It’s strange isn’t it, not being bothered about food! All I’ve eaten today is some prunes and quark, and a protein yoghurt, and I just feel disinterested/nothing. I will have some leek and potato soup tonight though.

Tindrum · 15/11/2023 20:39

I’ve taken my 3rd 0.5. Bizarrely I’ve felt far less appetite suppression on 0.5 than 0.25. I’ve also only lost 1lb over the last 3 weeks despite being careful with food. Don’t want to lose the faith but very keen to move on to the next higher dose. It’s almost like this pen is weaker than the last and of course I’m now starting to have crooked thoughts like what if I’m not eating enough and my body is holding on to what it has or what if I’m eating too much fibre and not enough protein? Such a shame as I was feeling I’d really cracked it last month.

EweCee · 15/11/2023 21:07

@Tindrum i feel exactly the same and could have written your post!

FattyPattyBumBum · 15/11/2023 21:11

@Tindrum same! I thought maybe boots had sent me a placebo

Laughsandgiggles · 15/11/2023 21:12

@Tindrum I'm another who could write your post!
Very strange that there are a few feeling the same thing. Suspicious!

Tindrum · 15/11/2023 21:58

@EweCee @FattyPattyBumBum @Laughsandgiggles that is astonishing. How odd! My order comes from Chemist4u so looks like we are sourcing it from different places. Could there be a fault with the manufacturer or is this a common occurrence at 0.5 I wonder? Either way thanks for making me feel less alone.

Lucydoods1 · 16/11/2023 07:24

can anyone confirm if the Wegovy 0.25g pen is the same as Ozempic 0.25g in that the Ozempic pen gives you 4 x 0.25g and 2 x 0.5g? Reason I ask is that I have just finished a 0.25g Wegovy Pen and only got 2 x 0.5 out of it? Annoyed as I am travelling and have another 2 weeks until I get home and it’s finished! Tks

EweCee · 16/11/2023 07:43

@Tindrum I also get mine from Chemist4U.... hmm, that is concerning!! I am still losing weight, but only 100grams this week and am on a 1200 diet making what I thought were really good food choices. On the 0.25 the weight just flew off with what I was doing! Starting to feel demotivated and that I won't make my next goal weight by Christmas as have just hung around the same weight for a few weeks now. Taking my 3rd .5 injection tomorrow.

221BBakerSt · 16/11/2023 07:50

Well I’ve got a gurgly stomach just from eating an apple!

Today’s food plan is porridge, orange juice, egg salad, and a protein yoghurt with stewed pears.

SofieM0 · 16/11/2023 08:01

Interesting to hear all the different stories.

on 0.25 I lost 5lb in total. My bigger (Water) weight loss was pre Wegovy when I started preparing. But I’m 2.5 days in on 0.5 and already 2lb down however I’m not surprised as I feel like crap most of the time! But I’ve defo had less food noise and more suppression. I’m getting from Boots I wonder if any of you are too who aren’t feeling it? Or if all Chenist4U? I guess you could have just gotten used to it and thus need a bigger dose but hmmm 🤔

also boots stocking issues seem to have eased. My last pen took 7 days but when I chased they said they’d resend and I got another in 3 days! So now I have x2 0.5 pens. I’ll prob stay on this dose a month longer to save costs and cos I feel it.

SofieM0 · 16/11/2023 08:04

Ah @FattyPattyBumBum i see you did get it from Boots. Sorry I didn’t read posts properly.

SofieM0 · 16/11/2023 08:09

I’m not sure if any of you are on the Facebook groups but there’s a really good post about sticking with it.
lots of people don’t feel benefits until on higher doses and some that can never move up beyond 0.5 as they’re just too ill. But to stick with it, it’s a long term lifestyle change - it will kick in and it will work. But for a lot of people they have to build up to it. I will try to take a image to add.

I'm on day 4 of 0.5 from Chemist4U and feel really queasy, headachey and burpy. I didn't feel a thing on 0.25. Definitely different for everyone. I read the results from some of the trials and they say the same as @SofieM0 's post. Be patient. The aim of these lower doses is purely to slowly introduce the drug to our bodies. They said only 10% of people saw significant weight loss on the lower doses. There was a further 10% who didn't lose even when on the highest dose. So 80% of us will need to be on at least 1.7 before the magic happens.

(So I'm trying to be patient and not get too jealous when I see posts if people losing massively at the start! 🤣

Tindrum · 16/11/2023 09:04

Great posts, I’m feeling thoroughly moral boosted 🤩. I think my confusion was that I had lost 10lbs on the .25 but only 1lb in three weeks of .5. I guess most people would have had a little wobble but you are quite correct, giving up is a sure fire way to fail! So I’m chin up today and wishing you all a happy Thursday 😁

EweCee · 16/11/2023 09:10

Thanks @SofieM0 I needed to read that this morning! Right, chin up, back to the 1200 today (I had wine and didn’t count calories yesterday evening although not bad food choices!), think long term and I can do this. Next goal - under 30 BMI….

SofieM0 · 16/11/2023 09:22

@Tindrum @EweCee I’m happy it helped! It’s pinned in the Facebook group and it’s referred to constantly haha. I like the bit that says unless you’re happy to financially commit for 6 months without any weight loss then don’t bother…puts it into perspective. Also I didn’t realise as @Tailfeather said, 80% don’t see loss until 1.7. So keep going and enjoy the last few doses without feeling shite haha!

221BBakerSt · 16/11/2023 09:32

Has anyone upped their vitamin C to help constipation? My partner is having a high dose as ill at the minute and mention it was causing very regular movements so I looked it up and it seems a nice healthy way?

Tindrum · 16/11/2023 09:56

@221BBakerSt i take powdered magnesium citrate which is also good for you while having the desired effect. Don’t take too much though!!!!

221BBakerSt · 16/11/2023 10:31

@Tindrum thanks, have just bought some. I’ve been lucky all my life to never suffer with digestion issues outwith actual stomach bugs so this is a learning curve!

Goneistheday · 17/11/2023 01:59

Can I join? I had my first injection of 0.25 on Tuesday. I woke up this morning with a terrible headache and feeling nauseous - a bit like the first week of any new diet tbh! I've noticed a difference almost immediately in that I don't feel as hungry. I think it'll take a while for my mind to catch up with my body though as I'm still thinking about food; but more like I'm trying to process my lack of interest on it rather than the usual cravings!

Tailfeather · 17/11/2023 08:26

@Goneistheday Welcome! I hope the headache and queasiness passes. I'm suffering at the moment, but just upped to 0.5.

Tailfeather · 17/11/2023 08:27

@Dynasty73 How are you getting on?

SofieM0 · 17/11/2023 09:39

I realise most of us are just starting our journey but has anyone had experience of travelling with Wegovy yet?

I know lots of people travel with needles and need meds kept cold and there doesn’t seem to be any issue with the semaglutide itself but I can’t quite figure out if the advise of it being kept out of fridge at room temp is for unopened or opened pens only (or if it doesn’t matter). I’m travelling for 4 weeks internationally so will have both an open and unopened pen. Hoping to just keep both of them out of the fridge for a few days whilst I fly (but in a cool bag) & refrigerate them later.

Also anyone managed to get their paper prescription to download when ordering online? Apparently I’ll need this as well as the boxes for airport security…

Nootkah · 17/11/2023 10:21

Startes Wegovy on 17th September, so two months ago. 6kg down. Pleased with that. Yes I know I could have done that with conventional dieting, but it's so effortless with Wegovy, I do t feel deprived at all.
