Any serial diet failers want to give it another go?

After all, it is Monday and Mondays are a good diet starting day!

I've pretty much hit rock bottom and am really down that I can't seem to sort myself out.

There have been many failed attempts where I lose a few pounds then feel pleased with myself so I scoff loads of chocolate to celebrate my loss. Rinse and repeat.

I am now 12st 7, I weighed myself first thing.

Anyone want to give it another go?

Really struggling not weighed for weeks, keep just grabbing food with no thought just carless eating. Does peri menopause affect weight loss and hunger?

Really worried the 3 stone I have lost is going to plie back on with no thought.

Started my period yesterday so I don’t bother with the scales this week as the scales will inevitably go up 3-5 pounds which will drop off once my period is over.

Still being mindful of what I eat and thankfully my pre-period sweet cravings weren’t that bad this time. Yesterday I was planning to have frozen pizza as I was feeling tired but my body wanted salmon and veg so I listened to it and made that in the air fryer with some sweet potato!

I have been on track for a week, have gone low carb and have lost 6lbs since last Saturday. I’m now finally feeling motivated to stick with eating well. I have been looking at the clothes that I almost fit into and very motivated to get the next bit off so I can wear some ‘new’ clothes.

The heatwave has really motivated me too, I look so frumpy in my summer clothes- I’m like a small round barrel so nothing looks nice so hoping to change that as the summer moves on.

Hi All,

Didnt post last week but had a slightly depressing week of STS. Down to a mixture of factors so tried to just stay focussed and on track as much as I could (although a pre planned, and group meal out that involved lots of carbs and a massive slice of double chocolate torte and icecream made that tricky!)

Anyway, had a bit of a “woosh” and am down 2.4lbs this week, weighing in at 13st 7lbs, and down 25lbs in total now.

Hope you’ve all had a positive and healthy week, and enjoy a sunshine filled weekend 😊😊

Hi all am traying to improve my weekend eating. Traying to make sure that I don't over eat on weekends. Big test for me today and tommorow. Hope i don't mess up.

I was losing hope for a while as my weight loss seems to have stalled this year but then I remind myself I have lost 30+ pounds in the last couple of years. Although it took a long while, and involved a lot of yo-yoing, I did get there in the end. Imagine if I’d given up then every time my weight went back up.

It’s now only a stone to go before I’m at a healthy BMI, so there’s plenty reason to keep going.

So this week my plan is to snack less, reach 7K steps daily and maybe do a hike on Saturday.

I bought this biscuit dispenser over the weekend which has tiny coffee shop type biscuits. Each contain 16 calories. Even if I have 5 of them with my cup of morning coffee and then another 5 with evening tea it’s only 160 calories. Other than that I’m trying to cut snacks out entirely and eat 2 meals a day.

@Loseitrr 30lbs is such an achievement - your perseverance is very impressive. As is your tiny biscuit machine!!

Another 1lb for me this week. Happy with that. Feeling a bit “meh” this week and feel I’m going to have to dig deep to stay motivated/on track though so hoping it doesn’t all go tits up😂🤦‍♀️

Have a good weekend everyone xx

Thanks so much @Hartleyhare1206
I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves how far we have come towards a goal and not just think of how much more we have left to achieve.

It’s just a disposable dispenser, and I’m happy to report the biscuits are very tasty indeed 😆

Well done on losing another pound, it’s good when the scales are moving - in the right direction!

Have a lovely weekend too and good luck with staying on track - you’ve got this 💪

ETA: also I’ve joined the gym again despite my long term leg injury. I’m hoping to get down there on Monday morning as it’s my day off, so I can take my time and do quite a slow but long workout and get used to the machines again.

Wise words @Loseitrr 🥰🥰🥰

NorthernGirl1981 · 18/05/2025 10:35

I weighed myself today and although my weight loss has really slowed at least it’s still going in the right direction.

I’m starting to feel healthier, people are started to comment that I look slimmer and my clothes are starting to feel loose, and all that matters more than what numbers are on the scale.

I’ve lost 19lbs now (1st 5lbs) in three months and I’m slowly heading towards my goal weight and hoping that in two months I will be there 🤞

Loseitrr · 20/05/2025 08:49

How’s everyone doing?

Made a few changes recently, I’m using my new scales which also estimate body fat, body water, protein etc. It appears I’m low in protein so I’m thinking of adding a protein powder to my smoothie although I’m not keen on protein powder/bars etc.

I’m now recording my weight in Kg as I find it more precise and I’ve went from 67.40kg to 65.80 (using the same scales) in the last 9 days. I’m aiming to reach 64kg by end of next month.

I’m doing 18:6 IF so my eating window is from around 2pm to 8pm.

Also downloaded the Yuka app which reviews food (and beauty) items for their health and nutrition values as I’m trying to reduce UPFs and food nasties they add to some seemingly healthy products.
