Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone is starting the BodySlims 10 week program on the 24th of April. Will be nice to form a small group here to support each other x

Well done to all.
I didn't lose anything but I am pleased as I was on holidays for the first 4 days. I did walk every day and made sensible food choices. However it was a celebration for my husband and I so I did have wine and enjoyed it .
I put up 4 lbs and then lost it when I stuck to it 100%.
It's much easier to do it 100 % than doing your own version

horseyhorseydonotstop · 03/05/2024 09:21

I didn’t realise I was eating so much before. I made out an average days calories pre body slims and was over 2800 🙈. I think the programme is actually making me think about my choices before I eat as opposed to grabbing the easy option. I haven’t managed many full walks - not sure I am meant to - headed out yesterday with a spring in my step, slipped fell in my arse and banked my head off a wall! Bruised and tender today so will be taking it slowly luckily only injured my pride 😂.

LeftWhisker · 03/05/2024 10:11

@horseyhorseydonotstop
This is my take on oir walks. The idea of 60 min walk is that after about 20 min or so your body starts using up energy stored in your muscles. It is low intensity exercise etc. Kind of obvious but all elements of it is I think to build good habit of feeding ID, your inner child with positive image - the 5 min gratitude we should be practicing and the positive image of where we are heading. For mental health more than anything else. Finding the time to prioritise yourself is another habit it helps to build. All good elements of healthy life all.of us are hoping for.

horseyhorseydonotstop · 03/05/2024 18:49

@LeftWhisker absolutely - its all mindset. It’s funny pre the programme would have walked an hour most days just one of those weeks between sick children, appointments, trips and falls something has happened everyday to curtail it. Fingers crossed back to routine from now on

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 07/05/2024 22:54

Good luck tomorrow in the weigh in all!

LeftWhisker · 08/05/2024 16:51

I am quite happy with 3.5 lb this week. That is 7.5 lb in 2 weeks. I am beginning to see changes in my behaviour re: calorie counting. It makes all the difference at the moment. We went to the English Heritage property on Monday. I just had soup by itself, didn't get tempted by anything else. I am staying away from coffee too, it interferes with my sleep I believe.
I never thought i can sustain 1200 cal/day for 2 weeks!

How are you all doing?

ConcussedPigeon · 08/05/2024 17:44

Well done @LeftWhisker!

I lost 3.5 too, total of 6 now. Very pleased as I had a couple of social events that I could mindfully navigate.

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 08/05/2024 19:35

Down just 1 today which is a bit disappointing as I’ve stuck to it but it means I’ve maintained my 8 from last week and overall down 9 which I’m delighted with.
feel very motivated to keep going as I can see a difference in clothes already.

well done @ConcussedPigeon and @LeftWhisker - great results for you both 💪

LeftWhisker · 08/05/2024 19:57

@Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius this is what Ger was talking about. It is a total. Not individual results what counts. Also if you did yoir best this is what you should congratulate yourself.
I like the mental side of this program. It is very sensible and can extend to other areas of our life.
All.spunds obvious but unless I think about it in a context of very concrete tasks it' easily forgotten.

LeftWhisker · 08/05/2024 20:01

@ConcussedPigeon
Well done for keeping your resolution during those social events! It's very hard.

LoveShopping25 · 08/05/2024 20:14

Well done all. I am down 1.5lbs. Not entirely happy with it either but know that I have not been doing everything like Ger says.
Is everyone doing the walk every single day? I only seem to manage 3 days per week.

OP posts:
Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 08/05/2024 20:49

1.5 is good on top of last weeks loss @LoveShopping25 - all going in the right direction

yes I walk for an hour every day. I normally get a half hour stroll at lunch as well. Would have been doing that anyway so not a huge change for me.

ConcussedPigeon · 08/05/2024 22:11

Well done all. I do an hour at least a day, but (not a big butt hopefully!) but…last week I was travelling for work, in meetings and out the house for 16 hours one day, and couldn’t physically fit it in. Another day I had to travel 5 round hours for a social event - so again, couldn’t fit it in, although I got loads of steps in. And today, I only managed 45 minutes as I met someone on the walk who wanted to chat, then I had to dash back for a meeting.

I’m doing my best, given that life happens.

Happymama24 · 09/05/2024 23:31

Hi everyone, well done on weight loss! I'm down 3lbs this week. So 8lbs over the 2 weeks.. I went out for dinner for my husband's birthday tonight. Tried to choose wisely but still had a little dessert. Straight back into it tomorrow

Focalpoint · 10/05/2024 06:43

Down 2, 6lb in total so far and 30 since starting bodyslims on 17 Jan.

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 12/05/2024 07:59

How’s everyone finding it? Am starting to get more used to calorie counting now and feel my appetite isn’t as big as it was. I’m def eating more fruit and veg that previously and not missing wine as much as I expected. Also really seeing the difference in clothes which is a great motivator!
Though I have a lot on in June so hopefully I can stay on track then!

Happymama24 · 13/05/2024 16:48

@TThisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius
Not going too bad here. I'm starting to really enjoy the walks and have managed every day except 1 since starting. Not sure how the weight loss will be this week but my clothes do feel a bit looser
I'm trying to have no snacks and only the 3 meals a day

LeftWhisker · 14/05/2024 13:37

Last week is a write off. I had a cold and couldn't stop myself from carbs. I will be lucky to get the same weight this week. But I am back on it since yesterday and in a good mind frame. This week's Seminar is very good. I am listening to it again. It is true that falling asleep to the night whispers help!

ConcussedPigeon · 14/05/2024 17:28

Hope you’re feeling better @LeftWhisker. I always think it’s best to listen to your body when you’re ill.

Hoping tomorrow’s weigh in goes well for everyone!

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 15/05/2024 07:19

Down another 4 this week- I’m actually at the target I set at the outset (down 13). It seemed quite easy; fair play to the program!
going to go for a bit more to give me leeway but delighted!!

best of luck everyone else this morning!

LeftWhisker · 15/05/2024 08:31

Inevitable +1.2lb but I am again on track with my habits so I should be OK next week.

Focalpoint · 15/05/2024 08:32

Down 1lb so 7 in 3 weeks which is great!
