Don't forget me off the register - 16? Don't know what number we were up to. Just about to have tea - so far today have had satsuma, bowl of potato and leek soup, (and was very good and didn't have any bread ), and am going to have 2 Ryvita, Philadelphia Lite, Smoked Salmon, Carrot Sticks and Satsuma for tea.

Blossomhill · 11/01/2005 20:34

coddy - cous cous is 200 calories

Went to the gym and weighed myself.
The instructor said that as I am 5"9' and weigh 10st 3lbs he wouldn't encourage me to lose anymore but I said I still think I need to lose half a stone. He said that if I am doing weights that I will put on weight as muscle weighs more than fat. He has given me a sheet to measure myself all over as he said it is a better way of monitoring.
I am still dieting though but am more concerned with toning then the actual weight loss, if you get what I mean!

Blossomhill · 11/01/2005 20:35

Tortoiseshell - you must be starving!

emmaTooMuchGrub · 11/01/2005 20:41

What are the numbers you're all quoting?

is it WW?

tortoiseshell · 11/01/2005 20:48

blossom - not really, but I do like to 'kick start' things iykwim. Otherwise I tend to drift in and out of good intentions!

GreatBigFatHeiferEnid · 11/01/2005 21:07

18? who knows
Slice wholemeal bread/poached egg for breakfast.
Stirfy-onion/broccoli/tomato/pepper + 2 tbsp left over rice and soy sauce
pot roast pork, salad, jacket pot with hemp oil.
low fat yog.
Any GI/carb questions-ask me-have every low carb diet book under the sun-have been compulsive buying for years looking for the one where you can eat white bread and chocolate-not found it yet! Although small amounts dark choc ok with Montignac, and carbohydrates addicts diet you can eat all you like for 30mins once a day-not dared that one

chocfreeclary · 11/01/2005 23:44

ahh coddy i had gov mtg yesterday with rumbling tummy too (6.30-8.30,not good).
Good day today, picked at buffet in boardroom with top MD at lunch, mainly ate one sandwich (tiny) and lots of grapes plus all the salad garnish! Oh and one mini samosa (bad). Lots of water tho, at least 1.5 litres just at lunchtime.
PM: grilled lamb and leeks and broc and pasta. Small helping which i always find helps!

puddle · 12/01/2005 09:30

This is helping me, although I feel that I'm getting a bit obsessive. No wine last night again! So yesterday I had

Bowl muesli
Marmite rice cake
Slamoon cous cous and vegs
Veg stew and brown rice
Grapes
Plus lots of water and hot water with lemon. Am feeling really zippy today and skin looks better too.

On the downside`I dreamed of chocolate last night.

Am going to the gym this morning with friend (working from home so having early lunch hour) - will weigh in and report back later. Stomach muscles still killing me from sits ups on Sunday.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 12/01/2005 09:35

Puddle, I'm obsessed too but it's the only way I can do it. This virtual support group is really helping me. I've finished French Women don't get fat now. Hmm, yep, Enid, it's just eat less of nice things and exercise more, as we knew. Obvious innit! But the French paradox does exist and is a well known phenomenon.

puddle · 12/01/2005 09:39

WWW - I think I'm the same. I do have a slightly addictive personality - am definately a person who can't 'just have one'- always have to finish packet/bottle. I find it easier to have none and be quite evangelical about it all.

lowcalCOD · 12/01/2005 09:53

well done all except enid! How could you think chips woudl help?

POrker! rememebr no one can lose wiehgt for you its now or never.

Life is trying to sabotage my diet - yesterday my washing machine broke and dh had his wallet nicked and someone went on a spending spree whilst he was in the gym.

We had a very stressful evening of phone calls trying to sort it out and felt forced to open a bottle of wine.

At least I will get some exercise today, hand washing the contents of the washing machine in the bath. Better go and start now

lowcalCOD · 12/01/2005 10:16
