I can feel myself getting fed up of such limited progress
/virtual hug. I know precisely how you feel! I have been there, the scales can be a real motivation killer when they don't say what you want them to.
You can't control the scales, don't try to - they will screw with your head. You can control what you eat, so focus on that. 10kg of fat is 70,000 stored calories. You can lose it by having an average calorie deficit of 1000 calories a day for 70 days (10 weeks), or 700 a day for 100 days, or 500 a day for 140 days, 20 weeks. You get the idea, the point is its just maths. Maths and being kind enough to yourself to know that you are worth taking care of.
You already weigh more than 5 stone less than I do, so if we ate the same things my body would have a bigger calorie deficit and burn more fat than yours would. So don't let anyone else's results get you down. Creating your calorie deficit is harder and consequently burning fat is slower. Easier said than done I know but try to stop thinking of it as what you weigh right now matters, AT ALL.
There is one impirtant thing going on, you're trying to eat less to create a calorie deficit so that your body burns some fat to make up the difference. Burning fat is good, all the bouncing around the scales do with water etc. is just static. That static makes it a little harder and more confusing to see how fast (if at all) the fat is being burnt, is all. You weigh yourself to try to identify the trend so that you can see if the changes you've made to your diet are having the intended effect. From there it's just trial and error, if you want to burn fat a little faster, eat a little less.
Focus on doing your best to create a 500 calorie a day deficit and appreciate that you'll only expect to burn 0.5 kg a week if you are successful. Sorry for the essay. Rest when you need to just don't quit.
