After all, it is Monday and Mondays are a good diet starting day!

I've pretty much hit rock bottom and am really down that I can't seem to sort myself out.

There have been many failed attempts where I lose a few pounds then feel pleased with myself so I scoff loads of chocolate to celebrate my loss. Rinse and repeat.

I am now 12st 7, I weighed myself first thing.

Anyone want to give it another go?

Ok I have weighed and have put a few lb on since last weigh in.
Start weight last year was 18.10
My lowest weight in Jan was 14.8 but this was after a week in hospital and a few days nil by mouth!
The last few weeks have been hard with a few gains and I kept thinking I will always be fat let's give up coupled with the comments on my weight loss which as I have said I hate. I end up saying, 'have I, I don't weigh myself so not sure. What a liar!!
Anyway current weight 14.13, first mission is not to hit the 15's again as I have worked hard to get under that.
This week I will try harder and plot everything on my app good and bad.

myplace · 15/03/2025 15:17

That’s hard, @Sunshineandrainbow.

@NorthernGirl1981my approach to curry is to eat a bit less sauce and a bit less rice. My tendency is to clear my plate, but if it’s really rich I pick out the best bits and really enjoy them, and eat less rice and am less scrupulous about cleaning up every last mouthful of sauce!
Happy anniversary!

With the weight gain and loss thing, I’m determined to be positive. If I am 3 stone heavier than I was 3 years ago, I’m still 3 stone lighter than I was 6 years ago! I had a few years much lighter, so that was a good break for my body.

And all I need to do is eat a bit less than I would have if I weren’t making an effort. I don’t need to get it right every day. But if my instinct is to rage eat the whole bag of crisps, then move on to a tub of ice cream, well I’ll try and have crisps OR icecream, and count that as a win!

Allthegoodusernamesareused · 17/03/2025 08:27

Morning all! Just weighed in - 12st 12lb so 2lb off this week. I'm amazed, as thought I'd had a bad week.

wizzler · 17/03/2025 08:59

I’ve put on half a pond which is very frustrating as I thought I’d been pretty well controlled . I’m tempted to commiserate with chocolate but am holding firm at the moment !
congrats to everyone who lost

NorthernGirl1981 · 17/03/2025 09:16

I haven’t dared weigh myself today after an awful eating weekend 😬

I’m going to get back on the better eating and exercise today and just wait until next Monday to weigh myself again.

tealandteal · 17/03/2025 10:16

I lost nearly a kg (0.9) so am pleased with that. Well done everyone and keep going l!

NerrSnerr · 17/03/2025 11:13

I didn't weigh in this morning but will do this week. My eating still hasn't been 100% but have significantly been upped my exercise. I did 3 runs last week and did week one of Apple Fitness ultimate 8 week challenge along with a couple of yoga/ Pilates classes.

I now need to push to eat better and get some of this chunk off now. Need to be able to squeeze my arse into some summer shorts in the coming months so lots of hard work ahead.

ForAzureSeal · 17/03/2025 12:51

Down again but less again this week. To be expected but bit frustrated if I'm honest! On the plus side my energy levels and mood are definitely better and I think I look noticeably healthier.
Starting weight 90.7kg
Week 1 88.7
Week 2 87.8
Week 3 87.3
Waist measurements:
Starting 94cm
Week 1 93cm
Week 2 91cm
Week 3 91cm

Keep at it everyone! 💪

thenewaveragebear1983 · 17/03/2025 13:28

I’d put on this morning which I thoroughly deserved, 1.5lbs which puts me back up to 160lbs. Annoyed with myself but also it could have been worse..

I am back on fast800 today, I’m off work this week so no excuses and lots of exercise!

Bookaholic73 · 17/03/2025 15:45

What day is everyone weighing? I weigh on a Saturday morning, as I it keeps me on the straight and narrow on Friday nights 😂
I’m desperate to get under 11st.
I started at 11st 7lbs and 3 weeks later I’m 11st 4lb.
It’s been SLOW progress, but progress nonetheless.
I'm being extra careful this week as I want to try and lose 2lb instead of just 1lb.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 17/03/2025 16:29

@Bookaholic73 I weigh in a Monday morning as my official weigh in as I’m in a WhatsApp weighing group, it’s annoying because it’s the worst day of the week to weigh! I tend to do a couple of unofficial ‘check in’ weighs during the week as well

6strings1song · 17/03/2025 18:05

Just checking in to say I will weigh in on Wednesday. Ate out over the weekend due to relatives visiting and I know I have bloat from that.

I did do some measurements earlier in the week, I only do them once a month or so. Since the 29th January, I have lost 6cm off my bust, 4cm off my thighs and 2cm of both waist and hips. The 6cm off my bust is probably a combo of stopping breastfeeding and also fat loss. I definitely need some new bras!

6strings1song · 19/03/2025 08:16

Right, I am back...and I have "gained" 0.2lbs, and now at 12st 1lb. Oddly, this exact thing happened last month, in the 2-ish weeks after my period I plateaued up and down...then whoosh... a lot came off suddenly. Hoping that happens this month! I had a migraine yesterday (hormone related), so something is definitely going on.

Other than eating out for a pub lunch over the weekend, nothing else has changed last week. I even had a day of annual leave and successfully kept to my plan, no treats etc. I truly doubt I have eaten maintenance calories. Bodies are weird, especially for women.

