Yes!!

I couldn't fit into my summer clothes.

Trying Fast 800 for a quick wins to motivate me.

No alcohol. Strength training.

The alternative of getting fatter and drinking too much can't happen.

Blarn · 02/09/2024 19:15

OK, I did have two small chocolate chip biscuits, a slice of spelt bread from the bakers and four dark chocolate buttons. The buttons were to make cornflake cakes with dd1 but dh ate nearly all the pack! So I ate them with dc.

Jeds55 · 02/09/2024 20:59

Start weight - 10st 5.6

Ate between 12 and 8pm

Off tp a good start food wise but zero exercise - I work a long day on a Monday so there's no time

Back to school runs tmrw so at least will get some steps in then will attempt a run on Weds

Day 1 done.

Woke up at 4 am with jet lag so fasted until 10 am when I had Weetabix. Lunch was an egg and bacon salad and dinner salmon and veg.

I get post dinner sugar craving but have made a rule to take my dogs out straight away so no time to grab a biscuit and post walk the craving has gone.

Morning swim planned tomorrow and working in the office so already have my meals planned so no cheating.

Good morning everyone

Starting weight today: 79kg. This is actually 3kg less than when this thread started mid-August so I'm pleased with that.

Goal weight by October half term: 75kg.

Goal weight by Christmas: 70kg.

I'm especially looking forward to wearing many of my nice clothes again. I was looking in the wardrobe this morning and thinking how I only use about 20% of what is in there now.

Off for a walk before the rest of the household wakes up!

Yes that definitely resonates with me. I have so many lovely clothes and wear scruffs that fit because I am fat. Would be very happy if I matched your weight loss schedule! I am a similar weight and need to lose 10-12kg total.

rhywlodes · 02/09/2024 22:26

Similar age and goals to a lot of you, am 80 kilos (over 12.5 stone) which is heavier than I've ever been!
Similar to pps, finding weight harder to shift and over the summer I've realised how many of my clothes are too tight.
Started today, doing 16 8.
Have the Fast 800 recipe book coming tomorrow.
I've downloaded the timetable for the 28 day pilates challenge but so far have only done the warm up!
i find it hard to fit exercise into my day but have walked briskly to a meeting and then to the shop this evening.
Cutting right down on carbs and alcohol (would like to say cutting out booze but that's probably not realistic).
Have managed to drink 2 litres of water.
Had mixed salad and humous for lunch and green veg thai soup for tea.

Thank you for this thread!

First day yesterday.

Protein shake thing at about midday followed by Greek yoghurt with seeds and nuts.

Dinner was a fair sized piece of chicken with lots of salad.

Still not enough protein though. I think I need 100g a day if I'm to attempt strength training to rebuild muscle, does anybody else track protein?

JugglingMummyof2 · 03/09/2024 08:35

Day 3 and 143.4lbs so just over 1.5lbs so far. If only it all would come off so quickly.

fudgecat · 03/09/2024 09:37

Hi, back from holiday and ready to start shifting some weight.
Starting weight
71.9 kg/11st 4lb
Goal
60kg / 9st 6lb

Peae · 03/09/2024 10:15

I don’t think you need to track protein unless you’re looking at bodybuilding. This surprised me but I think it’s the Zoe podcast that has had some content on this recently.

MamaDollyorJesus · 03/09/2024 11:44

@GogAndMagog I'm really bad at getting enough protein during the day. I find swapping out standard for higher protein things like flatbreads, yoghurts etc helps but some days it's still not enough

Warmfeet · 03/09/2024 11:55

Didn't notice the date so will start tomorrow. Got ideally 15kg to lose in total.

Sunnysunn · 03/09/2024 15:20

Joining today with a starting weight of 76kg
Target weight is 63-66kg

Peae · 03/09/2024 19:24

Happy with today. 33 hour fast, 13k steps (so far) and no sugar. Definitely easier to manage all of this when busy at work and the weather is conducive to a walking commute!

I am hopeful of reaching my October holiday goal of breaking the next stone barrier.

JugglingMummyof2 · 04/09/2024 07:57

Gosh that's a hardcore fast @Peae and a decent number of steps too.
Day 4 and 142.4lbs this morning which is just over 2.5lbs.
It is very motivational when the weight drops off so easily in the first few days though I know it will get sticky soon.
I will up the water today and try and get out for a walk too.

Spondoolie · 04/09/2024 08:12

Please can I join?
47
82kg
life long between 10 and 13 stone and want to nail it once and for all

used to be great at morning walks now can’t get my ass out of bed

absolutely hate being this size. Feel achy and cumbersome

Jeds55 · 04/09/2024 09:14

Good morning all,
2 days in. Have woken up bloody starving today. 3rd coffee down (do have oat milk in it so not a true fast but cannot function without it so needs must!)
Walk to school and back.
Crap sleep due to youngest waking up numerous times
Now got almost 3 hours until csn eat. May adjust it to 11 today, will see

Hope everyone has a good day

PussInBin20 · 04/09/2024 09:31

I keep seeing people are using oat milk - is this less calorific than semi skimmed cows milk?

Blosssom · 04/09/2024 10:58

How's everyone doing?

@Jeds55 I am with you and bloody starving.

I seem to have settled on a no breakfast, egg based lunch and small family dinner routine, no snacks, but I'm delirious with hunger. Joy!

Blosssom · 04/09/2024 11:01

@Peae a 33 hour fast?! How did you manage it?

Peae · 04/09/2024 11:11

I had a cooked breakfast on Monday and then a veggie chilli on Tuesday.

It’s something I’ve worked up to, as I’ve enjoyed the benefits of fasting. Started with 16:8, adding more fibre and whole foods to my diet and then quitting chocolate and biscuits and snacking in general. OMAD has felt like a natural progression. I think quitting sugar has been the key; I just don’t feel unbearably hungry.

Blarn · 04/09/2024 11:27

I just really like the taste in coffee.

I had coffee until lunch yesterday when I ate a whole burrata. And I feel no shame!

Dinner was a piece of home made foccaccia, a couple of slices of parma ham and artichoke, spinach, cannellini beans with a bit of cheddar grated on top. Was very nice. Had two ciders which I didn't really enjoy but am definitely drinking less over the last few weeks.

Today I had a can of chilled coffee on the way to taking dc to school so quite a sugary start, and another slice of foccaccia and some kefir yoghurt with three mini weetabix over. I need to work on upping vegetables.

Jeds55 · 04/09/2024 11:52

@PussInBin20 I think it's actually got more calories but like @Blarn I really like the taste in coffee and I'm trying to eat less animal products (already a vegetarian) Mind, I'm saying this while eating cheese

Saschka · 04/09/2024 12:34

First “proper” weigh in (scales didn’t move house with me) - 73kg, target 65kg.

Went to the gym today - starting C25K (previously ran half marathons, so I’ve got a long way to go!)

StewardsEnquiry · 04/09/2024 15:32

I had a mid week weigh in this morning.

10st 7.7 so I've lost about 7lb (starting weight was just over 11st). Obviously really pleased with such a quick start and this means I only have about 10lb left to go. I'm sure the rest won't come off as quickly!

I feel a bit better though. I'm not as bloated as I was and I think my spare tyre is reducing.
