Too depressed to post starting weight.
Target to lose 3 stones
have lost 2lb in one week
weaknesses:
Opening the cupboard doors at 5pm and thinking 'I am STARVING'
Wine
Stella Artois
Having 'just one glass' of either of above and then craving junk food

resolutions:
To eat porridge every morning
To eat fruit or veg sticks mid sfternoon so I don't snack before dinner is ready.
To pack in the booze during the week and not go crazy at the weekend

gingerbear · 10/01/2005 13:29

went 'crazy' at the weekend

lowcalCOD · 10/01/2005 13:30

TONS.

I am a good cook and I love food - constantly experimenting with recipes and I just rustled up little cakes etc with the girls whenever I felt like it. Also had seconds, thirds what have you and drank half a bottle of red wine a night. Would never refuse biscuits/cakes etc.

Greedy, basically. But quite nice and motherly with it.

gingerbear · 10/01/2005 13:34

Today I have had:

1 slice toast and marmite
1 pear
1 banana
dinner will be low fat vege chilli (from my low fat cookbook) + Brown rice

Am going to do what Hula does and save up my points for weekend.

gingerbear · 10/01/2005 13:35

thank you Cod for those words of comfort and support

flatmouse · 10/01/2005 13:37

well have finally finished chomping my way through a bucket of salad - it's hard work - should get a bonus treat for doing that
now have to attempt to last out until dinner time.

nasa · 10/01/2005 13:38

today I have had
bowl of rice krispies
handful of sunflower seeds and apple
hard boiled egg
for tea will have salad with parma ham and teeny tiny bit of dressing.

I am on penance for my disgraceful weight increase of last week

puddle · 10/01/2005 13:38

Aw Gingerbear I do that - pick at food while making the kids tea (if I'm eating with DP later). During December I also got into the habit of festively pour myself a glass of wine and sit and sip while kids eat if DP not home - that means starting drinking at 5.30 IN THE WEEK

My resolutions
No drinking in the week (or at all for rest of the month)
No chocolate
Less wheat - give up bread and try and eat more rice, couscous etc.
Wholewheat pasta only (and in moderation)
I am allowing myself the odd baked potato tho.

Kittypickle · 10/01/2005 13:38

Kittypickle, not posting my weight but have about 5 stone to lose. Weakness -pretty much everything.

Don't know how much I've lost, will find out on Wednesday. Been OK apart from very bad day on Saturday. For the last 2 days I've been doing WW's No Count and eating low GI foods. Found it much easier to control snacking doing it that way and I'm not missing bread which is a miracle.

nasa · 10/01/2005 13:39

puddle LOL I did that too - "oh well, it is Christmas!" makes bedtimes easier!

Hulababy · 10/01/2005 13:39

Today so far:

Apple (0.5 points)
WW veggie soup (1.5 points
Milk allowance (1 point)
Diet coke (0 points)

Dinner will be Tuna steaks, rice, steamed spinach, leek and peas - so all low in points.

After Dh finishes work we are off to the gym pool - with DD. So hope to get a few lengths in there. But my arms are killing me from yesterday's workout already!

puddle · 10/01/2005 13:39

Enid - am so pleased to hear I'm not the only one on half a bottle of red a night!

flatmouse · 10/01/2005 13:41

How do you all manage to eat so little?
Looking at what you've all been eating - i'd be absolutely STARVING by now and raiding all sorts of naughty food.

puddle · 10/01/2005 13:42

Kittypickle - what are GI foods? Are they complex carbs?
I love your name by the way - funnily enough it's one of dd's nicknames

Hulababy · 10/01/2005 13:44

Flatmouse - I do get really hungry by dinner time. But after a week I think my body is getting used to less food. I am not as hungry as I was last week.

gingerbear · 10/01/2005 13:51

Oh, I forgot to mention about the party I went to on Fri night - friend's 40th birthday. Did lots of 'Cumberland Square 8' and 'Strip the Willow'. (was a Cedilidh)
But also consumed vat of red wine (no slimline vodka and tonic on offer as do was in village hall - BYO booze)

tentunturq · 10/01/2005 14:10

Was 10stone
Now 9.9ish after bit of a blip this weekend but am very proud to have kept off the alcohol for 8 days.
