2 Stones Off By Easter- a thread for those with lots to lose in 2024.

The 2 Stones off by Christmas thread was pretty successful.
Hopefully this one will be just as useful.
The idea is that losing 2 stones is just the start. If you have a lot to lose then it can seem daunting so... small targets.

That said, to get 2 stones off by Easter then we need to lose a bit over
2 lbs per week so a bit of dedication is needed.
Start Date- January 1st but join when you can.

Weigh In Day - usually Monday but it's up to you.

For those that are coming from the original thread I think for the new thread we need to add an extra element. Self care! Anything you can add to help you feel a bit better. Skin care? Body Lotion? Flossing your teeth?
Just a little something in addition to watching what you eat.

Happy new year everyone!

Ok signing in officially for the challenge. As a bit of background I started back in April last year, just after Easter 2023, after standing on the scales and weeping at what faced me. I launched myself into 12 weeks of Fast 800, and then have kind of continued those principles but obviously not 800 calories every day! I do kind of loose 4:3. I've lost over 6 stone and have 2ish to go. I managed to just hit the 2 stone sept- Xmas for the Christmas thread.

So -

SW (April 2023) - 18.9 st
CW (01/01/24) - 12 st (bmi 28)
TW - 10.3 st

I'm supposed to be doing a peloton workout today but have woken up feeling a bit dizzy and odd, so maybe later! Let's do this!!

Isthiscorrect · 01/01/2024 11:40

Happy new year everyone. Congratulations to those who have achieved and good luck with those who have more to go.

I'm checking in as since early November I've put 3kgs back on 🤦‍♀️ So I shall do my best for Easter.

chalkyc2 · 01/01/2024 11:40

@Sunshineandrainbow Honestly I know how you feel. I have virtually no photos of me over the last 15 years with my kids as I hated how I looked. I hit 50 last March and I feel like this is my last chance to shift this weight and keep it off. We used to have a reasonable dinner but then would graze on chocolate every evening. I realised I was eating double portions too. And sandwiches and crisps at lunchtime.

Somehow a switch flicked in my head last Easter. I've lost weight before but it's always gone back in and more. I need to lose the final 2 stone and then keep it off which will be another challenge completely. But currently 6 stone shifted feels amazing. You could do that by August. Or by next August depending on how patient you are!! Here to chat.

koalabearboombox · 01/01/2024 11:53

Well today didn't get off to the best start - was up all night with the 3yo who started vomiting this morning and hasn't stopped. Knackered and hungry. Going to start officially tomorrow but be measured with what I eat today.

Hank86 · 01/01/2024 12:01

started today too and did my post Xmas weigh in (yikes!)

cw - 12 st
goal by Easter - 10 st

let’s do this!

Mywhoopdeedoo · 01/01/2024 12:10

My scales need new batteries ! Will weigh in tomorrow

kirinm · 01/01/2024 12:18

I'd like to join please.

My aim was actually half a stone a month - trying to be realistic taking into account how difficult I find exercising since starting my new job. I have a very sedentary job and if I'm working from home I barely move all day.

I have 4 stone to lose - probably more and 2 stone by Easter would be amazing.

I think I'm going to consider intermittent fasting since I don't tend to eat breakfast anyway.

ToddlerMumma · 01/01/2024 12:21

I'm in! Weighed in at 200lbs today - 90kg. This is the fattest I've ever been Confused
My exercise plan is bootcamp 3x a week and a short yoga session each eve plus 10k steps per day.
My diet plan is dry January, no snacking between meals and healthier choices.
I actually mean it this time! I'm going away with family at Easter and would love to look better for that

kirinm · 01/01/2024 12:27

I am also hoping to run a half marathon this year. Probably May time. I used to run frequently and even managed after having my DD but the first lockdown basically destroyed my motivation and discipline and I've struggled to be consistent with running since. I was, up until I started my new job in November, having 2 PT sessions a week but now struggling to find the time to fit them in. I will work out how to though because I miss them a lot!

I'm also planning on trying to run 4-5 times a week but that can be just a couple of km - any distance just to make sure I'm getting out and running consistently even if for very short distances.

Els1e · 01/01/2024 12:28

Can I join in? Need to lose more than 2 stone but that would be a great start.

60 year old female
5’8
cw - 15 stone
ew - 13 stone

DearMartha · 01/01/2024 12:33

Really need this!
Age: 43
Height: 5'4"
CW: 10stone 3
GW: 8st 3

If I can hit any weight starting with an 8 by Easter it would be amazing.
Plan is stopping constant snacking, finishing kids leftovers, doing no exercise. Starting 10k steps per day, weights 3 x per week, healthy meal prep and upping protein.

ShitIforgothelves · 01/01/2024 12:43

Hi can I join. I do circuits twice a week and booked in with a PT once a week starting this week.
I'm doing no sugar January. And just eating sensibly.

Lavenderosemary · 01/01/2024 12:51

SW 164lb (27th Dec)
CW 158.5
GW 140

Started a little early :)

MmedeGouge · 01/01/2024 12:58

I would like to join too please.
2 stones to go!
I’m starting calorie counting tomorrow.
Swimming everyday.
Fast dog walking every day.
Limited alcohol. It’s my birthday early in the new year, then my partners.

RagzRebooted · 01/01/2024 13:11

Weighed in at 110.9kg this morning I'm doing kg because I've lost so much and gained it again over the years in stones and lbs that it's too depressing to look at my highest weight ever in stones, but I have no emotional attachment to kg! Yet.
Goal by Easter is 98kg, but anything under that 100kg mark would be amazing.
Intermittent fasting here and dropping the several bottles of wine a weekend.

MollsDolls · 01/01/2024 13:14

01/01/2024
SW: 16st 4lbs 🙈
CW: 16st 4lbs
Age: 51

1st target weight: 15st 4lbs.
I need to go stone by stone otherwise I get overwhelmed and can't see the end. Easier this way for me.

icantremembermylastusername · 01/01/2024 13:18

Can I jump on? I don't know the total I need to loose (as I daren't step on the scale yet). I suspect it will be a lot more than 2 stone, but that's a good start!

Sleeplessinseattle234 · 01/01/2024 13:29

@Sunsetsarethebest i would always calories count. Especially for the first little while. It really is an eye opener when u realise what u should be eating just to maintain your weight and how many calories there are in everyday foods. So many more calories in things that u just don’t realise.

ShitIforgothelves · 01/01/2024 14:04

Starting/current weight 153lb
Target weight 126lb would be nice! By the end of this year.
I can do it but struggle to stick at it.

Walkingbkwrm · 01/01/2024 14:44

SW 110.7kg
GW (for Easter) 98kg

Obvs need to lose more than that long term but think getting to under 100kg (if I can manage it) by Easter would be awesome. I tend to fall off the wagon after a few weeks though - hopefully you guys will help!

PotatoFan · 01/01/2024 14:56

I weighed in at 19st10 this morning. Thats 1 pound less than the 19st11 I started at on 18th December but half a stone up from where I got down to before Christmas.

Im going on holiday mid-late March so I’m hoping I could lose 2stone by then. I do have ME which makes exercise very difficult and am going to go with intermittent fasting (missing breakfast) and counting calories with nutracheck.

Ihonestlydontgetit · 01/01/2024 14:56