I follow a couple of weight loss journies on YouTube etc. Men always seem to have steady losses week on week, women it goes up and down a lot.

Hartleyhare1206 · 19/03/2025 13:52

Just “accidentally” ate a salted caramel brownie….🤦‍♀️

myplace · 20/03/2025 18:48

So easily done, @Hartleyhare1206🤣

Weigh day tomorrow and I’m proud of myself. I was weighing twice a day every- first thing and after I’d been to the loo. I’ve now gone several months without weighing at all, and now three or so weeks weighing once a week.
So that’s a healthy change.

As for my eating, well I have had a couple of days where I forgot to log, or had something hard to work out. So tomorrow may not be a big loss. But that’s ok. I’m still in a healthier place, mentally.

myplace · 20/03/2025 18:53

Also, I realised that actually most people don’t need to count and log every mouthful.

What most people need to do is cut out 500cals a day (to lose a pound a week, if I remember correctly).
So if like many people you are fairly structured in how you eat- a latte on the way in to work, a biscuit at 11am, two slices of toast for breakfast- you just need to identify 500 clad of things to take out. Just count the 500!

No good for me of course, because there is no normal day. There were restricting days and binges. Sigh. No structure at all, except ‘try not to eat, try not to eat, try not to… fuck it, demolish those biscuits and then eat dinner as usual so no one knows what you did.’

NerrSnerr · 21/03/2025 07:01

I'm still here. Not a huge change in my weight but really doing quite a lot of exercise. Slowly increasing my runs and I plan to do park run next week (would love to do it tomorrow but my daughter has a sports comp). Really hoping to see a whoosh in the weight as I have been slowly getting better.

NorthernGirl1981 · 21/03/2025 07:47

Weigh in today : a little more loss!

I had the best feeling yesterday when I met up with a friend yesterday that I hadn’t seen for a few months and as soon as I took my coat off she said, “Have you lost some weight?!” 🤣

Although I’m glad I’m losing weight for my own personal reasons, it’s always the icing on the cake when other people start to notice!

So 8.5lbs down in just over 4 weeks. I’m happy with that 🥳

myplace · 21/03/2025 09:43

That’s awesome, @NorthernGirl1981! @NerrSnerrit feels like a long road sometimes, but it’s the downward trend that counts.

In my case, a downward trend is a double victory- I’ve stopped putting it on, and lost a little! Result!
250g so not a lot but enough.

Incakewetrust · 22/03/2025 00:40

currently 12lbs down in 3 weeks!! 😁 lots of walking and calorie counting.
I had a cheat day today and had approximately 5.9 million calories so I’m expecting I will have gained it all back when I weigh myself tomorrow 😂

PrincessPeache · 22/03/2025 11:42

Weighed in at 87.5kg this morning!

last July I was 135kg. Lost 45 on mounjaro by the New Year, and have pretty much stayed there since deciding to come of MJ. I had some health difficulties and wanted to focus on maintenance and my health for a little while before losing any more. Last week I decided it was time to really get back on it and am now 2.5kg down after starting intermittent fasting. My eating window is from around 12-5pm (starting a bit earlier some days if I fancy it) but I am usually having a chicken breast and some roasted veg for lunch and then some fruit a couple of hours later, so my window is basically always closed by about 3pm so I don’t mind if I start a bit earlier some days. I’ve also switched to soya milk in tea and coffee due to gallbladder attacks.

Today because I’m heading out at midday I’ve just done myself a large chicken breast (sliced) in the air fryer with half a red pepper, some mushrooms and some courgette, followed by a banana. Ive got a plum and a pear in my bag to eat whilst I’m out if I fancy it, and then I might try for a 48 hour fast…

Hartleyhare1206 · 22/03/2025 12:00

Weighed in today after the Brownie “snaccident” and an 1.4lbs down (16.6lbs in total) which I’m very happy with.

Seeing friends for pizza takeway later so need to behave well for the rest of the week after that!

Well done to everyone that’s lost this week, and well done to @NerrSnerr for building up that exercise - such a great achievement xx

ForAzureSeal · 24/03/2025 15:43

Down again but by less again this week! Have lost in waist measurement though which feels good.
Starting weight 90.7kg
Week 1 88.7
Week 2 87.8
Week 3 87.3
Week 4 87
Waist measurements:
Starting 94cm
Week 1 93cm
Week 2 91cm
Week 3 91cm
Week 4 90cm

Keep at it everyone! 💪

NorthernGirl1981 · 24/03/2025 16:09

I haven’t weighed myself today and don’t plan on doing it for a while either 🤣

Over the last 3 days it has been my dad’s and my son’s birthdays and I have eaten way, way too much naughty stuff.

I feel so disappointed in myself but there were just cakes, sweets and biscuits everywhere, as well as going out for two family birthday meals.

So I’m now back on track and I will weigh myself next Monday and use that reading to be my new “Starting Weight” 🤣

myplace · 24/03/2025 21:43

Every day a fresh start!
I’ve had a wobble today. Struggled not to weigh in, but managed to resist. Just overate slightly. Probably not drastic, but not ideal. I have a meal out on Thursday so want to make a head start before that!
