am trapped in somebody elses body and everytime I have a 'can't do this' moment I think about it and eating seems less appealing!

I also wrote down all the reasons I was doing it on a sheet of paper which is next to my bed, reading it helps me keep motivated. Although I think the biggest motivation is seeing the weight come off so quickly.

Hope today good for you too Oggs. Off for yet another glass of water (never weed so much in my life!! )

I'm soooooooooo relieved I didn't put anything on after the incident involving vodka and banana cake

There are two Cambridge threads at the moment and I keep getting confused and have to repeat myself.
I 've been thinking that it might be an idea to make a new thread (posting a link to it on each of the existing threads) and all come together on the one new thread.
What does everybody think?
