Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone is starting the BodySlims 10 week program on the 24th of April. Will be nice to form a small group here to support each other x

Me!!! A bit nervous but a girl on work had great results so hopefully it works for me! About 10 lbs I’d love to lose

LoveShopping25 · 14/04/2024 06:35

Ah amazing!! Shall keep this post going for encouragement? I have a lot more to loose, at least 20lbs but don’t want to put too much pressure. Will have to aim high though 🤣
A lot of people do few cycles to get their ultimate goal I think

Yes sounds great, thank you! I saw a few people post on another thread that they are gonna do April so hopefully they find this one!

LoveShopping25 · 14/04/2024 15:15

Super. There is a talk by Gerard this evening I think. I got an email the other day.

Me too - I'm away for week 10 so starting tomorrow to get a headstart. I did the Jan program and managed 6 weeks. It is great, I definitely got too settled in the last month or so and stopped the planning etc that you need to

LoveShopping25 · 15/04/2024 03:49

Ah welcome @midnights92 . That’s super good as you want yo get the most out of it I guess.
if you don’t mind me asking why did you stop at week 6 and how much did you loose?
I am worried about not getting my walks in…everything is just so busy x

Hi All,
Delighted to find this thread. I too am on the April programme. Have a few communions, birthdays and a weekend away during it but determined to do it as it's only a few days in total. I've been counting calories or points all my life and loosing and gaining the same 7-10 pounds. Hopefully Ger will fix my mind as I think that's where the issue is... I'd love to loose a stone. I'm generally a size 8 but all my clothes are too tight so the goal is to get back comfortably into all of my clothes.
Really looking forward to catching up with you all during the process :-) I'm trying to cut back and get into some sort of routine before 17th!!

@Coco2023 feel the same!

great there are a few more hopefully we can motivate each other!

ConcussedPigeon · 19/04/2024 21:04

Hello! I’m in the April cohort too - total newbie and have been reading everything today. Have you all had your login emails?

I’ve been losing and gaining the same 2/3 stone since my twenties, and want to keep it off this time. Done all the usual skimming groups, so hoping Ger gets in my head.

I also have meals out, days out planned - but will aim to make the best choices I can.

Best of luck!

LoveShopping25 · 20/04/2024 13:08

Yes I have received the introductory email. Still yet to go through everything properly. Main thing is to get the right stuff in the weekly shopping I guess although the 3/2 plan makes it easy.
Looking forward to starting the program although nervous too X

How are everyone planning to do their walks?

Cillmantain123 · 20/04/2024 14:29

Hello to all
I have signed up too and have 3 stone to lose unfortunately
Looking forward to it

LeftWhisker · 22/04/2024 16:29

I just signed up as well. There was an email last night to those of us on a waiting a list that 4pm today there will be few more spaces available.
I started today anyway with my lunchtime walk. I used to walk more in the past so kind of know what I need doing. I have perfect 30 min walk across the fields and the same back. I can listen to my books, spme French lessons or just enjoy the peace out there.
Challenge as always is going to be to have lunch prepared so that I can do my walk.

I need to get my head round food planning:
1/ prep for lunches
2/ weighing food and counting calories and keepong track of them

However, I watched this video and feel very energised ahead of Thursday.

Thanks for starting this thread. You inspired me to join this program @LoveShopping25 💜

Im also on it. Did the last programme and going again.

LeftWhisker · 22/04/2024 23:22

@Focalpoint what was your biggest take away from the program so far?

Focalpoint · 22/04/2024 23:30

It is really hard to summarise what it does. But take it day at a time, do what you are supposed to do every day. It is only 10 weeks. Your confidence builds as you go along. He gets in your head and changes how you think.

horseyhorseydonotstop · 22/04/2024 23:32

Yes I have read the introductory email. Still yet to go through everything.
Looking forward to starting the program although nervous too X
Have a lot to lose. Hope this will be a kickstart

LoveShopping25 · 24/04/2024 16:00

Hey all, hoping everyone has their logins etc.
I am looking forward to it!! My calories are 1400. My only worry is fitting in the walks.
Do we count coffee and tea? Especially if just a splash of milk? Like 25 mls or so

OP posts:
Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 25/04/2024 07:12

Morning!
also got all emails yesterday and watched them (well listened to some on my walks).
only 1200 cals for me which is very low; I started yesterday and had to really watch to stay within.
yes I think you have to count everything - if you measure it the first time and calculate you’ll know from then on. It’ll just take us a while to get used to. Being aware of calories is a first for me and a bit of an eye opener so far!!!

good luck

let’s do this!!!!

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 26/04/2024 06:55

How’s everyone getting on so far? Funding the walks fine (I’d do that most nights anyway) but sticking with in cals is taking preplanning!

LeftWhisker · 26/04/2024 17:03

It has been easier for me because only of the things I need to get right are calories.
I think more ing and evening videos are great cues, ticking off tasks as well. I need to listen to the second part of the big seminar tonight before it disappears.
I like his ma tre - give it 100% for 10 weeks. Seems doable now the days are longer.
