I've about to collect my first wegovy pen. That's amazing that you've lost 4lbs in a week! Hope it continues to work well for you. I would be happy with 2 or more off consistently a week.

Can I ask where you got yours from? The price and supply issues are worrying, especially when the dosages increase

Dynasty73 · 29/09/2023 08:07

Chemist4u ,had no trouble, buying , struggling this week had a relapse ate some sweets my weekends ,so having to try extra hard now ,
Good luck with yours

How are you feeling? Are you able to drink alcohol and eat high fat food like cheese?

whenlifegivesyou · 30/09/2023 04:29

Watch with interest

Dynasty73 · 30/09/2023 07:38

This week,a little bit harder than last week,
I don't drink alcohol but I do eat cheese as its protein, had a few cheats this week but not given up,just had covid jab so see how it goes

I took my first dose on Thursday. Seems to be working OK. I'm not as hungry but we'll see how it goes. Slight nausea that comes and goes but OK. Good luck with this week

Tailfeather · 30/09/2023 23:54

I definitely want to try it. I have 2 weeks of lots of client winjng and dining, but once they are over I'm keen to try.

Why did you decide Wegovy over the other options?

Tailfeather · 01/10/2023 00:03

How much do you pay? So many places are sold out and I've inly found 1 place for £399 per month!

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 01/10/2023 00:06

Wegovy is THE only option....the others are out of stock almost permanently!

whenlifegivesyou · 01/10/2023 07:48

Took my first dose 0.25mg yesterday lunchtime. This morning v mild intermittent nausea. I've had breakfast. Slightly less than normal .. I weighed myself. Here we go. This will be interesting.

whenlifegivesyou · 01/10/2023 19:23

So my first full day after having taken first dose. 0.25mg. A bit disappointed iih still felt hungry ..ate about 900kcal and logged it on MFP. But right now I'm hungry.

Bivarb · 02/10/2023 07:28

@whenlifegivesyou that's disappointing but I think it will improve as you steadily increase the dosage. I think 0.25 is just to get you used to the medicine's side effects. Hopefully you'll find it easier as you progress

whenlifegivesyou · 02/10/2023 17:49

Hi anyone know who has 0.5mg pens they seem to be sold out

I just ordered a 0.5mg pen from quickmeds

Bivarb · 03/10/2023 18:28

I weighed myself on Monday and lost 4lbs. That's a huge amount for me (shortie and pcos). Really hoping it continues. I'm not sure realistically if I can afford wegovy long term so hoping to get a good amount off in the coming months

Tailfeather · 03/10/2023 19:13

@Bivarb well done! Mine is being delivered tomorrow!

Excellent great news!

whenlifegivesyou · 03/10/2023 20:41

@bivarb I got one today from Rightangle so happy :)

Blondeleo84 · 04/10/2023 01:44

Hello,

I just started Wegovy, did my second 0.25 injection today. I’ve switched from saxenda to Wegovy and I’m struggling a bit because I feel so hungry compared to when I was on saxenda, I think I maybe should of started at a higher dose but the doctor said I had to start on 0.25 so I’m hoping it will kick in soon. Has anyone else been in saxenda and are changing over?

Ladybird69 · 04/10/2023 02:01

Has anyone got it from their gp or have you all bought it?

Disappointedsofa · 04/10/2023 05:32

I started Wegovy 6 days ago, have lost 5 pounds already. I am on the starting dose, I am finding the side effect of nausea is what is stopping me from eating so long may the nausea continue!
I am eating between 800 and 1100 cals a day so that is probably why I am losing the weight.
The food noise has gone, I no longer spend my day thinking about food, it's such an amazing feeling..just wish I didn't have to take a drug to feel like this.
I will admit I am still a bit nervous about taking it due to the risks etc and the box warning, but it has been the only thing that has worked for me..
Can I ask was anyone else worried about the risks before taking it?
@Blondeleo84 I have used Saxenda before back in 2021 , I stopped as I couldn't afford it anymore. I got the exact same side effects, nausea, although I feel Wegovy is def a bit stronger.

Blondeleo84 · 04/10/2023 09:13

@Ladybird69 I bought mine privately. I don’t think you can get it from a GP, my understanding is you have to be referred to the weight management team and I think that’s over a years wait. Im not completely sure, but that’s what I’ve heard.

@Disappointedsofa I completely agree with you about the food noise, it’s such an amazing feeling and makes it so much easier to crack on and stay on track. It’s only after doing this that I have realised just how much food consumed my thoughts all day. I was worried about the risks, but being overweight also has so many risks - but i want to be on this for as short amount of time as possible so that helps me to stick to my calories and get my steps in! I’ve lost 3st 7lbs so far on Saxenda and I want to lost exactly the same on Wegovy to be at my goal weight.

Bivarb · 04/10/2023 10:07

@Ladybird69 bought it. My GP can't prescribe it. He referred me to the weight management team who wanted to prescribe free 12 weeks of weight watchers or slimming world. I think it's hard to get on the NHS.

I knew another slimming club would be a waste of time so decided to source it privately. It's so expensive but will be worth it if it gets this weight off

@Disappointedsofa 5lbs is huge. Well done!

Ladybird69 · 04/10/2023 10:37

Oh ok thanks. I’m waiting to be prescribed it by my Gp! Going through the process of getting surgery but will go on the meds in the meantime. Best of luck with your weight loss everyone

EweCee · 05/10/2023 10:28

Thanks to this thread, my Wegovy 0.25 injection arrived this morning…. I am scared of injecting myself though (but more fed up of being overweight I think!). Also, had my Covid booster jab yesterday so maybe I should wait until I feel a bit better before taking the Wegovy?? Any tips for first time? And where do you inject yourself?
