Today I've had half an apple, 2 Ryvitas with Philadelphia Lite, and trying to think what to have for tea - any suggestions?

iota · 10/01/2005 16:24

Cod I swim underwater - have races with ds1- but then I am a 46 yr old with a sad baggy 11.8 stone body, so why would I worry about my hair? And as for mascara - forget it

So huge that I daren't jump in the water Cod, have visions of self as in Peter Kay ad where he divebombs into the pool and all the judges get wet.
Another resolution - to fit into wetsuit again in time for holiday to Florida in May - I would love to go scubadiving again, SIL can look after DD.

Last time will mention any aquatic topic today......

Ok, so what is the cod's answer to the mid-afternoon munchies? Does your willpower go off for a tea break around this time? Or is it just me?

nasa · 10/01/2005 17:28

cod lol re: swimming thread, just returned to have a peek and can't believe you ended up apologising!! FWIW I thought you meant the beehive type folk too!

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 10/01/2005 17:29

bowl porridge made with s/skimmed milk and teaspoon maple syrup

3 x apricots

bowl lentil and veg soup, an oatcake

bite of sausage roll and spoon of sweetcorn
pot plain bio yogurt

tonight: roast chicken and baked potato for dh, lots of green veg, I will have skinless portion with green veg, no tatty. Prob another pot plain bio yog.

It seems loads - wonder if I'll lose this week too?

dawnie1 · 10/01/2005 18:18

Is red wine or white wine higher in calories? I could quite easily cut out foods but definately couldn't cut out wine totally - a girl needs some pleasures. Are spirits high in calories - I know that beer/lager is bad in terms of beer belly.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 10/01/2005 18:19

Ha ha at the idea of mn group pmt, haven't seen swim thread, is there a scrap? Tortoiseshell, you're not eating enough imo, you can lose weight on 1,200 - 1,500 calories a day. If you have loads less than that you'll just give it up v quickly IME. Fruit, a few nuts, snack a jacks as a snack? Prawns?

Me today:

Toast, scrape olive spread and marmite
2 small apples
handful grapes
beefless bolognase (mostly veg)
far too many handfuls of savoury snack a jack red pepper things
a few slices of rare roast beef (don't know how much, not good, hope it was under 100g, think so)
50g smoked salmon
small box raisins
1 caramel snack a jack

and have walked at least 2 miles. I realise one the things I do is eat standing up, I was sooo starving having cooked supper for 3 other people that I stood and ate the beef pretty much with my head in the fridge and that doesn't make for restraint! Any tips, wise ones?

lowcalCOD · 10/01/2005 18:21

Hmm no idea you could have ahd beef and veg no spuds

oh dear...well i haven't really started yet as children only went back to school today!! (actually i haven't started at all!!!)

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 10/01/2005 18:34

Enid, because I was cooking for those 3 (dp, dd, ds) and I didn't know what I wanted except that I knew I wasn't going to have fried eggy bread, which is what they wanted. Hence put head in fridge and ate slices of cold rare roast beef. I think that's me done for today though and it's probably not too bad. I didn't have any potatoes, that list really is it for the day and no booze again so we'll see on Weds when I weigh myself.
